  1. I know it seems like a long time but 1 year passes rather quickly.
  2. Baylor loss definitely hurt but if the team can put things together a trip to the final four is very likely, meaning we'll lose to some mid-major in sweet 16. I think Mahomes' contract will be the key point this offseason but there's some other stuff to keep us entertained like the questionable guys on the roster for 2020.
  3. Cap is the #1 rule in the NFL. We can't keep everyone and even though Jones is a very critical guy for our interior pass rush we might have to let him leave. I want him to stay but with the reality of Mahomes' deal we might be better off getting a couple 1sts for Jones and try to replace him through the draft. We must sign Pennel though, he has been way too critical this year and definitely a keeper.
  4. I'm fine with Williams at RB with Thompson providing the depth. We have major needs elsewhere and looks like Williams has some promise. Besides a couple solid interior linemen will help our run game much better than a RB who's not Henry.
  5. Mahomes SB jersey for my nephew + his headband + any good t-shirts they make. I'll get the Mahomes SB jersey for myself as well and see what else comes out.
  6. Sherman is a great blocker and seems to have solid hands but we don't use him often. If we need the little cash for other positions I wouldn't mind the switch but I really like Sherman in town.
  7. There was a huge hole (bigger than his belly) in his career and now it's filled with a trophy. HOF is definitely a thing right now and could get a couple more SBs with Mahomes before retiring.
  8. Got home about an hour ago, still feeling drunk and rewatching the game. Will move on to the commentaries as I took tomorrow off
  9. I took people out partying (including a SF fan). Can't have enough fun tonight
  10. Not even sure if he'll be back playing football, the dude was contemplating a year off. If he wants to stay I don't mind keeping him for the dead money and a little contract on top of it.
  11. Still feels like a dream, too excited to do anything today. The game just can't start sooner.
  12. It's the same as retirement. All signing bonus is accelerated to the cap like dead money and the rest is simply put on hold. So we would have the 7 million cap hit for 2020 and retain the rights to Watkins when he comes back. It's also possible to negotiate a buyout and things like that.
  13. If he was getting paid something like 20 million over 3 years the performance would justify the price but right now he's not that relevant in our offense to justify his salary. Not sure about his one year sitting out thing but I guess this won't be a boring offseason.
  14. Clark started the year absolutely terrible, missing tackles and barely holding his own against any OTs. I'm not surprised he's ranked so low, in fact it's definitely expected. The surprising part is Ford's ranking being so high. He sat out whenever he was injured, which helps his stats but when healthy he was nowhere near Clark's performance. Still a one-trick pony that can't do anything against the run.
  15. I tried to but the prices are way too steep. My father is going together with my niece and I'll be watching with the usual friends, none of which are Chiefs fans, but will actually focus entirely on the game myself.
  16. We wrote off Kpass just a year ago and the same is true for Ogbah in Cleveland, Okafor was an afterthought in FA. He basically turned this group in one of the more efficient DLs in the league and we haven't seen what he can do with a guy like Speaks. Saunders and Nnadi will have another offseason under him, which will be very critical for the future.
  17. There's a a lot of ground in between extreme caution and complete disregard. We need to stay somewhere in that spectrum without overreacting.
  18. I'm with @oldtimer a simple mistake might cost us a lot and defenders will try to hit him harder if they believe he'll not get out of bounds. I loved the TD run but was scared a lot till the end.
  19. Yep, conference championships seem to be the peak of the year. Right now it's impossible to find tickets to the SB at a reasonable price and have to go through way too much non-football programming to actually watch it. Definitely not worth dedicating so much time if you are not a fan.
  20. I've seen 2 people that went to the toilet during the game so they wouldn't miss Beyonce at halftime, as if she was coming out at the whistle. NFL is trying to get as many people as they can to watch for more money but their notion of SB isn't the big game but rather a whole night of entertainment with the game making up some part of it.
  21. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of regret on his part. He could have been playing for the SB in a great offense right before his FA deal. However the video simply reiterates his stupidity which might cause him some modest millions in FA.
