  1. I think #32 is the best pick to draft a development QB who isn't solid enough already for a 1st round pick. That extra year is way too valuable in such scenarios and I wouldn't be surprised if the #32 or #31 pick gets that treatment going forward.
  2. Ward is already in town and Fenton will be here for a while. Not sure what Fuller's market is but he should be easier to keep if we want to go that route. Breeland is definitely leaving for a big deal, too bad he might not bring in a 3rd with all the QBs in FA.
  3. 33rd is cheaper but 32nd has a 5th year option. I think 32nd is the best pick to trade down as some teams will value that 5th year and will give up a decent mid round pick only to move up a spot or two which should help us with so many critical positions to fill. In terms of the talent it's basically same guys with the position decided based on the team need.
  4. Definitely. It's all about drafting now. We need to protect Mahomes and keep drafting efficient guys to repeat the SB success.
  5. We started with a washed up RB and a lot of youngsters on defense with a cap space of around 20 million. I don't think it constitutes "all in". I believe Chiefs were ready to go all in for 2020 with 2019 being the defensive rebuild year.
  6. A ring is very helpful for post-retirement jobs in the media but did Norman make enough to ignore the paycheck yet?
  7. Pats or Texans that's basically a given but I think Texans might have the edge as NFL will want young QBs battling it out for a spectacle.
  8. Obviously the final scheduling, especially the Thursday games, will be the most important deciding factor but overall I love the competition. Playing both Saints (indoors shootout) and Ravens on the road will be a great test for the SB run, might have to add Bills to that group if they keep up this year's form. 14-2 is very likely IMO.
  9. So we open up holes at DT and Mahomes' blind side to draft a DE to add to the mix of Clark, Okafor, Kpass, Speaks, (Ogbah). Trading away both frees a lot of cap space but I doubt Veach would consider it unless there's a better DT he's high on or a generational LT available for us to pick at #2. He might look to keep trading down to get more picks but that's a whole other scenario.
  10. Looks like he's on a mission to get us a 3rd in 2021. Considering the guys we have to resign on the roster I think 2021 will be very productive in terms of comp. picks unless they decide to bring in a stud FA OL or DB.
  11. Are you sure Erving is 27, he plays more like 40?
  12. Any WR and possibly TE on the roster will be getting an invite to practice with Mahomes this year similar to the WR group last season.
  13. Comparing Watkins with Pennel probably makes much more sense than comparisons with Jones. A stud DT of Jones' caliber is a lot more valuable than any WR, including Hill. Watkins hasn't earned his paycheck but realistically he hasn't even earned half of it either. Played great against Tennessee and also 49ers but we will very likely be able to replace Watkins' production with a cheap WR as long as Mahomes has that guy over for camp.
  14. If the Lions are up for it I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Perfect spot for a QB so that pick would bring in at least another early 2nd. We would be in a position to find up to 4 starters in the draft which should fix the OL and DB at the very least.
  15. I think he coaches throughout his current contract but not sure if he finishes another one. Health is always the key and spending so much time on work is probably an issue going forward especially with his weight. I think he retires with at least 3 SBs which should cement him in a decent spot for the future generations and could go for more depending on how well the contracts are managed.
  16. As Reid mentioned Mahomes will just get better, hence we will keep having a great offense with less playmakers as long as Mahomes is upright. Defense is definitely a bigger priority right now as opposed to offensive playmakers so IMO a guy like Breeland is much more valuable than Watkins.
  17. Always thought Spags was a major upgrade to Sutton, even the switch to his scheme would be a boost but I wasn't sure if the upgrade would be enough to win the big one. Right now I believe Spags is the best defensive coach we have seen in KC for a long time.
  18. I doubt any team will trade for Williams. He got to a point where he would be a decent FA pickup but definitely not the guy to carry a team as the featured back throughout the season. If some GM is dumb enough to give up a decent pick then we definitely trade Williams and let him earn big bucks elsewhere as he won't do that here. This regime has been great with RBs from day one and I'm sure they will get Thompson to a decent level by TC or find a no-name guy to turn into a productive back soon.
  19. He needs to make up somewhere. In all seriousness I've only seen a few legendary QBs this fired up and getting others hyped in such clutch situations.
  20. His voice is definitely much better in the video than the interviews. It was weird at first but I got used to it as well. There's a very good chance that he only called one woman "baby" in his life, cut him some slack
  21. Watched it 3 times already (no skipping), still as much fun as the game itself. Great editing and Mahomes just sounds awesome even with that terrible voice.
  22. It's obvious that Mahomes is very low priority among contract talks. Jones and Watkins are critical within the next month and we have a bunch of FAs that would be wise to resign. Mahomes likely gets his new deal during the summer, even if they agree on the terms sooner as cap will be stabilized by then.
  23. Awesome play, Mahomes is definitely a generational talent and might become the GOAT over time. OL was terrible during the season but much improved in the playoffs. Looks like we had some precise tailoring based on the opposition but we still have to upgrade a few spots in the offseason.
