Why do I get the feeling we gonna draft Travis Jones and Sky Moore in round one. Like those players but think both are reaches.

All those draft picks and then signing a wr to the contract we offered Hill won’t make us better? We offered 22.5million per year. Pretty sure we could get a top tier wr for that. Not saying they will be as good as Hill but the net haul could easily make it a landslide if we draft well.

Hope we don’t reach for a 2nd round talent we because of this run. Grab bpa and build this team. There is going to be a top end wr that a team can’t or won’t pay.

If Hutchinson is the next Nick Bosa and then giving up in essence three second round picks it’s totally worth it. Not saying he is but if you think he is then you pull the trigger in a second.

Contracts push all decent wrs up the bird but imo that would be a mistake. Use this inefficiency to grab some talent that falls. College will pump out more and more wrs that can play early as the game evolves. Reaching or overpaying only hamstring you later unless you hit on less talent later in the draft which is harder to do.

Thinks DE will fall and has is taking Watson. King usually has a bead on the Chiefs. Love the idea that DEs are falling but hate Watson in the first. Would love to trade up for Johnson and even more so for Kayvon.

If you are willing to take a flyer then why not trade a seventh for him and those team controlled 4 years.

Love his ability but attitude issues are big concerns for team chemistry and unity. Maybe he was miserable as a Giant, but these issues go back to college. I guess if the price was a 5th or worse then sure but any more than that and I am out.

Saw some clips on him and after Sauce Gardner saying he was the hardest to defender I would love having him.

Getting him at 50 or between 30-50 would be great!

He also had Stetsen freaking Bennett throwing the ball to him. Dude is gonna be good and he is a bully on the field. Would have no problems drafting him at 29....but I think he will be gone.

I think we get used by agents as well. Feels like we are being used at times but I agree it cuts both ways. Teams need to overpay to keep us from getting said player whether we actually wanted that player or not.

John Metchie III is the other wr who would be a fringe first round wr had he not blown out his knee at the end of the year. Olave and Wilson are very good wide receivers but I'm not sure either set of wide recievers are household names. The random person probably doesn't know either set.

Watson's drops are a bit concerning on the limited usage. He is super talented and enticing but our system is already hard to learn add that with a raw wr that has played at a lower level of competition and in a run heavy offense and I think the risk reward for us is too much. I think it might take Watson the better part of two years to get all the way up to speed. There are quite a few polished wr's with more than enough talent that we wont have to double reach for Watson.

What rounds do you want them to take these wr's? I agree they need to get at least 2 considering what wr's cost and the fact we only have one on contract past this year.

Was doing a mock the other day and saw Woods was a physical freak. High upside. Wonder why he is a 3rd day prospect? His film bad or just not utilized correctly at Baylor? Pitre gets a lot of love, you would think Woods would draw some attention when watching his fellow safety. Curious for sure and I like our db capabilities to develop.

Probably figured it was all for leverage. At the end of the day the money wasn’t all that different. Drew just got Hill to get an extra year and a few million more. Good on him for earning it but let’s not pretend like the Chiefs wouldn’t over pay. If we gave them 30 and a fourth and paid him 4/22m. We netted a 2nd, 4th and 6 and got younger at wr. Yes less explosive but I could live with that.
