  1. The market will determine his value but I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable giving Brown a top LT money at this point. Had high expectations based on his progression last year but that seems to have gone away completely. Hopefully he bounces back to a decent form for the sake of this season but OT may end up being the #1 priority in the draft.
  2. Also you never know in the NFL with injuries.
  3. Even though I agree with the sentiment I don't think anyone in KC is frustrated with the big moves others are making. It's not a bad thing to watch competition lose valuable picks only to face Mahomes magic when it really matters.
  4. Definitely an upgrade at RT if he can stay healthy. We could use that boost in the second half but not sure when he'll really be back.
  5. Should have an extension in place to give up a prime pick but then again it turns into the Frank Clark deal. Would hate to see something like that again. Should be giving up a lot less if we are to pay the guy.
  6. We can't stop Henry as long as they give him the ball. We simply need to make sure that they are feeling the urgency to throw all game long. A couple TDs back to back to kick things off will likely ease the game.
  7. Hill is better than any WR we have and this offense would be better with him if there were no cap issues. However the current offense of multiple decent WRs is a lot better than an expensive superstar.
  8. After holding off for the big contract in the last couple years curious about the possibility of an early extension. Would definitely want to keep him around for a modest deal if the current streak continues but he basically bet on himself a couple times. That being said the last injury may lead to him being more conservative with his expectations.
  9. I think a long term deal that would average around 15 million per season based on the latest inflation.
  10. I don't think we'll get anywhere close to our "money's worth" in 2022 but may be he could be someone they are looking at for 2023 and beyond. I think Juju will land a big FA deal elsewhere if he keeps up the recent performances.
  11. I would imagine this move comes with a potential trade-away on our side. Otherwise who'll be the odd man out of the rotation?
  12. For a mid round pick I would even send him to AFC West, I thought we were considering late picks Jokes aside we may not be deep in terms of established receivers but Hardman isn't an exception to that either. There are limited number of snaps to go around and Hardman's presence may also be something that's hindering Moore's or Watson's development and considering the upside the raw version of Moore on the field may be a bigger investment for us for the playoff run. Another thing to consider is that we'll be good with Mahomes around but successful teams can't keep everyone and that's not just a matter of offseason extensions. We need to be able to let players with trade value leave during as well for the right price and if there's a buyer for Hardman I think his value for the playoff run isn't as critical as the possible future gain for that pick.
  13. I don't think it's unthinkable. Hardman is definitely good enough to stay for this year but not sure if he's good enough for a long-term extension. However he could still have some trade value for a team that sees some upside or short-term value. In some cases it could just be a path towards easy extension if they believe in his pure abilities.
  14. Equal opportunity is something you do when you have nothing but crap just to find who has any signs of life. Pick that one and stick with him! What's next equal opportunity at QB or TE?
  15. I wouldn't mind this one. RT is way more important than skill positions at this point.
  16. Not sure how his contract is set up but do we even have enough cash for vet minimum at this point?
  17. With the way NFL is set up right now I think the idea of a 50:50 will always turn into 60:40 or 70:30 for those with elite QBs. I see us easily being at .500 or below this season even with a QB like Alex Smith who's way better than our QBs since Green up to Mahomes.
  18. The team and the scheme helps a lot in that regard. The defense has been a work-in-progress in KC for quite a while and I don't expect that status to change this year either. Once there's a solid skeleton in place this defense will produce some stars
  19. Hardman will likely need to go for a prove-it deal after this season. Definitely won't be in KC but needs to step up his game to get anything more than the vet minimum. Not sure what Spotrac is basing that prediction on but Hardman should be more than happy even with a third of it.
  20. Defense is getting some solid youngsters in the secondary but the critical part will be the trenches. We already have a solid rookie there, the focus will likely be finding another one on the other side as well as a couple stud inside. Having Jones around gives us flexibility to wait but with 2-3 solid additions this defense will be one of the top rather soon.
  21. I think he'll be a stud but likely will be brought in slowly due to the number of young vets in front of him that also need time to adjust. We could see some major contributions in the second half of the season.
  22. We have way too few runs for a team that led most of the games they played in so far this season.
  23. He needs to get paid before sounding Haynesworth and doesn't even need to be just as much. Mid round pick on a rookie deal.
  24. Nobody will give up picks for Brown at this point. He would need a solid season rest of the way to warrant anything but otherwise I see him getting a 2nd/3rd tier OT contract in FA and nothing more. I didn't expect Wylie to be a real solution as he has never been a consistently decent player at any position, small sample size misled us. However I didn't expect Brown to turn into a liability.
