  1. Never been the flashy sack guy but definitely a beast. Might have been the better move, at least would save us a couple picks and some cash.
  2. 7 rushes for 12 yards + 1 rush for 39. Lions came prepared, need to shake things up going forward.
  3. We are the team to beat in the NFL right now. Every team is basically coming out to prove that they have either a great defense that can stop us or an offense that's better than ours. Tough to be in this position but with Mahomes I guess we need to get used to being here.
  4. I thought the issue with him was the inability to get in position to make a play.
  5. Then again it's Mahomes in a dome with all the speedsters around him that don't have to worry about the elements.
  6. Watkins is no different than Houston. We have to release him to clear cap space and teams are aware of it. No team will give up picks to acquire him in the offseason. May be a meaningless one to avoid competition but that's it. If we want a real return than the time to trade him or another WR is now. The situation is basically trade a WR now vs let one or two walk free at the end of the season. So the decision lies in the staff considering WR or another position as critical for the SB push in 2019. Keeping all WRs is definitely a bad move in the long term but if that's what the staff thinks will bring us the Lombardi then they will make some long term sacrifices for the big win, which is very common in the NFL.
  7. Reid is basically playing Madden in some cheat mode with Mahomes.
  8. They are focusing on neutralizing him and that opens up the door for other defenders. However Clark should get to a point where the effort put in to neutralizing him won't really stop him which will come over time IMO. Right now he's not a beast but that'll likely change over the next few weeks. This defense is still a work in progress.
  9. I think QB numbers don't mean much. If the team is already in a position to win then it turns to handing off to the RB. The sample size is too little right now to take them seriously. Brady didn't even play a real game right now so I don't even know if he has shown anything superior to what a guy like Alex Smith might have done in his stead.
  10. Numbers don't tell the full truth, they just give an idea. Regarding that PFF is a decent source but there are always exceptions to actually taking it as an absolute ranking. It basically gives information about the "better" or "worse" players as a group without a clear ranking of them in between.
  11. I'm all for trading Watkins as he's likely gone after this season and wouldn't mind trading Hill either as I think Robinson might have a decent upside. However I don't want any divas on the roster like Ramsey. He'll be a huge trouble during contract negotiations and that could linger for long after he signs it as well. Either player for Peterson is a win IMO and Cardinals should rejoice having a proven WR acting as the deep threat for their hot young QB. Fitzgerald is already the possession guy and will be gone soon.
  12. I doubt it. If he keeps up the form I can see a mid level contract coming his way in FA to stabilize some RB group. With all the young talent we won't be giving him that deal to end his career. May be another year for a SB push but that's it.
  13. I have seen people ranking the live interception machine Aikman way ahead of Marino when it shouldn't be possible in any aspect of the game except for the SB wins. Those that have seen Marino play have a lot of respect for him but he'll be forgotten rather quickly once those people start diminishing. Guys like Brady or Aikman will always remain though.
  14. The same for me. He doesn't seem to have the intelligence when taking off. Way too competitive for his own good.
  15. Alex Smith could have won as many SBs with that roster. That being said Aikman is right about the SB wins being the measure of greatness when all is said and done. Marino will always be overlooked no matter how great of a QB he was. The same will be true for Reid. If he retires without any rings he'll be some HC who won a few games back in the day.
  16. So far: Love the Okafor signing. Best FA pickup of recent years. Kpass looks like a late 1st pick in his rookie season that's showing a lof of promise for the long run. Clark is still questionable, he'll be good but not sure about the price yet if he cannot adjust as well. Breeland looks like he'll get paid in 2020. Thornhill is looking good and will be an established starter by mid season. Wilson looks legit and could stay here beyond his contract. Overall I think the defense will have some trouble going forward, especially when the opponents stick to the run game but the adjustments are a nice change as we aren't stuck in a singular mindset throughout the game.
  17. When was OL a strength? It sure wasn't a weakness but never really something to consider a strength.
  18. The thing is we don't really need one of a kind Hill. Mahomes can do great without him. I think paying Robinson-tier WRs and spending the offensive cash on Mahomes' protection is much more valuable than tying up the money in a single WR.
  19. I would trade Hill for Peterson or Xavien Howard but not for Ramsey. I'm not even sure if I want Ramsey at all with all of recent developments regarding him. Last 2 weeks showed that our offense can function perfectly with any of our current WRs out of the mix. I only have doubts about Ramsey himself.
  20. As seen last year missing a player on either side of the ball may be the critical move. Also we seem to have needs on offense as well, we are one injury away from having Allen back out there. Right now we have a great offense, might be the best of the decade but don't really have the depth all over.
  21. When can he join the team in practices or did he do that already?
  22. From an objective standpoint Pat is perfect even when he is not!
  23. The same with me, it never felt like a competitive game once we took the lead. If they could respond soon with any score it would likely be different but who knows.
  24. That has been Reid all year long. Open up a big gap in the first half then stop calling newly designed plays and let loose. I didn't expect the same scenario against Baltimore though.
  25. I don't understand Harbaugh's logic. He called the game as if he was destined to lose but was trying for a miracle. With decent playcalling this game could be much different.
