  1. Well the second drive was moving the ball then the refs decided to call holding on Wylie when it was a weak hold and the defender had his face mask. And they knocked Hill to the ground with no call. Basically ended drive.
  2. Yeah. Love HBs leadership and smarts but he disappears for games at a time. We could used that $15 million per to a DE who can get sacks and pressure.
  3. We were saying the same thing. Just gives the D a chance to push and the Oline can’t be too aggressive because it’s a potential RPO. Line up in the I and play action. It’s gashing them.
  4. What’s up with the refs? Wylie’s hold? The dude was grabbing his face mask. Then knocking Hill down. And Chase is pushing off every play.
  5. At what point does Spags try and double Chase. It’s all Burrow has. Yet we put Fenton and Sorensen on him.
  6. Pat heard all the noise this week. This offense looks so balanced and dominant!
  7. Yeah that call on Fenton was so pathetic. Also looked like a push off on Ward on that Chase catch. Would like Spags to dial up some more pressure.
  8. The coaches I’m really concerned about losing are Sam Madison and Dave Merritt. Dude are constantly making chicken salad with Brett’s help.
  9. I got the vibe he is a douche of the highest order. Normally a HC wouldn’t or shouldn’t have a hard time nabbing a good percent of his assistants if they believe in him.
  10. We waived Elliot Fry so I’m gonna assume Butler is gonna play
  11. Not far off Doc, considering they missed a fg and we missed a fg and extra point. (40-13)
  12. We went up early and the game felt over in the 2nd quarter. He didn't practice all week and I'm sure we executed the gameplan with the players that were there. Glad he got a chance to rest.
  13. Great all around win without some key pieces. Defense looks super tough, Offense looks versatile and on track and ST looked great with two of the biggest contributors out. Pringle may never be a #2 wr but he's a solid #3 and great #4. Gordon is this years Leveon Bell. The step he lost is the difference imo. I was hoping this would be a break out game for him and I'm just not sure he has much left in the tank. Glad he seems to have gotten his life on track though. CEH hurts if nothing more than depth. This team needs a fast back because some of them holes are an Mack Truck wide but our guys just can't quite hit them in time to get the chunk plays. They still did a great job today. Oline is starting to look very very good, even with Wylie playing RT. Mahomes didn't look like he was running for his life at all today and the one sack he stayed in the pocket too long. Mahomes looks like Mahomes of old with the added ability to sit and stay in the pocket and deliver. That pass to Pringle in the end zone was so nice as he maneuvered in the pocket. TJ Watt wasn't a 100% but that Dline is no joke and we demolished that D today. Defense looked dominant and the 2nd half it looked like Spags dialed it back quite a bit. Holding the Steelers to 10 when they scored the final drive against 3rd teams and ST players and making them go for it on 4th down was encouraging. Nitpicks: Baker getting burned on that TD like that was not as encouraging. Gordon not holding onto the ball for a big possession type wr is probably the worst thing on the O and it didn't cost us really. That game could have easily been 40-3 and I'm not sure we were even trying much in the 2nd half. That is scary. What a turn around for this entire team. We are battle tested and ready for a long playoff run. Now just need to get there as healthy as possible! Go Chiefs!
  14. I think GB could make a case. TB gonna have a harder time with Godwin out for the year.
  15. Look, I still don’t love drafting a LB there. However, he’s played great and looks to be a stud MLB for us for the next decade. I don’t think his coverage concerns were or are overblown. He has struggled in zone coverage but I think he’s gotten better and his overall game is really good. I was definitely wrong about him overall and I’m glad we have that position locked up. I also wish he got more run that he is getting, even though that is increasing. I will admit when I’m wrong and I’m wrong quite often. I love to be wrong when it means the Chiefs are better off. Im also all over the place in the game day thread. I don’t really care either. I normally don’t live anywhere near a Chiefs fan so it’s my place to let off steam. I love this board and enjoy the banter and back and forth. I’m sure I said far worse about a pick who has turned out great. It is what it is. I don’t have the energy to dig up bad takes to make an “I was right you were wrong” thread either. You were right….I’m glad you were. The Chiefs are better for it, and that’s all that matters! Go Chiefs!
  16. Glad I was wrong. But let’s not act like there wasn’t plenty of scouts with those same concerns about his coverage ability. Still not sure he’s great there but he has a knack for the ball and is a huge upgrade over Hitchens.
  17. I always found it odd this take. Mahomes dirted the ball to Mecole, airmailed a ball 20 yards over Mecoles head, and didn't pass it to him on the TD to CEH (In which he passed on Hill as well) and that translates into Patrick not trusting him? He literally tried to throw it to him twice for big plays and both times screwed up. I could maybe understand the thought that because he doesn't trust Mecole his throws were subconsciously off. I guess I could buy that. I do think Mahomes realizes that Mecole is a limited wr.
  18. Easy to not comment and then come in after a miracle finish and say I told you so. Mahomes finished that game in a way only the all time greats could but to act like he was playing well after that first drive/second drive isn’t accurate. Sure the dirt ball was obvious, but he dieter like 3 last night. Threw an int at the 4 yard line after a banged up D got the stop. Lost a fumble, threw 20 yards over Hardmans head. Missed multiple easy reads, some to Kelce. I absolutely love our qb and in no way is he a bust but to act like something isn’t off whether it’s mental or physical or both is being a blind homer. I think he is trying to work on these things mid season the way most work on things in the off-season but he seemed to have lost that swagger and mojo. It was evident after the game when he stated that Kelce had to come over and pick him up emotionally. That is different from years past. Yes this year is his worst year and thankfully his stats are still really good. That’s an overall good thing from your qb. I believe and hope that finish jumped started this O for a SB run. We are playing complimentary football and it’s starting to come together. Hope we can get that 1 seed now!
  19. yes Bolton played a great game ans I’m excited about his development so far!
