  1. Fins get #12 and #102 this year. Along with 2022 1st rounder and 2023 1st rounder.
  2. Statistically, the best defenses dj played on were under sutton. He played through the prime of his career pre sutton and his best defense was 11th. But mostly they pretty bad.
  3. I'm not gonna take the time to research 15 years of Chiefs defensive stats, but my recollection is that he was a good enough player that presided over mostly truly awful team defenses. In my mind, he never approached elite, especially given your definition of elite to include prime Watt, Donald and DT. But I support the notion that this is a subjective thing and I agree that DJ was a great Chief for a long time. I just think he was not as elite as Jones has been.
  4. Apologies. I didn't realize we had discussed Sammy Watkins as your backup quarterback.
  5. For clarification...If we don't make 3 super bowls in a row, you are going to start complaining?
  6. Do you know if they are thinking he is the backup quarterback? or are they keeping him at wide receiver.
  7. Imagine if the right side of our line was Long Schwartz.
  8. It was 29 rounds, but a lot of the guys picked went to the NFL. We drafted Roger Staubach and Gale Sayers for petes sake. So a 7th round AFL pick was way down the food chain.
  9. Plus electric and gas deposits, daycare, student loans. It can be pretty overwhelming. He is working two jobs now with the State Farm ads.
  10. I suppose one might argue a 7th round Bobby Bell was pretty ok also.
  11. Yeah, the Steelers kicked the Big Ben can down the road as far as they could and now they are screwed. Sooner or later you gotta face the reaper. But with the unusual cap this year, this is probably a good time to play this card.
  12. I agree with everything you said. And I have documented it in the above post.
  13. Technically field goals are a big part of college overtime. I've never really considered special teams to be 1/3 of the game. How many plays would they account for in a 10 minute overtime? 2 or 3? The part I don't like about the college system is how big of an advantage the 2nd team with the ball has. Overall, I probably prefer the current NFL system to anything that's out there, but I see the appeal of the college system and get why some would like it.
