  1. Let's reel it in guys. Nobody would wrong. Everyone would right.
  2. That's why I'm here. To spread knowledge and joy. Many people compare me to Gandhi. Except with guns.
  3. He tested positive the day after the game. You don't test positive for at least 3 days after exposure. It's 100 percent he didn't get it at the game. The question is whether he exposed anyone at the game. That's why they contacted people that were close to him.
  4. If you are suggesting that a fan base that had Tyler Thigpen as a quarterback was glad to see Matt Cassel, then sure. That's probably true. Sort of like in the movie 127 hours when the guy was glad to see a mud puddle after cutting off his arm. I doubt he saw it as the drink of the future. It was a huge upgrade for us and within 2 years we went from 2-14 to winning the division. But I don't think anyone confused Matt Cassel with Peyton Manning.
  5. Ouch. Conversely: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1468486-andy-reid-chiefs-newly-hired-coach-not-the-right-fit-in-kansas-city and related: https://arrowheadaddict.com/2018/01/08/andy-reid-must-go-head-coach-chiefs-now/
  6. That's some next level Nostradamus shit. Props for going against the tidal wave of Chiefs fans that were excited about Cassel and Croyle. That took guts and conviction.
  7. I remember Geoff Schwartz tweeted a video of Mitch doing something really similar to JJ last year with a fake punch.
  8. We don't really know anything about it. Gay might have a minor injury. He might be in the doghouse for showing up late to a meeting and Spags is trying to make him a professional. It's one game. And we gave up 7 points through 3 quarters to a quarterback that is supposed to be elite.
  9. I was watching a game- I think last night's Broncos. The home team lost a challenge and they booed a little on the crowd noise thingie. I didn't expect that.
  10. Two possibilities. 1. Spags is homophobic. This is a very real possibility since there are no other gays on the defense. Something to keep an eye on frankly. 2. Spags has information that we do not. Perhaps he's not as good as we think. Perhaps he's not catching on to the scheme yet. With no preseason games maybe he's just not there yet. Not that crazy for a rookie to not play the first game of the season.
  11. I never really understand where that comes from. Mahomes came back earlier than expected. Clark, Jones, Tyreek, Watkins, Hitchens--a bunch of players have injuries throughout the year that make them questionable for a while. Most of them come back in a normal time frame and nobody knows for sure what that time frame is. But no matter who gets hurt everybody's like: WHAT ABOUT ERIC BERRY?!!?!?!???!?? That's what he said about Eric Berry!!!! What the fuck is he supposed to say about Eric Berry? He's fine and doesn't want to play?
  12. Maybe not as bad as we thought? https://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/article245722830.html
  13. Reminds me of 2012 when Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn were slinging it around to McCluster and Moeaki with Baldwin and Bowe on the outside. And Romeo Crennel drawing up all those crazy plays. We only got held to single digits scoring 6 times that year.
  14. I'm sure it matters. Just probably not as much as we want it to or think it does. But a false start can be the difference between 3rd and 1 and 3rd and 6. And that does happen occasionally due to communication problems. And burning a timeout that you don't want to affects the game. And it's hard to say how much a little extra excitement affects our defenders. Especially when they are tired. Adrenaline is not a bad thing. Last year we gave up 6.9 YPA passing on the road to 6.4 at home. In 2018 through 2015 the difference has been consistent. 2018--8.1 to 6.7 2017--7.5 to 6.6 2016--8.1 to 5.9 2015--7.0 to 6.0 That can't all be attributed to travel fatigue IMO.
  15. I think it's still probably loud enough to make a difference but offenses have adjusted with hand signals and silent counts. They hadn't had to deal with it prior to the 1980's/90s.
