  1. Yep, Pennel should definitely be a priority. I would consider Ogbah as well, he did pretty good until the injury but we seem to be stacked at DE so it's probably a cost-based thing. This will be a very active offseason that's for sure.
  2. That's the likely scenario. #32 is the cheapest pick to trade up for the 5th year option so if some team wants that extra security for their early 2nd guy we'll acquire an extra pick in the process. It's always possible that a stud OL or CB will be available for us that the staff likes, but in any other scenario I think we trade down and get an extra early 4th or something.
  3. I thought the article would be really simple. How we won: From HC to waterboy we kicked a$$.
  4. He looks like the kind of guy you keep around throughout his career, no way they let him go.
  5. Disclaimer for the Mahomes' girlfriend: It's not a joke as long as you are fine with it.
  6. There was one guy in scout.com board that kept mocking a RB to us in 1st even when Charles was in his prime. Had us trading up for Ameer Abdullah and other RBs, forgot his nick though. May be he became an "expert".
  7. Sky is the limit for Mahomes. It would be very interesting to see him sign for 30 mil/year as it would basically be a team-friendly deal in his case. Even though he deserves more in the current market it wouldn't surprise me to see him go for a relatively modest deal like that. Definitely needs 100% guaranteed though.
  8. At one point in his career I expect Mahomes to throw a no-look pass with his left arm only make a one-handed catch himself for a TD.
  9. Bring back Sutton to coach every first quarter, then watch us go 19-0 😎
  10. Next year isn't right away, that's why I'm saying by the end of TC. No team can be successful without a few million to operate with during the season as injuries will keep happening. Colquitt's contract is the amount that will probably give us that in 2020 while ensuring we have a punter to start the season if we can't find someone to replace him. We need to pay Jones (assuming he stays) within a month and have more than enough cap space to make it happen.
  11. Awesome video. Mahomes is the beast for sure, even got me fired up at the keyboard Love seeing Gonzo with Kelce in the end. Also Kittle sounds like a really cool and modest guy.
  12. There hasn't been anyone as good as Mahomes' last two years in the NFL history. The thing is greatness requires doing it over time. Otherwise it gets overlooked rather easily.
  13. I doubt the deal falls through for 1.5 million difference in the first year.
  14. We won't be saving any money unless there's someone to replace him, hence the approach of keeping him around until the end of TC assuming he doesn't retire on his own. If Colquitt saves us any cap it'll be just for the wiggle room during the season, we won't be cutting him to sign a guy like Jones, etc.
  15. Isn't there something like average starting position or something? Net yards is just too useless to consider.
  16. First we need to find the cheaper alternative and make sure that the cheaper alternative is up to the task. Otherwise I remember the days when we had multiple kickers to handle different roles in 90s. Besides there's the human factor in the whole thing. I think if it comes down to it the Chiefs will ask Colquitt to retire towards the beginning of the season after making sure they have the right guy to replace him.
  17. You don't just let go of your punter without the replacement ready to take over and the 1.5 million is not enough cap space to actually do anything at this point. That money is only useful as the wiggle room during the season so the Chiefs can wait to see if we have a better option at hand before letting him go assuming they are contemplating such a thing. Retirement is always another story but I don't think Colquitt retires just yet unless Chiefs decide to let him go. One more year on his contract means another go at a ring.
  18. Len will always be great, Mahomes might be the greatest but needs a decade or so to cement his status as couple years don't make great QBs in history. Over time I think Mahomes has the tools to be the GOAT in the NFL but needs to get there.
  19. I think we are all saying the same thing, just a difference of 2021 as calendar year vs the season
  20. I'm pretty sure everyone would love an Ingram-like signing at RB (low cost high reward) as it would be a huge boost but the biggest production problem on offense came from the interior OL. Upgrading there is a lot more critical to the entire offense and will boost our running game right away. It's always nice to find better RBs but it's simply a low priority right now. We could have been out of the SB race all together if Mahomes' injury lingered on.
  21. Not sure how accurate OTC is but they are generally correct so he's here until 2021. https://overthecap.com/player/damien-williams/3444/
  22. For most people FA starts much sooner so they might get really bored waiting for it. I love how we only have so little time before FA begins and the FA talk generally heats up at the end of February so only 4 weeks before the fun begins.
  23. If you ask me I would only pick 3rd rounders as our star RBs. Our last 1st rounder was Larry Johnson and we found Jamaal Charles and Kareem Hunt in 3rd. This franchise should only select RBs in 3rd
  24. Throw in the WRs that want to prove themselves on a short term deal before breaking the bank. We'll have our pick of weapons on offense.
