  1. Jackson was a fumbling machine last year and peaked in the playoffs with 3 in a single game (together with an interception). He's far from that guy this year but could still crack under pressure and played terribly against us in both of his starts. I'm more worried about Pats to be honest and I think we could easily get through Ravens if we keep the recent defensive performance going. Ingram will be out of football for 3 weeks and even then his chances are questionable so that could be a Jackson-only game.
  2. Yep too tough of a choice. Some players actually play better if they keep a momentum going but also getting some depth guys out there is always useful. It's an easy decision with anyone that's dealing with some form of injury but too tough of a call for the rest. Meanwhile we have suffered terrible injuries in terrible times so no decision can actually be considered the right one.
  3. We have a shot at #2 (Pats lose, we win) and Houston has a shot at #3 (we lose, they win). So all teams could play starters but I'm pretty sure no questionable guys will be playing this week. The rest all depend on what the coaches think. In our case I don't mind sitting out most of the starters as we are known to suffer weird injuries this time of the year. The worst case scenario is playing Bills instead of the Titans, which doesn't really look bad IMO and Chargers aren't that strong of an opponent considering that they have nothing to play for either.
  4. Ever since the bye week we have given up a total of 31 points over 4 games. This defense is becoming a major strength at the right time of the year.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks Bills are the softest playoff team around? Sure they have a decent defense but also the they got to the playoffs through a cupcake schedule. I don't think they have any strengths that will cause us problems.
  6. We probably won't get a major upgrade at our OL this year unless a surprise cut similar to Suggs. We simply have to find the marginally better group and keep them on the field. At this point interior OL is priority #1 for the offseason and I'm sure the staff is focused on that already.
  7. Over the last two weeks we have been winning the way we should this time of the year. Even if the run game isn't as efficient the emphasis is to get it going for the future which is the way to go. Defense has been up to the task and looks like the entire group will be solid if we can keep a couple CBs in town and fix the LBs. On offense I hated the distribution though. Robinson has 2 targets while Hardman and Pringle had 0. We should have gotten them some looks in a game with little meaning at this point, it's always critical to have a solid #3 WR emerge in the playoffs as defenses can't focus on everyone.
  8. Yep play to win but the rotation should be Hardman over Watkins or Fenton over Fuller at this point.
  9. I can understand the kicks as most of the time they lose yardage. However having Hill just stand up there is good enough to take away around 10 yards from every punt as the punter will be giving up some distance to make sure Hill doesn't burn him. The fear of specific players outweigh the logic of the ST play. If Hill handles all punts in a year he probably takes 2-3 to the house but that's more than enough to scare the other team to giving up yards freely.
  10. Unless the situation calls for it there's no need to return kicks. Turnovers or stupid penalties (in our case simply penalties) are more common than a big return. Hill should be handling the punts though. We paid him big money and the defenses are restricting him quite a bit, we need to utilize him as much as possible. IMO we should get all we can out of offensive players while we can. Sitting out good returners for protection is way overrated.
  11. Titans are a worse match for us so obviously they find a way to get in but that will be a tough process for them.
  12. It was a huge game but I personally know more people that prefer noon/afternoon games as opposed to "prime time". Curious if NFL is looking into that or it could just be something with the people around me.
  13. My bad, thought it was Sunday afternoon. Nevertheless I was hoping to get out of the night game and Bills vs Pats looked like a prime target.
  14. Surprised Bills @ New England isn't bumped to SNF instead of us.
  15. Another thing to keep in mind is that Suggs already won the SB. A known commodity that lived up to the expectations of the postseason is a huge addition to the mix.
  16. I meant non-playoff from 2018 that get the nod to the playoffs this year. Sorry if it wasn't clear. We are way down in the waiver wire among playoff teams.
  17. Why not unless he starts owning the AFC like BB?
  18. I enjoyed the win in all aspects but from a neutral standpoint this was a very boring game as indicated by a friend who just wanted to watch Mahomes. Denver looks really lost and definitely not at our level at this point. May be they get better as Lock does over the next couple years but Reid simply owns the division.
  19. There are quite a bit of non-playoff teams getting the nod this year. We have no chance in the waivers but who knows, may be someone slips.
  20. BPA is simply a myth for anyone that's not in a total rebuild, position always has a role. Veach will not pick a QB if that's the best player on the board or a DE with the way we are stacked. The general approach is to draft a player in a position of need that's among the best players available around the time team is picking. If a major need is the 2nd best or 3rd best player then you don't simply ignore the need and go for #1. If the difference is more than a couple spots on the board then you simply trade down and get an extra pick.
  21. Kpass might be up for a starting role rather soon. Basically playing as his college tape has shown in 4-3.
  22. Yep, we traded for a 1st round pick in Erving and he turned out to be cr@p.
