  1. One of those loses we had like 3 TO and should have won the game but for a phantom PI last year as well. They are scary talented but also scary fragile.
  2. He is under contract next year is he not? Also didn't he (iirc) mention something about Mahomes taking less than he could have to give flexibility to the team? Thought I remember him saying that and he has definitely seen the benefit of doing it that way. He is coming off a very lucrative deal which could help us. I am not suggesting he will be cheap but I could see him allowing us to make him he highest paid DT in league history in the way the contract is worded by including some cutable years. We can at least hope because unless a team is willing to offer a top 12 pick for him you can't move.
  3. The Panthers also requested too iirc. This will cause other teams to bring him in if only to see why the others did.
  4. Feels like they are getting their Rooney rule candidate out of the way, but who knows! Hope its a legit interview!
  5. I'm not sure if I like the idea of EB running this ship. I'm not against it either per se, but he doesn't call plays and I've never heard his name come up when they talk about designing or creating plays and he gets in public beefs with Mahomes at times. I think he is a leader and a motivator and those are great qualities for a HC so who knows.
  6. I'm sure the NFL would love for the Bills to win the SB but Referee union doesn't like to be told what to do (remember the reviewable yet not really reviewable PI deal a few years back). I for one don't think the Bills are playing well enough to get past Cincy. They haven't looked great and with no Von Miller they aren't nearly as scary on D. I actually think a Tua led Dolphins team had a good shot to win but obviously not now with Skylar Thompson. Still can't see them getting past Cincy. That O is humming along and their DC seem adept in scheming up good coverage for talented qbs. Y'all might be right but we won't know until they play Cincy. Either way one of those teams isn't getting to the AFCCG and that makes me smile.
  7. You can scheme around one tackle but when both of our tackles were struggling earlier on it wasn't pretty. OBJ and Wylie have played better as of late but I think upgrading the RT spot will be easier and cheaper. I still believe they will make OBJ an offer similar to last years offer (20m apy range) and try and get that position settled before the draft/FA. OBJ would be wise to accept it this go around and we would be wise to get this done quickly as other LT are going to continue to reset the market.
  8. Injuries happen but losing him and Fisher that year derailed a great opportunity to go back to back. I know that game ended up looking lopsided but that game was super close in the 2nd quarter before the refs decided they wanted to gift the Bucs multiple chances to score.
  9. Just listened to that last night and yes it is very funny. Isn't that the guy blocking trees....and recording himself. Funny stuff indeed!
  10. Not sure Josh Allen could ever live down a loss like that. The Dolphins have ruled out Tua iirc.
  11. Sneed is much more than a CB to this D. He is a jack of all trades menace. He is so versatile and with McDuffie, Williams, and Watson on rookie contracts it seems like a no brainer to get this done. If you can extend him for 5/90 you do it. Next year will get a bump which will reduce the extended years some. It'll more than likely be a 3 year extension in reality with 2 cutable years. By then McDuffie and company will come due. He is big, fast, and has the ability to roam, play slot, outside if needed, travel, and blitz, make him invaluable for this D. CJ is another extension I would do. On D you would have CJ ~20-23m, Sneed 17m, Reid 10m, and then you have a bunch of rookies and middle tier vets. You still have plenty to spend on a DE if one comes available or a certain Bengals S.
  12. I couldn't remember them working together much before but maybe since they are Andy's guys the fish in the same pond. Who knows. I hate losing Kafka last year and the only reason we did was because EB didn't get a job. At some point the marriage has to end, because I felt like the Chiefs were handcuffed into resigning him from a PR standpoint. Kinda feel like we are in for the same rodeo this offseason. Lots of talk but no real traction for him to get a job and Andy will have to make a decision again. If he doesn't get a job this year, and EB truly wants to be the lead man then he needs to go elsewhere and prove it.
  13. All depends on what his demands are. Contract year was eerily similar to his first year. Slow start and then he comes on strong at the end. If he wants to be the highest paid LT then you have to tag and trade him. As much as I wouldn't want to pay him 20 million a year that will be a bargain in 2 years and there is continuity with him coming back. That isn't highest paid money but its life changing money for sure. I think Wylie could be upgraded much easier and much cheaper and that would raise the level of the entire Oline more than mortgaging the farm to upgrade OBJ.
  14. J.C. Jackson who was considered the best DB in FA last year got what 5/82 or 16.5m per. I could see Sneed getting something similar which would be fair.
  15. Ravens giving Roquan Smith 5/100 with 60 million guaranteed. Obviously, the devil is in the details but dang. What are y’all’s thoughts on giving Bolton that sort of deal? I love him but no way we can offer him a similar deal even if he is worth it can we?
  16. Andy is in a tough spot. If we let him walk then it in essence confirms the negative rumors about him. To be honest we already lost a real gem in Mike Kafka who after one year of making Daniel Jones look relevant is getting job interviews. I for one can't imagine him doing a worse job than Hackett did or a number of other horrid coaches. Who knows what is really going on. He could have been picky when his stock was high and passed up a chance and then missed out, or his attitude and personality could rub egotistical owners wrong, he might be a bad interview, or some other lame excuse. I am selfish in this regard and want him to get a HC job because I want our team to have more picks.
  17. Love your optimism! Not sure if I am that optimistic, but I 100% believe we can beat any team if we don't beat ourselves!
  18. Seems to have great chemistry with Mahomes already but would like to see him make more of those tough catches, but I hope we can bring him back for a cheap deal (harder and harder to do with the prices of wr's this year).
  19. I would keep him because of his ability to stretch the field. He is under contract and isn't breaking the bank plus he knows the system. I don't believe we can afford Hardman and while Toney is a freakish athlete he doesn't have the long speed of either. I look for us to draft a mid rounder with that deep speed. Also Mahomes just missed him on a handful of walk in TD's this year. I believe he will be our wr #3 to start the year and then Moore will move him to #4. I like the idea of that room being set before the draft.
  20. I don't quite get how it was that disrespectful. The score was 14-3. It wasn't like it was 28-3. I mean we knelt the ball on the 10 yard line to end the game, punching it in there would have been more disrespectful. I actually think it was creative and throws a wrinkle for defenses heading into the playoffs. It would not surprise me if we don't see more of that around the league because this league steals a lot from the Chiefs playbook.
  21. Agree OT. They are both respected and liked. Mahomes is humble and you can tell he doesn't take himself so seriously. Andy won't run up the score on anyone and is always loved by his players. There will always be haters just like there were with BB and Brady but everyone knows they are witnessing history in the making. Pretty awesome that he plays for our favorite team!
