  1. It seems like they should have scheduled everyone's bye on the same week so they could have played makeup games that week for games affected by COVID.
  2. In 2018 he had touchdowns of 37, 67, 73, 75 and 58 yards receiving. Plus a 91 yard punt return. Last year, over half of his receiving touchdowns were over 40 yards. This year, while piling up some big total numbers, he has "quietly" scored 6 touchdowns of 10 yards or less. His yards per catch is the lowest it's been since his rookie year with Alex Smith. He hasn't been as involved in the return game. He's piling up big numbers in a more efficient way than we are used to from Tyreek. It's not quiet by Dwayne Bowe standards, but it's quieter than normal for Tyreek. The Raiders game is a good example of what I'm talking about. 11 receptions for 102 yards and 1 TD. He made some huge catches that really made the difference in the game and was very efficient, but his longest reception was 15 yards. Quiet was certainly not meant to be a complaint. He is showing that he is more than just a deep post guy.
  3. Adam had a rib removed with no anesthesia and you don't see him spending the whole book of Genesis complaining about it. Man up guys.
  4. Is quietly putting together a season. On pace for 89 1200 16.
  5. You mean like reaching for a first down when hes two yards past the sticks?
  6. The chargers have beat us once since 2013. A 1 point win. And we have mostly owmed carr also. Brady gives every team trouble.
  7. Drew Brees with 11 broken ribs? Did that game just get easier? Or more difficult.
  8. Hard to judge Veach's drafts. We burned a lot of early draft capital on Mahomes and Clark and generally draft pretty late in rounds anyway. CEH and Speaks are his only picks earlier than 56th overall, so how are you gonna really judge his day 1 picks?
  9. I'm not saying that you absolutely run the ball there. But I think it's pretty hard to call it a mistake.
  10. I don't think an incompletion is "worst case" scenario. It happens 1/3 of the time. It's a fairly common phenomena compared to fumbling a handoff. And bleeding clock is absolutely not irrelevant in that situation. 40 seconds is huge at the end of a half and could absolutely be the difference between a field goal attempt and a touchdown. Whether you pass or run, your chances of converting 2nd and 25 are poor. You have to balance field position, clock, space for the expected punt and also attempt to get the first down.
  11. All true. But an incomplete pass stops the clock, gains nothing and puts you in a 3rd and 25 from your own 10. I don't think putting the ball in Pat's hands is wrong, but I can't really criticize running the ball once in that situation either.
  12. I wouldn't say that running the ball 2nd and 25 on your own 10 yard line is wrong or inefficient. Especially after the defense just got off the field after a 7 minute drive. I would agree with you that if we were on our own 40, you take a couple shots. And I wouldn't have been mad if they threw a couple times, but that doesn't mean it was wrong to create some space and run some clock in that situation.
  13. I'd rather have Ty Law in his prime than Revis. Marcus Allen in his prime would be nice also. Or Lanier or Bell. Or Jared Allen. Priest would be insane.
  14. Very fortunate that he got it out of his system in training camp a couple years ago.
  15. I don't think we need to be "afraid" of anyone. But they are 9-0. And while they haven't beat the 85 Bears, we haven't either. We had an OT game with the Chargers and were lucky to hold on against the Panthers. That and a home loss to the Raiders. They have a future hall of fame quarterback that has won it all and a coach that has won it all. Yes we won it all with Pat and he's obviously great. But we won't win the Super Bowl every year of his career. The Steelers are capable of beating us and we are capable of beating them. A first round bye is huge for whoever gets it. But even without it, we can win obviously. The old Chiefs mentality was hoping to win a playoff game, not whether we can win the AFCCG.
  16. Fair enough. But I was replying to someone that said their wins aren't impressive and our wins last year don't really have anything to do with the Steelers strength of wins this year. They have won 9 games and their 9 wins are pretty much the same as our 8 wins. That doesn't mean we aren't the better team, but 9-0 is 9-0.
  17. We have 3 common wins. Our other wins are the Patriots , Chargers, Jets, Panthers and Bills. Not sure our wins are any more impressive than theirs. And we lost to the flipping Raiders. I'm not scared of them, but 9-0 is 9-0.
  18. We scored a late touchdown and had a penalty on the 2 point conversion that would have tied it.
