  1. An interesting article. Not sure where it goes so I'll put it here, but there's stuff related to the TOP discussion also. It's pretty long so I'll just give you the link. https://thepowerrank.com/2018/09/24/the-surprising-truth-about-passing-and-rushing-in-the-nfl/
  2. We beat them pretty convincingly. Without tyreek. They don’t have the speed defensively to match up well with us either. They are good. No doubt. But we have the ability to beat them. And anyone else.
  3. About a month ago the ravens lost two straight and barely beat the bengals and Steelers. The chiefs looked invincible. The dolphins looked historically bad and a shoe in for 1st overall draft pick. The patriots have come back to earth. Who knows what a month brings. They do look terrific but an injury or two and who knows.
  4. I'm not sure it matters if he calls three pass plays or three run plays. The rest time for the defense depends on getting first downs. Last year we were 3rd in the league in first downs per game. This year we are 8th even with Mahomes missing a lot of time.
  5. I think that's probably true. But most teams try that and most teams have failed. The teams we have struggled with have mostly beat us in shootouts.
  6. I suppose it depends on your definition of grinding. We lost to the Rams last year and lost the TOP battle. They had 76 yards rushing and 54 points on 448 yards passing. Is that grinding us out? The Chargers beat us and also beat us in TOP with 119 yards rushing and 407 yards of total offense. The Ravens on the other hand last year rushed 40 times for 194 yards, almost 5 yards a carry and we held the ball 6 minutes longer than they did while rushing for 94 yards ourselves.
  7. The Colts are not the type of team we have had trouble with in the Mahomes era. At least not a healthy Mahomes. We lost 5 games last year by an average score of 40 to 36. Teams that try to grind it out just don't score enough points to keep up.
  8. True. They are who we (being me and those who also think they suck) thought they were. And they are nothing like the people who don't think they suck think they are. I won't name names.
  9. Fan babes are never wasting their time. It might look like it sometimes, but they are doing their job.
  10. Just do what I do to my Broncos fan friends. Beat the crap out of him and tell him the broncos suck.
  11. I don't think any game Oakland drops would be that unexpected. Maybe the Jets. But everyone else on that schedule could beat them. Their last 4 wins have been really close games against some teams with really bad records. Denver on the road and SD on the road in particular will be challenges for them. And the Titans is no gimme for them. But we have set ourselves up for a dogfight by shitting the bed in that Titans game.
  12. And I think they knew Berry was well enough to play but he chose not to. That makes it hard for the team to call.
  13. Really should have had another strip sack to his credit on the Nnadi interception.
  14. Tomlin has been fine. I'm just saying he inherited a Super Bowl winning team and kept them there. The Steelers have had three coaches since 1969. They don't just "move on".
  15. That said, if he ever throws another screen pass to Blake Bell on 3rd and 2 at the end of a meaningful game, I will call Clark Hunt myself.
  16. To be fair though. Tampa Bay hasn't won a playoff game since. Denver hasn't either and they've gone through several more coaching changes and are a real shit show now. Green Bay moved on from Sherman after a 4-12 season. Cowher retired, they didn't move on from him. Tomlin won a Super Bowl, but they had won it a couple years prior also with Cowher. He wasn't the guy that pushed them over the edge.
  17. The concern about Oakland is their schedule. They are 1-4 against teams with winning records. An early win against the Colts. They have a bunch of close wins against 3 win teams that could have gone either way. I don't think they are for real, but they have a lot of poor teams coming up. I don't see them beating us or the Chargers, and I think they'll drop at least one of the other games.
  18. We each have 7 games left. Assuming we beat the Raiders in Arrowhead, we effectively have a 3 game lead in the division since we would own the tie breaker. That would mean they need to make up 3 games in the remaining 6. I just don't see it happening but our schedule is much tougher going forward than theirs for sure.
