  1. Dang, was hoping he would fall into the late teens. That sucks.
  2. That Bears O is loaded. Caleb won't have many excuses.
  3. Wow Penix to the Falcons. Keep pushing players down. Maybe we can get lucky and see JJ and Bo go in the first.
  4. Pats looking to trade for Aiyuk so that might put WR on the list for the 49ers at 31. Depending on who they might want they are going to have to trade up in front of the Bills and 49ers.
  5. Just saw Amon Ra St. Brown got 4/120 with 77 guaranteed. We would be wise to draft a couple wr's in the draft. We have to develop some premium positions to manuever around Mahomes and Jones contract. 2 WR, OG, OT, DT should be a must in the draft. Maybe they push the LT position for another year but the first 4 positions are getting paid a premium and we are thin at IDL talent.
  6. Working myself into the idea of trading way up and grabbing a LT even if it cost us next years first. LT is a premium position and having one locked into a good contract for 5 years would be huge.
  7. Would you be willing to do that? I would. I know losing next years first would stink but if this guy can finally lock down that left side on a rookie 5 year deal then its worth it. Premium position at a good price. Ran a mock that it cost us 32, 1st 2025, and our original 3rd to move to 14th. I would be far more comfortable trading that far up for a LT than a WR though. 14. Draft Fashanu 64. Ja'Lynn Polk 78. Maason Smith - Cost one of the 5ths this year. 131. Brandon Coleman.
  8. This draft is intriguing. Wish EB had gotten hired so we could have gotten that extra 3rd this year. Would have been an excellent year to have more picks.
  9. I do think he can change obviously, but this era is bigger than him and this draft affords us the ability to take two wr's in the off chance he screws up again. I think we should take it. I'm tired of these one year rentals at WR. Lets give Mahomes some young talented guys that he can grow with for the next 5 years.
  10. They are great! I hadn't seen any in years until you posted that. Think I'll go back and dig them up for a good laugh.
  11. With what OG's are getting now it wouldn't suprise me at all if we didn't use our 2nd on an OG to be the main backup first year and then slide into RG next year. I wouldn't love it but I would totally understand if they wanted to trade up and get a OT in the first and then draft an OG in the 2nd. Cost controlled OL at two spots knowing Thuney, Taylor, and soon Creed will be making a lot. Again wouldn't like it but would understand.
  12. I look for Taylor and Toney to take a big jump back to being a productive players on this team. Rough start to the season last year for both. I think Toney never recovered mentally. A good offseason could potentially help both of those guys this next year.
  13. How many lawyers called these people immediately after the accident? They probably won't see but a couple hundred thousand while the lawyers rank it 50% of whatever they settle for.
  14. I meant no insult. You have some crazy takes. Not sure if its overreaction or this is just a safe place to vent for you. You do overreact a lot, though. A lot of us do but it's normally reserved for the game day threads only. I didn't call you an idiot or stupid just that that it was a bad take and you seem to have quite a few. I actually think you are intelligent and while I disagree with many of your takes I enjoy you on this site. An echo chamber is no fun for a football fan forum. If I offended you, then I apologize. I'll be more careful in the future. As for drafting him again. I would but this incident would obviously drop him in the draft but it changes nothing about his ability on the field and as his first incident it doesn't form a pattern of poor decision making or trouble. I mean we drafted a pregnant wife beater, this doesn't even remotely remove a player off our boards imo. Even the Hunt issue looked horrible but the only reason we cut him was that he lied. This team is all about giving second chances. One of our HC's best characteristics is his willingness to give players second chances.
  15. Yikes. Not even sure I'm glad we resigned him for around the vet minimum but he is loved in the lockerroom and as a backup has a place. Overall, just a horrible draft pick positional value wise. Understood it at the time a little but just never panned out like they hoped and hopefully a lesson that Veach never repeats (I don't think he ever will).
  16. Come on Fmbl. While some never grow out of this phase of their life, plenty do. Most of us have done things that could have put others in danger and most of us were fortunate enough that our stupidity didn't. Acting like no one can change is ridiculous. Step back from that ledge my friend. That stupid kid as a rookie acted nothing short of professional and like a veteran of 10 years in the playoffs last year and without him we probably don't win our 3rd SB in the Mahomes era. Will he change? Only he knows. Can he change? 100% he can. This was one of your worst takes yet and that is saying something.
  17. Plus Worthy is the perfect compliment to Rice. Brown can help him the first year and give us two deep speedsters and then next year we let Brown walk for hopefully a big pay day and we have our two long term wr's on the roster.
  18. Yeah Worthy isn't he prototypical track guy. Dude is quick and runs good routes. Dude isn't Tyreek but he's probably as close as they come.
  19. He had a hand injury that was disclosed after season. They aren't walking away form him for some low snaps. That is easily correct the part after that isn't as easy to teach and he is the best in the league now that Kelce retired.
  20. Yeah can't see a path forward for Trey unless they let Bolton walk. Its 2 of those 3 imo. We hope someone gives Trey that 5/100 type of deal. I actually think we draft an OG way higher than most think we will for that very reason. IOL depth this year and starter moving forward.
  21. We need talent at IDL. I would take him at 64 if he was there. We could use an actual 1 tech that can handle double teams. Wonder if that will make him drop into the 3rd round.
