  1. We didn't even sniff at Justin Houston......I think Balto is right. Zero chance. Sad because he probably cost us a SB. What a great complementary back for Pat Mahomes.
  2. Seattle is going after Watson I doubt they want the cupboard bear when he gets there. Like others have said we cannot afford to be using high picks on players we are going to have to turn around and pay $20 million a year to. I still think the best course long term is sign a guy like Juju to a one year deal. Draft a wr in the first or second and use the remainder on D.
  3. Curious how they have any money to spend in FA. For me it isn't next year that is the issue its the years after that. I think we already saw him decline physically this year. Great dude, but if you want to be a perennial championship caliber team you have to know when to let guys walk. This is that time.
  4. Sign Juju and use the 1st or 2nd round pick on a wr. Juju isn't a world beater but he is not afraid to go over the middle and is a big upgrade over what we had. The rookie is a depth and gives him a year to learn and Mecole is a bonus.
  5. Villanueva had a 65 overall in a run heavy offense. Brown had a 75 in a super heavy pass offense. That number isn't as close as you think it is. Villanueva was straight garbage last year. Brown got better as the year went on. If Mahomes reigns in his deep drops that number will go up for Brown. The fact this Oline did as well as it did in their first year together and it had two rookies. Can't imagine how good they are going to look with a full offseason together. Pay the man and move on. Trying to find a one year stop game restricts overall continuity and growth on the oline. You are eventually going to have to pay a good OT big money. Pay Orlando now and it will look like a bargain in two years.
  6. I’m glad we resigned Gordon. He didn’t have time mentally and psychologically to get back up to speed. It’s a low risk high reward signing. Proud of the guy for staying clean and being positive in a lackluster year for him. That had to be tough to know you just wasn’t quite right and instead of making excuses or pointing fingers he remained positive and gracious. Im not holding out hope he’s going to dominate but I hope he can get back up to speed and be a fourth or fifth option. He’s a beast if he can get right.
  7. Sammy was hurt a lot so his numbers were skewed also when teams would double hill and Kelce Watkins came up with big plays in big moments. Not saying Mecole Is bad and he did finish strong but I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket. I think KC finally realized how to use him more effectively which is still not in the natural flow of the game. Mahomes still doesn’t trust him for whatever reason. Also I love the idea of Mecole being our #4 option behind Hill, Kelce, and FA/draft.
  8. Or we could use that first round pick to draft George Pickens and have him for 5 years on a rookie deal and use the money for DK towards a DE/DB.
  9. We aren’t getting any comps this year as we will be buyers.
  10. I love this plan! Draft a 1st or 2nd round guy that could push Hardman and even Juju for snaps and create some competition and depth. Then that rookie wr could step up next year if we can only get Juju for a one year deal. Financially that would be huge. There are gonna be some studs at wr even at our 2nd round pick.
  11. I think he is a huge upgrade over anything we have behind Hill and Kelce. I don't think he is elite but his price point will be a big plus. If he gets a contract similar to what he got last year then we could draft another wr in rounds 1/2 to pair with Hill, Hardman, and possibly Pringle. That would allow more money to upgrade the D. Signing an Allen Robinson/Cooper/Godwin, which would be an upgrade over Juju, is gonna be in the 15-20 million range and take away what we could do on D. Which route do you prefer or do you prefer another line of thinking?
  12. Agree! If true we did well. Heard rumors Adams might get 25 or more per year.
  13. Isn’t a little injury prone and expensive? Flooding the market though and this draft should make it easier for us to find a good #2 in our price range though!
  14. I just see a GM turning over every leaf. There were rumors about EB, Reid, and Mahomes. So why not make a call and see if there is anything too it. I just don't see why people are dragging the Commanders GM over a phone call. Not saying you are just in general of course. That is true, not sure why Veach would do that.
  15. I really don’t see the issue. He called every team to see. Hey what would it take hypothetically. Then you start building a base line for guys value in the area you can afford. Also it’s possible to inquire about other areas of needs. Don’t see the big deal here.
  16. Thus the Hitchens cutting. I mean it is beneficial to Hitchens but let’s not pretend like this wasn’t the main reason.
  17. This isn’t a big deal. We can’t let him hit free agency. This is merely to buy time to work out the long term deal. If those stall then it might be an issue but at 17 million and being our LT can’t imagine he is going to be super mad.
  18. The only rb on this roster worth much is McKinnon. Williams is good at pass pro and avg at anything else. Unless he’ll take vet min then pass. Clyde better light preseason on fire as well.
  19. I agree. I think rbs can be found in just about every round. Spending a 1st on a RB is an idiotic move. I’m sure Veach has learned! I’m not even sure they will exercise the 5th year option for him. I think 3rd day pick or an older vet like Phillip Lindsay.
  20. The holes this O line opens up sometimes is amazing....but our running backs outside of McKinnon aren't fast enough to hit them. We don't need JC but we need a 4.4 dude to bust some big runs.
  21. Nope, Freeman. But I actually meant D’Onta Foreman. He looking really good for Tennessee at RB. We don’t have a bell cow running back. Foreman looked better than Henry in the playoffs.
