  1. I think Thornhill is definitely the best pick by the Chiefs this year. Instant starter with solid performance for a rookie. Looks to have good upside as well. Fenton had some good plays but not a consistent starter yet, however he has been a nice surprise considering the late pick. The rest are all question marks that we have to wait and see. Overall I think we get a D in terms of the drafted players but that has been the story for this regime ever since day one. Besides Hunt & Hill starting from day one we never had multiple rookies contributing at a solid level, they seem to focus on future potential rather than short term talent, but we don't seem to be as good in long term evaluation of talent for later picks.
  2. I don't think they ever wanted to keep Morse. They were reportedly interested in Jansen the year before and didn't look like we made an attempt at resigning Morse. However I don't think they expected such a bad performance from Reiter. Resembled Fulton when he came in last year but so far he has been terrible. I don't know if the hits and the ankle injury has a major role but Mahomes doesn't look as comfortable as last year behind the line and it's definitely the biggest issue on offense right now. Fisher sure isn't an all-pro but the switch to Erving was a major downgrade as well.
  3. Unlike the previous weeks it was the DEs that failed in the run defense. I think the DT group is getting better as a unit. LBs are a major issue on their own.
  4. 3-1 is very likely but my prediction is 4-0. Pats are in terrible shape and we have started to run the ball. If we win this week I think the Bears will be another win and we won't be sleeping off the last week due to the battle for home field.
  5. Reid is like a kid who loves getting new toys and Veach is basically a nobody. They probably didn't expect Reiter to be so awful with Wylie and LDT joining him. It's not like their job is to assess these guys. Can't fix them all at once but front office messed up the priorities.
  6. Yep that's the guy. We need some mean fatties in that line.
  7. Tough to choose between 1(OG) and 5(OC). They would be my first 2 picks though. As long as Mahomes has a good pocket he can make even a cripple pro-bowl receiver and RBs need to get past the LOS before first contact.
  8. Whenever he tried to step up the pocket collapsed rather too quickly. If that Wisconsin kid lasts until our 1st I think we'll have our OC for the foreseeable future, add a LG with one of the next two picks and Mahomes will finally get a clean pocket and hopefully stay upright.
  9. Their OL looks pathetic and our front 7 is finally catching up as a unit. If we can find a way to stop the run and Edelman it should be easier than expected.
  10. Time for Sherman to play half the snaps. As long as we can run Mahomes will definitely have the chance to light them up.
  11. Though break, hope you get through it soon. There's a lot of fuzz about the the 3rd time 🤨
  12. I hope everyone had some good meals and fun time with their loved ones. Happy thanksgiving.
  13. So paying a QB after 32 TD - 22 int/fumble season with a terrible postseason performance wasn't the right move?
  14. He's also better at LG, can we have another one of those FAs?
  15. That's going to be a tough one but keeping Mahomes upright should be good enough of a reason to stop whining for a year may be 🤷‍♂️
  16. Yep spend two premium picks on some maulers and we'll see how improved this whole team will be. This team would be much better if we had a better LG or OC both to protect Mahomes and block for whomever is out there to fumble the ball.
  17. That's true but he might be the best ever to play the position which makes him an exceptional situation. The problem arises with guys like JJ Watt vs some retired names in which case Watt could have an undeserved advantage.
  18. The thing is current players can always screw up their careers and will definitely get undeserved favor over others that might not be remembered as much.
  19. He'll be tagged, they don't have any offense besides him.
  20. Looking at the way Ingram ran all over us I doubt it but it's tough to ignore Ivie's pass rush skills. There hasn't been anyone as good since DT.
  21. It doesn't really matter. The total numbers will play a major role rather than the average when making the decision as well as the overall team performance. At this point any guy that misses time will be left out of the race IMO. Mahomes can easily catch up and possibly exceed Jackson if he stays healthy but we might need more of a Brady-type performance from Mahomes for SB this year moving the ball from the ground and keeping the offense on the field rather than flashy numbers.
  22. They look to have a decent roster for playoffs but too early to tell. We have shown multiple times that they are beatable and can do it again. People seem to underestimate Mahomes' capabilities, if we can protect him there's no player remotely close to him in the entire league.
  23. Any game in the division is ours to lose. Reid basically owns the other 3 and coming off a bye it should be relatively easy as long as we don't suffer some major injuries.
  24. They have some potential but definitely got lucky in some games, still competitive enough to stay in but I don't think they make it when real games begin.
