  1. A big part of it was the Bills inability to do anything offensively. If they had put a couple of TDs on the board they might have been able to force Mac Jones to be more a part of the game, but they just could not finish drives. The missed FG was huge.
  2. I'm just saying run it down their throats implies continued ability to successfully run the ball. I wouldn't say the patriots have been able to do that. They busted one. Otherwise they have done not much. And 180 yards of rushing is good. But not 180 yards of total offense.
  3. They have 6 1st downs. If that's running it down their throats then count me out for a run it down the throat offense. They busted one. Otherwise it's been terrible.
  4. Take out the 1 big run and they have 90 yards of offense and 3 points.
  5. I think a tie would be good for us if we win out. The best they could do is 12-4-1 and we would be 13-4 if we win out.
  6. I just like having the AFCGG go through GEHA Field. Always. I think it is good for the team, good for the city, and it raises awareness of government employee health insurance.
  7. I just hope they split. That gives them both 5 losses. I can't see the Ravens winning out. The Titans have a fairly easy finish, but no Henry and lost 2 in a row.
  8. I don't see that happening. The Bills are too good defensively. And at home in a prime time game. I think they win this one sort of handily.
  9. They play each other again. I'm thinking we want them to split? They each have another tough game on the schedule, Bucs for the Bills and Colts for the Patriots. I can't root for the Patriots because of a medical condition I have, but I am able to support you guys rooting for them if it helps the Chiefs. Starting to feel like winning out gives us a pretty good chance at the #1 seed.
  10. You can give up on football and still be a Broncos fan.
  11. A moderately successful run also gives us the first down. I'm not lobbying for running it, I'm just saying that keeping the clock running is more likely with a run than with a pass. And the clock was still in play.
  12. I think there is more to the debate on run vs pass than the fumble. I don't pretend to know all of the huge amounts of math that go into it, but statistically they tell you to pass in most situations. Things that we are not thinking about, such as defensive penalties are much more common on pass plays and offensive penalties are much more common on running plays. I'm not against running the ball 3 times there and kicking the field goal, but that doesn't mean it is statistically the thing to do. Probably the biggest benefit to run vs pass in that situation is making sure the clock is running. We had a pretty high win probability either way and it was just some bad luck. A game of inches as they say.
  13. I did an honest game by game playoff machine and picked them how I really feel they should go. There's a big logjam and it doesn't take that much to kick anyone out, including the Ravens. I ended up with: 1. Chiefs 13-4 2. Titans 12-5 (I'm not sure I believe that, but their schedule is pretty soft the rest of the way) 3. Bills 12-5 4. Ravens 11-6 5. Colts 10-7 6. Pats 10-7 7. Chargers 10-7
  14. That's true. And it's partly true because they are targeted a lot and have more opportunities for drops. But those two have been unusually dropsy.
  15. I think everyone outside of Boston and Tampa would decline to watch a Bucs Pats Super Bowl. I can think of nothing worse. I'd rather have: That's how bad Bucs/Pats would be.
  16. Like I said, nothing too serious. But I'm guessing most teams would prefer their head coach not have been arrested 5 times.
  17. Colorado. Playing and coaching. Nothing too crazy: Legal issues[edit] As a player at Colorado, Bieniemy was arrested along with a teammate following a February 1988 bar fight.[11] He pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and fighting in public, and was sentenced to community service.[11] He also received discipline from head coach Bill McCartney.[11] On July 4, 1990, Bieniemy pleaded no contest to interfering with a firefighter who had been performing his duties to extinguish a fire in Bieniemy's mother's garage.[12] Bieniemy received an eight-month suspended sentence[13] and was suspended for one game.[14] Bieniemy was instructed to do 40 hours of community service and attend an eight-hour firefighting training session.[12] An assistant city attorney said Bieniemy failed to attend the firefighting training session as stipulated in the plea agreement, but Bieniemy asserted the session was optional.[12] In 1989, Bieniemy was ticketed in Westminster, Colorado for driving a defective vehicle, and in Aurora, Colorado for speeding. In October 1990, Bieniemy's license was suspended for a year after another traffic violation. On March 21, 1991, Bieniemy was caught speeding and driving with suspended license on I-70 near Rifle, Colorado, going 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. On April 17, 1991, Bieniemy failed to appear in court on charges relating to the March 21 incident. A bench warrant was issued in Colorado for his arrest on April 23, 1991, two days after he was drafted in the 1991 NFL Draft.[12] On September 27, 1993, Bieniemy was arrested in Boulder, Colorado, for allegedly harassing a female parking attendant. According to the police report, while with his friends, Bieniemy put his hand on the attendant's neck, startling her. She told police he also made a comment about "a bunch of black males all at once being her worst nightmare,"[13] and that Bieniemy and his friends took off their pants and began urinating nearby. Bieniemy was also named in an outstanding warrant on a charge of driving with a suspended license. As a result of this incident, Bieniemy was banned from the University of Colorado Boulder campus for one year.[6][15] In April 2001, Bieniemy was arrested for driving under the influence and was docked a month's pay.[16]
