  1. I hope they let Buchele play with the ones. Would like to see if he has what it takes to be the #2
  2. He has all the tools but he and Watson on O are being hyped a lot. One of those guys is my guess. Hoping it’s none though.
  3. He plays like this for 3-4 more years and he is a first ballot HOF, as it is now he is a borderline HOF if he never plays again. His stats are in elite company.
  4. We need to brace ourselves for Hill having the best year of his career. Their HC can scheme up some nasty stuff and if they give him Kupp targets (which they didn't pay him to not get Kupp touches) he is liable to have a huge year. Even if that happens I am ok with the trade.
  5. https://us.yahoo.com/sports/tyreek-hill-drew-rosenhaus-share-122915677.html I love how they try and spin this story.
  6. This article is off considering we can cut Frank Clark and save another 21 million according to Spotrac. So 37 million is way different than 16. Our problem is we can't find a very good DE to pair with Jones without paying through the nose. Chances of us finding one next offseason will be the same. For Jones to reach his potential he needs talent around him like Donald has had these last couple of years. One player can be schemed around, 3 not so much.
  7. I'd rather pay him now and lock up that position. When the salary cap jumps it won't look so bad. Also this is a premium and important position that we shouldn't have to worry about for the foreseeable future. I'm bracing for ~5/115 but Veach is really good at making those deals work for both sides so I'm not worried.
  8. Crazy when you think we traded for him to play the position he wanted and when he did at slightly above avg he thinks he is elite. I don’t mind paying for him but 5/105 is my limit. There is a little wiggle room if he wants the apy higher with lower guarantees then I guess technically he could win the “highest paid” prize while being cutable after 3 years. He is a good player and we need him but he doesn’t have much leverage. We offered a mid 2 for him and will get at least 2 years for him and at worst a comp 3rd. Not sure who is in his corner but he needs to participate and show the org that he is serious about football if he wants that kind of money. Not hiring an agent at this point and sitting out aren’t gonna to help him.
  9. Meh, most rbs would eat in this offense. His best ability was pass pro which our 7th round pick is supposedly really good at and tremendously faster.
  10. I think we are in a pretty good place in regards to big deals and their rotation. Thuney will come off the books when Creed needs to be paid. CJ will be off the books when we need to pay a DE top money. Kelce will be done when we need to pay a WR top money. Frank will be gone next year. Next year we will have reduced our big ticket players significantly in preparation for the next wave of big ticket players. Having a lot of draft picks again next year will help us solidify a cheap and young roster for the next 4-5 years. We can pay OBJ 5/100-110 and still be in good shape.
  11. I don't want him in this division. He is a dirty player and playing twice a year against Mahomes is a little concerning.
  12. The longer we wait his price point won't look like bargain. Worse case scenario he gets forced back to RT and we have an expensive RT. There are lots of things worse than that scenario.
  13. Ingram just got signed. Until he signed he would have still been on our books so we have more than 11.4 million now.
  14. Ingram would have helped us but I don't think he gives us the spark he gave us late last year throughout an entire season. It worked out great last year and nabbing a pick for free is smart business. There are a few other guys out there we could bring in and their is no rush. My guess is we will add another DE now and then see who gets cut. My hope is we trade that pick for Robert Quinn but doubt that happens.
  15. I think Karlaftis is going to have a very good rookie year. We thought Ingram was a revelation but the truth is we have been so bad for so long at DE that an avg DE looks like a can’t do without player. We will have more sacks this year than last and Frank will have more than last year because the speed and overall quality on D will be improved. Veach isn’t done on the dline. We will add another piece. Clowney is a better player than Ingram just more expensive. Quin had a nice year last year as well and could be available if the comp is right. I’m with you Palangi!
  16. I like Ingram and his return would have helped but he is older and a full season probably would not have yielded the late season he had last year. This is not bashing a guy we didn’t get but stating the facts like others have already done. We were so bad last year that his nominal play made us all overvalue his actual performance. He is far better than Kaindoh, Danna, Herring and even the unknown of Karlaftis at this point but the sky isn’t falling. Veach didn’t place the tender on him because he wanted Ingram to know we wanted him. It was placed because they knew there was a good chance someone else would sign him. There are still rotational guys on the market and after a deep DE/Rush draft there will be veterans after the cuts in June. I personally would love to trade for Robert Quinn. Veach isn’t panicking over missing out. We had the money if we wanted him. I’m going to be patient. This problem as a whole won’t get fixed this off-season but I believe we fixed a lot of the other holes on this D and that will help tremendously.
  17. Just saw on Twitter. Well then I guess we will enjoy the pick and not the player .
  18. I think he has a great shot at making the roster. Good size and good coverage ability for someone his size. Not saying he is a locked down lb but the dude covered the slot at times at Iowa State. He only misses this roster if he doesn’t play ST like you said, but I believe he knows that and will be a good ST player. Kinda surprised he didn’t get drafted. He was rated as a 4-5th rounder my a few pundits.
  19. Love his versatility. Also, love the fact they are getting him Mike reps now. I bet Spags is pumped about his blitzing ability.
  20. The faster he shows out the faster gets paid. My guess is he didn’t want to reinjure anything before he could get paid in the NFL. I’m sure he never imagined he would go undrafted. Also unfortunate his biggest year came before NILs and he has been injured the past two. It’s a great lottery ticket with a high high ceiling and no risk. The fact he choose us is awesome too! Pulling for the kid!
  21. Preparing for Brown contract is my guess. Ducks in a row!
  22. Honestly I could see another Tyreek Hill situation that nets us a couple picks. Not the same haul as Hill but I could see a first round pick or a package of 2nd and 3rd rounders. I wouldn't personally do that though. The FA pass rushing class is pretty pathetic next year so I would be inclined to keep/extend Jones. Part of me wishes we could have made that Hill trade earlier (No one could have known) so we could have added another pass rusher. However, we didn't overpay an older vet and at some point we are going to have to develop and draft our ends. This draft added one solid DE and a bunch of secondary. Hope we hit on enough that our secondary is set for the next 3-4 years and we can do the same at DE, DT, and WR next draft.
  23. Kinda feel like this year he won't be back.
  24. We also had 9 dudes testing and they had 6. Harder to keep a higher avg the more you draft.
