How did any other team score a lot of points without Tyreek Hill? We have just as many weapons as Buffalo and any other team in the league right now. Kelce is a #1 threat in his own right. Juju is no slouch. MVS is a solid #3. Hardman is as good as any #4 in the league. While we aren't as explosive without Hill we aren't helpless and I'm willing to bet we are better this year than last year.

Thornhill is the only safety that knows and has experience in Spags D. It will be a make or break year but he is going nowhere. How many DBs total did we keep last year? 11? Sneed, McDuffie, Fenton, LJ, Williams, and Watson/Baker/Barcoo/Bootle/Johnson. Reid, Thornhill, Cook, Bush, Anderson/Key I think Bradbury is still very much in play. Bradbury, Mcduffie, and Fenton can play outside which allows Sneed to play a robber/slot role.

I'm curious if we pursue Bradbury if the Giants cut him. If they do that will be the most telling about Fenton. LJ from the Texans looks to be a good depth addition but adding another sure fire starter will show that the Chiefs have concerns about Fenton.

I could see us making a run at Bradbury when he gets cut and making a run on an edge outside of Ingram. Sneed, Fenton. McDuffie and Bradbury make a nice set of DBs with Johnson and a Williams rounding out the group. Stash the others guys on IR.

Would be nice to get that contract done and behind us. Only gonna cost us more and more if we wait. Don't like overpaying guys who aren't elite. I'm not bashing on Brown and am glad we have him and I also don't mind Veach and Co paying him but he isn't a top 5 LT in the L and the longer we wait we will keep resetting the market with him. Get him done and allow the cap to sky rocket making it similar to Mahomes deal. A down the road bargain.

With these two bigger LBs any chance we see some variations of the 3-4 sprinkled in? Probably not just curious y’all’s thoughts

Am I being a homer to think this kid could develop into a 10 sack guy? I'm not saying 15-16 but 9-11 consistently? He is a little stiff but he is a beast and I wonder how great the coaching is at Purdue.

The Dline isn’t much improved unless Karlaftis is a revelation, but what we did in the secondary and at LB cannot be overlooked. How many sacks were missed by .5 seconds because the LBs or Secondary wasn’t athletic enough to stick with their man for just a tick longer. I think we will be closer to the middle of the pack which overall will be an improvement.

I remembered correctly. To be fair Kelce has done that to many a DB over his career.

Wasn't Lonnie Johnson a tall DB.....also didn't Kelce snatch his soul on multiple occasions. Maybe I have this guy confused.

Well said Liquid. I’m super pumped about the draft as well. Really sets us up nicely for the next 5 years if these guys pan out as contributors and a few shine. We go into next year needing a complimentary DE, another WR, and interior DL. We have plenty of picks and money to easily do that and do it well all while not punting on this season. We are going to be tough by the end of the year!

Getting drafted in the 5th should be a great motivator for him to stay in better shape. Dude seems like he has a chip on his shoulder. Hopefully he is motivated. The phone call with Veach and co was humorous because he seemed less enthused than the Chiefs were. I’m sure he is just a more serious dude, but hought that was funny when there seemed to be awkward pauses lol. I hope he wins the job and dominates.

I like we signed Jerrion Ealy. Shifty back could be a nice udfa signing.

Not sure how many will start. Could be more via injuries but by earning it I would say 3-5. I think lots will play though. Chenal, Karlaftis, and mcduffie week 1. Moore maybe by the end of the season. Cool possibly if we start our in dime. Kinnard has a decent chance as well. Possibly 6?

Kinda, we addresses DL once lol but our defense is so much better overall. We will be better this year and set up for the next 5 if half these guys can contribute! Pumped!

Boltons natural position is inside. We run a 4-3 base so there is only one Mike which is Bolton. Gay can play Sam but he is better suited for Will. Conversely Chenal is better suited to play Sam or Mike. He maybe could be coached into playing more coverage based on his RAS but he didn’t do much of that at Wisconsin. Sam is also the easiest to transition to so it makes sense for him to be the base Sam on first and second downs and then step off until until he is up to speed in coverage. Jmo

Nah I don’t think he goes anywhere this year. He still has the most experience in this Spags D in the secondary outside of Sneed and Fenton. New full time Mike and a lot of young guys will insulate from that this year imo. I do think they drafted for his potential replacement in 2023. Our theee safety sets are going to be way better this year than in recent memory.

He is so young. Some of the concerns I hope are overblown or can be corrected with better coaching. Love the motor and toughness.

One of those disgruntled wrs. Not saying they should trade for one but at this point that would be the only real chance this year. I have a hard time believing with the draft in KC that Hunt would allow them to trade a first.

Any word about udfas that we have signed

We got got a lot better this weekend and we still have that 22 million per saved which can still be used now or next year to fill a gap at wr or de. Super pumped!

We deported every one of Toubs guys so those guys might be ST only players. Not sure just a guess.
