  2. That's my hope k, and consistent. However, my gut says they are going to make an example out of him and it will be over the top and ridiculous.
  3. The NFL is never consistent in their punishment. This happened right after the combine and was a terrible look for the NFL. They weren't able to punish Ruggs really and they will definitely want to make an example out of him. My guess the initial punishment will be big and then a small reduction. My guess will be 6 games which is fair on one hand (He was reckless and stupid and was repeatedly warned about such things) and unjust on the other (domestic abuser get the same or less). On another note the Dolphins just signed OBJ to a 1/3million up to 8 million dollar deal. Not a bad deal at all. Kind of surprised we wouldn't have made an offer like that.
  4. I'm excited about Worthy's pass running ability to pair with that speed. He isn't a long strider like MVS and even Mecole for that matter. He is quick, not as quick as Tyreek, but very very quick and he tracks the ball well. If he stays healthy and can put on 10 lbs he is gonna be dangerous in our O. Our O at least on paper has filled out the necessary pieces to return to one of the most dangerous units in the NFL. We have two interchangeable deep threats that are both an upgrade over the trash we had last year. Kelce and Rice feast over the middle. Toney can be useful as a complimentary piece and Pacheco is a bell cow rb. I think the only kink in the plan is Rice's suspension. For that reason it would be wise to go out and grab a veteran that could overlap his spot. Zay Jones is a potential candidate. Hope to see a massive jump from last year in offensive productivity.
  5. Was wondering the same thing. Seems like weather is a big advantage for us in certain situations (Miami this year in the playoffs) but vs a run first power team a dome would be a better advantage most years. Team say would be of upmost importance. I still think the main reason for it is the ability to host a Super Bowl and then to host events throughout the year.
  6. . Those things don’t happen quickly. I’d say at the earliest it would be 4-5 years. Would be a shame to drag it out only to miss out on the prime of Mahomes career.
  7. Did anyone see the rumor that we inquired about DK Metcalf during the draft? Interesting if true. Veach also mentioned something about exciting FA news but I took that to mean UDFAs but it would be interesting if he meant other FA's.
  8. That is what I took out of the Veach question and answer session. Give them a chance to battle it out. If they aren't up to snuff then they bring in Smith or a vet.
  9. Worth it. Dude has been giving team discounts for the past decade and never complained once. If we get two more years out of him we did good.
  10. I think he will be back in late October or November and then need a month or two to get right. Like you said just in time for the playoffs and hopefully fresh. His injury will give some of the younger guys some extra reps which will either help in their development or spotlight a need next offseason. Maybe Cullen likes what he has in Farrell or Buggs and thinks that between Wharton, Nnadi, Pennel, Buggs, Farrell, and Lovett he has all he needs. All i know is we are going to get tested in the run game a lot more this year and moving forward with Pierce and Harbaugh coaching in our division.
  11. How much cap money do the Chiefs normally keep for emergencies? 3-4 million? They currently have what 14-15 million after the draft? 3 million to Donovan Smith, Vet min for a RB (Breida or Cam Akers). That leaves 11 million? Go get a DT and DB with the rest? Calais Campbell is old but huge and still productive. Play 60% of the snaps and had 7 sacks last year in Atlanta. Imagine him next to CJ? Not sure what he would cost for a one year deal but ~5-6 million? Then a DB. Gilmore has a 71 pff grade last year. He is long in the tooth but would be a good veteran presence and shouldn't be to expensive at this point in the offseason. Sneed > Calais and Gilmore but it would make the difference very minimal. With this draft full of wr's I think we could get a veteran for the minimum to play on a one year deal if it gets late enough in the process. I know most of us have written off Toney and Skyy but they are going to make this team unless Remigio or Ross beat them out fairly for the job. They are both cost controlled and outside of trading Toney he is worth more on the roster than being cut. That could potentially change but my guess is he will have a rebound year and play better because he won't be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th option on O and there will be no pressure. Even without those older vets this team is primed and ready to defend their back to back championship!
  12. Lovett was a guy some mentioned would be a good mid-late round pick. Don't know much about Jacobs but both seem like potential keepers. Helps they are vying for a spot at a weak position (DT and the last LB spot not the group as a whole). I like the punter competition and there was a super athletic DB we snagged as well but forget his name at the moment. Veach doing work!
  13. Sorry Xen, was gone all day to a deaf kids event and just got home. Scrolled back 3-4 pages and was responding to an earlier post, then I saw your post. Brugs had him as a 2nd round pick. Love the value there. Thought we got great value throughout the draft and filled some immediate needs and upcoming needs potentially.
  14. RGR said Dane Brugler had him as his top safety. Dane is pretty good so that is encouraging but at this point how can anyone doubt the DB's selected by the Chiefs.
  15. How is Franklin still on the board. I know his combine was atrocious but his film is pretty good. Gets open a lot and has deep speed.
  16. I hope he can too. If he can develop into an above avg starter year 2 and then good LT years 3-4 then this pick will be a homerun. We don't need Trent Williams at LT but we need an upgrade over Donovan Smith level play on a cost contolled contract. Hope its works out but he has all the tools.
  17. I'm pumped we got him at the end of the 2nd round. At some point we have to develop some of these premium positions. Spending a couple picks on finding your long term LT are picks well spent.
  18. Our first 4th rounder is forever and a day away but a few guys that are on my wish list at that spot are. Khristian Boyd - DT Dominick Puni -OG/OT Khyree Jackson - DB Jaylen Wright - RB Leonard Taylor III - DT
  19. That makes sense. Teams knew we wanted a tackle so to protect that.
  20. Or do they sit pat and wait. Some good players will fall to the 4th? In all honesty, we don't draft all that well in the 3rd lol.
  21. Loving the start to this draft. Selfishly hoping we trade back into the 3rd round.
  22. Curious why we would trade up one spot?
  23. Wouldn’t mind at all but curious why he is falling. Daniel Jeremiah has him ranked low though and he is very well connected so maybe there are some red flags we aren’t privy too.
  24. Who are some guys you are interested in at 64? Kinglsey Kneeland TJ Tampa Haynes Beebe Sanders Rosengarten
