  1. How are you gonna trade Sammy Watkins and his 21 million dollar one year contract?
  2. I was only comparing him to the good quarterbacks. I didn't figure anyone cared if he was tied with Mark Rypien and Joe Flacco.
  3. Frank Clark is becoming one of my favorite Chiefs. http://fox4kc.com/2020/02/09/chiefs-defensive-end-frank-clark-signs-autographs-in-leawood/
  4. I can dig it. I'm on your team with this. I was pointing out that in two years we have one loss to a non playoff team. It's the closest thing we have to a "bad" loss (although the Titans loss seemed like a bad loss at the time also) and nothing at all comparable to the Pats and their perfect coach losing a must win at home to the Dolphins. We just been complete professionals week in and week out. There's been really no games where we just phoned it in. I think that's the leadership of Pat (and also Alex) combined with Andy's steady hand on the wheel.
  5. Well I put bad in "quotations". Hill was out and so was Sammy. Pat was hobbled. Still, for the team it was a home loss to a 7-9 team. It's the closest thing to a bad loss we've had with Pat.
  6. Really the only "bad" loss of Pat's career is the Colts game this year. Every other loss was to a playoff team. I think you also have to give some credit to Andy. They didn't really have too many "bad" losses where the team just lost focus against a bad team or got blown out by a good team even with Alex. They are very professional in their approach every week. It's reflected in the 4 straight division titles and the dominance of the division games for so long. Most teams shit the bed at some point throughout the season. Patriots/Dolphins for example. 49ers/Falcons. We just don't do that very often.
  7. I think we get more rings also. But just maybe not next year. I think we are in a position currently where we are maybe 30% each year to win it? Maybe 40% each year to make it? We are set up for long term success better than anyone right now.
  8. Gotcha. And that's an interesting question. I personally think the experience gained by the coaches and players would outweigh the intensity factor, but hunger is a good thing also.
  9. I don't think it has any affect on the probability. The probability for this year was low and it remains low for next year. Not because we are better or worse, but there are about 5 teams that realistically could win every year. That gives even the best teams a 1 in 5 chance. Think of all the things that went right for us this year. The Dolphins win, the Titans beating the Ravens and Patriots. Skillful but also fortunate comebacks in 3 straight games. Barring injury we should be one of the favorites, but even the favorites have a much less than 50 percent chance. We will get to about a coin toss once we get to Tampa. And we are about three coin tosses from getting to Tampa. I think that's where the idea of the curses has come from. We think because we have the best team, we are going to the Super Bowl and if we don't there's something there. That said, we most likely have a kick ass team coming back and the AFC is losing guys like Brady, Big Ben and Rivers. Seems like we have a legitimate chance to repeat.
  10. I don't read what you simpletons post. I just read the thread title and then spew out genius level shit.
  11. It also seems to me that punter is less important to us than it was a few years ago. We don't have the three and outs that we used to have and we aren't so reliant on field position games. His first 13 seasons he averaged 79 punts per season. The past two seasons he averages 46. It's just not something we should overpay for at this point in our lives.
  12. Interesting side note. Dustin Colquitt made $52,083 per punt this year. That's a pretty good gig.
  13. New strategy I think from now on. Get behind fast.
  14. Bart Starr. Roger staubach. Johnny Unitas. Tarkenton. Bradshaw. Jergenson. Griese. Namath.
  15. He won 3 if you count his days as a backup to Montana. He only went to one as a starter.
  16. Is it just my imagination or is he much more deliberate getting rid of the ball? That blocked punt against the Texans seemed to take forever.
  17. It won't take long for me to have Pat overtake him. Len is a franchise icon no doubt, but he had a lot of success with some marginal quarterback play, one of the best defenses ever, and diminished competition.
  18. In Super Bowl Wins Steve Young, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ken Stabler, Len Dawson, Brett Favre, Joe Theismann, Kurt Warner, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Nameth. I didn't count Brad Johnson and Joe Flacco types. Just the notables.
  19. We were down two scores. And then won by two scores.
  20. I like Sherman. And yes he did his job. But seems like you could put Blake Bell or whatever back up tight end we end up with and use them like an H Back on downs when you really feel like you need a lead blocker.
  21. I'm not convinced we need a traditional fullback at all.
