  1. Read he wanted guard money. Ragnows contract was done around Covid (or at least that’s what kcsn said this morning on their podcast) so the market was bound to jump quickly. With that said, we need to wait for the details but 3/52 is 16.6 a year which is more manageable but 18 is probably what he is worth. Dude is a stud.
  2. KCSN guys were talking about him and were a little disappointed after a promising camp to show very little vs twos and threes in preaseason. Didn't write him off just said usually "Dudes" flash in moments like that. They still said he had time to develop but felt that Gray was firmly the #2 TE by a wide margin and weren't expecting to much this year from Wiley. I'm just glad they drafted a guy with the tools to attempt to develop. If we have Kelce for this year and next then we realistically only have one more attempt of adding a player for Kelce to mentor in person. Hope Wiley proves them wrong and balls out this year!
  3. If he can play this year and next then what more can we hope for. Dude has been everything asked for and more. Crazy to think of Mahomes without Kelce on the field.
  4. Love that from CJ95. Hope he has a 20 sack season. Cements himself as a first ballot HOFer and the lynchpin on D to a KC CHhiefs threepeat!
  5. I agree. Pacheco is the lead. Steele is the big back/fullback. Prince is Pachecos backup. I do think a speed back that can pass pro and catch would be a great type to fill out that group.
  6. Would be nice to add a speed back. I'm wondering if Steele doesn't steal CEH and Prince's spot and end up as the #2.
  7. Would they roll with Pacheco, Prince, Steele, LRZ?
  8. I think the lack of reps for Kingsley and Worthy are encouraging signs. The coaches see them everyday and want to protect them over getting them reps. For me they indicated they are seeing enough in practice. 100% agree with the other issues as well and yes it is a preseasonon game but those two are vying for a roster spot and have to secure the ball. With that said those are things that can be corrected easily with more focus. They flashed some in other areas which was encouraging.
  9. Gonna be honest, I wouldn’t mind him rounding out the we room. Brown, Worthy, and Rice are and should be locks. I know they have an affinity for Watson but I’d rather have Juju than Watson, Hardman, Toney, or anyone else on the back end of the roster. Remigio is intriguing though but the rest I think we’ve seen their ceiling. I don’t think we are desperate for him I just think he provides something those other don’t or haven’t and that is a reliable target that Mahomes trusts (outside of Watson sorta).
  10. Yeah I think the hype was a little overdone. We know he is really athletic but can’t imagine being thrown into the NFL with no football or very little experience when most of these guys have been playing since middle school. My guess he gets stashed on the PS with hopes he can make a run at the 53 next year.
  11. Not going to overreact over a preseason game that the Chiefs care very little about other than to get some guys some live reps and see certain players in certain situations. Agree with the above sentiment. CEH and Hardman are frustrating to watch. Whatever net gains Remigio has earned he lost most of it when he couldn't hold onto the ball tonight. Almost muffed punt and a fumble that for some crazy reason got called back. Ross making tough catches but for some reason can't ever crack that top 6-7 which is pretty sad consiering Toney, Watson, Moore, and Hardman fill those spots. Carson Steele making a strong push to make this team. Prince had a nice catch but just seems like an avg rb. Sure wish McKinnon wasn't washed up. Could use a 3rd back with some juice. LRZ is a practice squad player. His Pass pro is yikes bad and needs a full year of seasoning to even remotely have a chance to make a future 53. Secondary didn't have their best night either. What else did I miss or do you disagree with any of the above opinions?
  12. I'm just ready to watch the Chiefs again. What everyone else said is icing on the cake!
  13. FA or the draft. Neither would cost the 14-16 million that Bolton will demand as a FA. Shoot we could bring back Gay. Tranquil and Gay combined would be less APY than Bolton himself. I don't hate Bolton and he is an important piece to this D but he is limited and you don't pay top of the market for a 2 down thumper no matter how smart he is.
  14. I think Tranquil could step in without much a drop off and he is signed for next year. Priority list imo Creed Smith Bolton I think resigning Bolton and possibly Smith might be a mistake long term or limit our ability to address other needs down the road. I worry that signing top of the market contracts for positions of lower importance isn't prudent especially when those players aren't the top of their positions. Smith isn't even a top 15 guard in the league and I don't think Bolton is a top 10 LB either. They deserve to be paid but I think we would be wise to avoid paying them top of the market.
  15. I don't want anything to do with Jon Gruden. The NFL has passed him by. He and Mayock did nothing but draft first round bust after first round bust for half a decade before the NFL decided to let him take the fall for some crude emails. I think he is destined for the booth.
  16. Gotta think he has to max this deal out though as he has been drastically underpaid under his rookie deal as a 6th rounder. Doubt he takes a discount but we can always hope!
  17. Curious who this board would prefer if it came down to signing one of the following two? Trey Smith or Nick Bolton. Both very good but probably not elite players, respectively. Do either have a higher ceiling than what they have shown? I think most of us assumed Creed would get done because of the lower cost of retaining centers and Trey would walk, but this info from Nate seems to show the Chiefs want to get both done this year. Gotta think Smith wants top dollar considering he fell to the 6th in the draft and hasn't made nearly what his play is worth so far. To be honest its an interesting debate as neither are premium positions and both will want north of 15 million with Smith likely to get north of 20 million. Continuity is important but is that price point worth it? What say you?
  18. Why give him motivation though? Guys like that turn a compliment into a diss for motivation.
  19. Had Spags not had that bad HC run on his resume I think he would have been looked at very closely the past two years.
  20. Rarely does trading for a big name wr pan out. Even the Randy Moss trade the Patriots pulled off got derailed by a Spags D iirc. I believe you need good wrs but you have to develop elite ones not pay/trade for them unless you have hit homeruns on a lot of day 3 guys and have the money available. I will always miss Hill's electric big play ability (Him outrunning the entire Bills D in the 13 second game) but our roster is vastly superior overall. Besides Hill needs that extra case he is the Nick Cannon of the NFL now.
  21. I think he has 2 more elite years followed by a year or two of very good play. Need to get him some help at DT to stretch that career out though.
  22. He had major red flags at Alabama iirc. Had to go play at a Mississippi juco for a year before returning to Tuscaloosa.
  23. Thats a great deal. While I'm still scared everytime he touches the ball he raises the floor of that room and that contract is cuttable if other guys step up.
