  1. That is for sure. But in this case, the Ravens had 7 drives of 10 or more plays and 60 yards. (well one was 59). You can't really hang your hat on that if you are the Titans defense.
  2. I don't like either one of them, but the Titans could not stop them. To their credit, they forced some turnovers. But the Ravens offense gashed them.
  3. Right now they are calling for 24 degrees and no precipitation. Light winds.
  4. The Ravens had 550 yards of offense, nearly 200 yards rushing and 29 first downs. They didn't hold them, the Ravens shot themselves in the foot with some bad turnovers and some poor decisions.
  5. Then you have the best tight end in the game underneath.
  6. I think we can all learn an important lesson from Harry Potter. Everyone was scared to talk about Voldemort. Except for the guy who kicked his ass repeatedly, he had no fear about curses and saying the name.
  7. Get your ass in there. We deserve to enjoy this. Worrying about losing has been self fulfilling. That's how the team was coached, that's how Alex Smith played. I'm ready for that shit to be over.
  8. Yeah, we've had a lot of success worrying about curses. I'm guessing that's what the Patriots did better than we have, warding off message board curses.
  9. The Patriots didn't have any success until they did. Tom Brady. Same with the Saints. Drew Brees Same with the Broncos. John Elway, Peyton Manning Same with the 49ers. Joe Montana Cowboys. Roger Staubach. It's not some kind of elaborate voodoo thing or history cursing the Chiefs. It's not having quarterbacks that can get you there. And now we do. And eventually, most likely 5 days from now, we are going to be a Super Bowl team.
  10. It’s still stupid to boo a playoff team in the first quarter cowboy.
  11. Yes. We have the right to boo the team in the first quarter. Call frank clark and honey badger failed signings after 4 games. Call for veach to be fired early in the season. We can bitch about the draft after 1 game. Call game over in the game day thread every time the other team takes the lead. It being our right doesn’t make it not stupid. And that was evidenced last night.
  12. And even if the fake punt was successful you still have a long field.
  13. When you are being aggressive you also have to weigh risk vs reward. Going for the first down on our 10 yard line had high upside and if you don’t make it you still give us a 90 yard field. On the contrary the downside of the fake punt was to make it a 1 score game basically. He absolutely turtled when the numbers said go for it in our territory. The fact that it’s hindsight doesn’t mean it’s not a mistake. Frankly every coaching decision is a hindsight question. And every draft pick. And coaching hire. It doesn’t mean mistakes weren’t made in the decision process.
  14. I think he made two critical mistakes. The first was not going for it on 4th and inches with a chance to go up 28-0. The field goal seemed to give us a reprieve. Then the fake punt. He was aggressive the wrong 4rh down play.
  15. I live 4.5 hours from the stadium. With work and school on Monday mornings, sometimes it doesn't make sense to stay til the end of the game and add 2 hours to your travel depending on your situation. I left yesterday with the game clearly in hand with a little less than 5 minutes to go and got home around midnight. If I watched the last 5 minutes it literally might have been 2 AM.
  16. We were down 21-0 very early on. I'm a season ticket holder and have been for a long time and turning on the team in the first quarter seems dumb to me.
  17. That's the team dropping them. Kelce, Hill, Robinson with a couple. I understand you're frustrated, but booing the 4 time division champs in the first quarter of a playoff game seemed a little stupid.
  18. Some people go to the parking lot just for the tailgating without tickets to the game. They used to stay in the parking lot and either listen on the radio or watch TV. Now they are required to leave. It's not impossible that some of the traffic were those kinds, although I'm sure some people were ready to call it a game. We have them in the game day threads here.
  19. If people left early, it was a very small percentage. I'm sure they feel stupid, but there weren't many. What was surprising was how early people started booing the team.
  20. Smith and McKenzie were 6th round picks. You can't really call them misses. Overall not an eyepopping draft, but we didn't have a lot of draft capital due to the Mahiomes trade up. Speaks could still be something. None the less, Veach's overall body of work has been nothing less than outstanding.
