I think our line will be much improved with a couple weeks of real football already done. If we don't blunder like the first quarter of the Raiders this one will not be as close as last year's game. Jackson has some athletic ability but will need to air it out to stay in the game and he doesn't seem to be accurate enough on the move, he'll definitely move some chains with his feet but our line looked good setting the edge so we won't see a lot of it. As long as our DBs don't give up some big plays we should win easily.

Mahomes is a no brainer but his contract will likely require us to free up some cap going forward. Not sure how the new CBA will shape up but if it turns out like the current one we'll need to send a few big contract guys packing rather soon. Jones is a beast on the line and probably should have been signed by now. Not sure what the gap is between his demands and the team's offer.

With the way we have spent money lately some players will have to leave. Due to position I imagine Jones would stay but it all depends on what he wants and what his market value would be in a tag & trade.

DRob definitely looked to be ahead of Hardman on the depth chart as he seems to have a decent route tree and solid hands. However if there's a buyer I would be willing to trade him away in a month, he's a free agent after this season and once Hill comes back he'll be relegated to 4-5 targets (if not less). With the cap hell coming up we need to flip some players for picks and if he keeps up the form Robinson might be a good candidate for that (if not a higher profile guy for more picks).

I think #25's role should be what it is today. May be he bounces back to his old self but we have decent talent in the position to actually ignore other guys. As you mentioned Williams Jr. would have been useful in some of those short yardage situations and Thompson looked like he can break some tackles. If Shady keeps up a decent form he will be the clear lead back in the playoffs but until then I think we need to utilize all guys to get an edge.

Sorensen and Erving free up 7 million between themselves after the dead money. However we only have Ward under contract at CB. Since we cannot draft 3-4 instant starters we'll have to pay a few FAs so trading away a WR is more likely. Would be awesome if Watkins brings in a high pick.

And I thought this was a calm week to travel Seahawks gave up on him because of the Wilson deal which created a cap hell. He's a much better DE than anything we've had since Allen left town. Like most of the recent contracts I'm guessing Veach is expecting Clark to progress during his deal since even though he's a nasty pass rusher he still needs to improve against the run, yet still better than what we've had in town. I would prefer something like both of our 2nds this year as we could salvage an extra pick with that late 1st but I guess the market was high on him. Definitely don't like the idea of future picks packaged with a big contract but that's the way of the business.

Chiefs requesting information on March 5th sounds very promising. I'm pretty sure they would put some distance between the team and Hill if he was directly involved at something serious. He's definitely not in the clear as the court will determine if the kid has been abused or not but I think it's a positive step.

Not sure if it has anything to do with the allegations. The WR market has been quite active this offseason and may be some teams inquired about him or may be Veach didn't want to pay him 100 million$ with Mahomes in town. However if Chiefs know something and hasn't taken action that won't look good.

I'm wondering the same thing, is he absolved if she's the one committing the act or is there something regarding the parents as a duo? Also does this turn into an assault charge since breaking an arm is quite brutal but definitely not the intention of neither the mother nor the father.

Veach talked about how talented Erving was and wasted inside. IMO there's room for such errors in trade/draft market. We saved some money by replacing Reid with him and may be he turns out to be a decent LG who knows. Definitely wasn't an upgrade over anyone last year though.
