  1. True. But nobody here thought run defense was overrated after that game. Or the Colts game. Or the Texans game. It's not as important as pass defense, but it's still a thing. And we went on our run once we got a grip on stopping the run.
  2. Except for earlier in the year when they did run wild on us and beat us. At which point it was not overrated. Or when they ran over the Patriots and Ravens and made it to the AFCCG. I'd rather have Mahomes for sure, but we saw what the 49ers and Titans did with devastating running games in the playoffs.
  3. I never said it was better. Just that you can cherry pick stats to make it look like being poor at running the ball increases your chances of making the playoffs. However, upon further review, I'm not even sure that the stats MLoe said were true. YPA Rushing 1. Ravens 2. Titans 8. 49ers 9. Seahawks 10. Texans 11. Vikings 13. Packers 14. Bills. That's 8 of the top 14 YPA teams in the playoffs. And the bottom 6 in YPA were the Bucs, Rams, Steelers, Bears, Dolphins and Jets none of which made the playoffs.
  4. It's kind of cherry picking the stats a little. Team rushing leaders 1. Ravens 2. 49ers 3. Titans 4. Seahawks 6. Vikings 8. Bills 9. Texans 11. Eagles all made the playoffs. That's 8 out of the top 12 rushing teams making it. The Packers were 15 and the Saints 16. The only 2 teams in the bottom half of yards rushing were the Chiefs and Patriots. I'm not saying running is more important than passing, because it isn't, but using per attempt as the only stat is really not accurately catching how important it is.
  5. We haven't changed that much personnel wise and we finished strong. I would think 10-15 is a reasonable guess. Maybe better. I'd be disappointed with worse than 15.
  6. This really pisses Xen off: There was a guy on my football team that had a really big dick.
  7. Every morning I wake up and PM2 has said something like It's a real letdown.
  8. I've never told anyone this, but when I was a kid the devil lived in our basement. I'm pretty sure. He was very noisy but never really hurt us as long as we stayed upstairs.
  9. I guess I'm saying that I believe that they didn't really care about each other or like each other that much. And the concept of team 1st and us against the world didn't exist.
  10. I think part of it is the change in coordinators. Sutton had some talented guys--Ford, Peters, Houston, Berry, DJ for example--But they never seemed to act like or play like a cohesive unit. And they didn't seem to have a team first approach. And I think some of that came from the top. Spags seems to have a better ability to get these guys on the same page.
  11. Having seen both guys, it seems like football is a career for Ford and a passion for Clark.
  12. I guess that's possible, but the weather would be brutal at the end of the regular season for some stadiums.
  13. I can't help but be reminded of the Grbac/Gannon thing.
  14. That was supposed to start in 2021 I think.
  15. At first releasing Kyle was a real head scratcher, but it looks like they were going with pat all along. Probably because of the shortened offseason and wanting continuity. He’s familiar with the offense and has super bowl experience.
  16. Why doesn't he have a license? Does he have some prior DUI or something? I agree some of the charges are not serious, but to hop in a car with no license, an open container and some weed is stupid AF.
  17. Early in his career it seems like a lot of his punts were muffed. It was claimed that the left foot punting was spinning the ball the opposite way that returners were used to. I don't know if that's true and, if it was, they seem to have figured it out. Regardless, we can get a sufficient punter for this team for much less money. Great chief and I wish him well.
