  1. I realize there's more variables than just the change of quarterbacks. But Moore has already been sacked as many times as Mahomes. And we've overall lost the time of possession in Moore's two starts. Ultimately what controls the clock is first downs and we do that a lot with Mahomes. It's the 3 and outs that kill. The other component of controlling the clock is the defense figuring out how to get a stop once in a while. And they are starting to do that. I agree you can't throw hail Mary's every down, but I think for two years of Mahomes, they've done a really good job of taking shots when they are there and also working the short and intermediate passing game. I would hate for them to change their game plan based on what they have had to do for Matt Moore.
  2. I've been seeing that a lot lately. We dinked and dunked for years and everybody bitched about it. We finally get what is arguably the best offense in the league and people want us to dink and dunk again. I don't get it.
  3. I don't know enough about his current situation. Is he hurt or something? Why is he available at this point in the season?
  4. We would not lose to Mexico. All the good athletes have swam or ran to the U.S.
  5. It's been a tough year. Always seem to be missing such key players. Watkins, Hill, Jones, Clark, Fuller, Mahomes, half the offensive line.I think we are still likely a 1 or 2 seed assuming we get healthy. And I think we are pretty dangerous in a 2 game playoff for a Super Bowl berth. I would not want to play against a completely healthy Chiefs team in the playoffs. The Ravens schedule gets pretty ugly for a while now with games against the 49ers, Texans, Rams and Bills. And I think the Pats could lose a few more. Their schedule has been criminal. Really the credibility of the league is questionable when that division sucks so bad for so long. The defense has played against 6 of the top 12 offenses and really been near middle of the pack. And they seem to be getting better. I'm really starting to be impressed with Spags, and I did not expect to be. The mindset of the defense has changed. We no longer just lay there making victim noises while people rape us. Overall it seems like we are still a year away because of the injuries, but I am excited to see how it plays out. I never feel out of it if Mahomes is healthy along with Hill, Watkins and Kelce.
  6. Ravens won and it wasn't as close as the final score. IMO. They punched them in the mouth.
  7. Certainly you are more likely to drop it if you carry it like that than as you’re supposed to.
  8. I'm not sure if he even got hit. Certainly not behind the LOS. Sometimes fumbles are just because of a big hit. This one is on McCoy and his style. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000001070680/LeSean-McCoy-gifts-Packers-a-fumble
  9. I'll play devil's advocate. It was ridiculously good game management and game planning that gave us any chance of winning that game with an ex high school football coach at QB. Two poor decisions with good coverage an unbelievable catches were the difference in the game. And I will never believe that the last touchdown was not intended to be thrown away. I probably would not have punted, but pinning them on their 2 yard line was decent enough strategy. At some point they had to make a stop. Even if we don't punt and score a touchdown, the game is tied and Rodgers has the ball for the win.
  10. If Moore plays really well we could have a QB controversy on our hands, the likes of which we haven't seen since Grbac/Gannon.
  11. Agreed. The stop on the extra point, the fake punt sack, and the big return were all big plays.
  12. I'm sure when Drew Brees went down, Saints fans didn't expect to be 5-1. And Colts fans didn't expect to go 3-2 without Luck.
  13. We are fortunate that the Chargers are shitting the bed. That gives us some wiggle room.
  14. Am I the only one that wants to see Sherman play a series at QB?
  15. I think losing Hill may have more of an effect than we realize. All the jet sweep action and double teams he commands changes the dynamics of a defense.
  16. Every time I think we may have something it turns out to be a complete shit show. I was really excited when we picked up Ben Grubbs. Then LDT seemed like the shit. Asamoah I liked.
  17. They traded the 167th pick of the draft to move up a couple places for Hardman. Pretty much a 6th round pick given our draft slot. If they hadn't, they would have used the 167th pick of the draft for someone not on the roster probably and if they were on the roster, everyone here would complain about how bad they are. As it happens, the Rams traded that pick to the Patriots who then traded it to the Eagles, who drafted a no name quarterback that they traded to the Cowboys, who then put him on their practice squad. So when we say we traded up, I think some context is important. When we traded up for Mahomes, we spent some real draft capital. Not so much on these other guys.
  18. He was tied for 7th in the NFL last year in sacks. He's been pretty consistently around 10 sacks per year. Last year was Dee Ford's highest sack total ever and he tied Frank Clark. I'm not sure what the problem has been this year, but he's historically been a really good pass rusher.
  19. Getting Watkins and Hill back does more than just add competent wide receivers. It also allows you to keep tight ends and backs in pass protection,.
  20. And what if he's a young GM with a lot of upside and promise that they like? What if he has a great relationship with Andy and they are happy and Reid likes him? We are gonna fire him because Fisher, Hill and Watkins got hurt and a complete rebuild of the defense, including scheme change and coordinator change, is still a work in progress after 5 games? Because the running game has been hurt by Hunt punching some lady? Or are we mad because he traded up 5 spots to get Hardman when Hill was potentially in trouble and Watkins was injured. Where would we have been Sunday without Hardman? This team is one of the very best in the NFL.
  21. The 2017 Chiefs lost 6 out of 7 games in the middle of the season. Think about that.
  22. I think it's fairly clear that we have stepped it up a notch since the 10-6 2017 Chiefs and Bob Sutton loss to the Titans.
  23. It must truly suck to be Veach/Reid. You go on a 16-4 run with one of the most dominant offenses in the history of the game. You get within a coin toss of the first Super Bowl appearance in 50 years. Then you lose one freak, injury filled regular season game and people start asking for your job and telling you what you are doing wrong on offense.
