Never trusted any strategy in short weeks and never will. Vikings had a tough line so I'm fairly sure that we have some minor injuries that will have an impact in the trenches as well as the running game. However there's no reason to stop running until we know that it doesn't work. Pacheco has been a beast whenever called upon and he's one of those guys that do much better with more carries.
I expected Prince to stay as the return man. Surprised to see Buechele leave, I'm guessing he could come back to the PS but since he couldn't make the roster after so many years I think it's time for another project player to groom.
I'm guessing they will keep maximizing the practice snaps with WRs. I don't think a few drives in the next two games will make too big of a difference but obviously the coaches know much better.
Not the same opponent but Buechele looked better than Gabbert against the Saints. I'm guessing they both get equal chance in the upcoming 2 games and battle it out. May be a start for both as Mahomes probably doesn't need any snaps at this point?
Feels like the keep Jones, trade Jones argument is pointless. It's stupid to overpay for Jones while it's stupid to let him go for market value. Until we know some solid figures I don't think either argument has too much merit.
If we are discussing the necessity of Jones at market value, then it's a huge mistake to let him go IMO.
Not a surprise to overlook Thuney. Only 3 interior linemen in the whole list, 2 guards and a center. Flashy positions get favorable treatment even by the players and looking at the names in there it's more of a popularity voting rather than a truthful list. I don't think Kelce (OC) would make the list if it wasn't for everyone's respect for him as opposed to the final output.
When we say "all time" the total output should matter as opposed to somewhat of an average. Charles is the most talented IMO but I wouldn't put his totals in the top 10.
I think Berry will get in some time considering his story but didn't expect him to get in so early. We wasted so much of Charles' career with useless QBs and possibly screwed him out of the HOF. He would have broken every record out there playing with a QB like Mahomes.
Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Creed, Thuney, Bolton is my list but since it's top 30 I'm guessing Mahomes, Kelce, Jones with the rest being overlooked. Would be surprised if Creed makes it there.
I don't see Jones being a major upgrade. He should come for vet minimum or a fancy deal that basically limits the cap hit if he wants a ring. Otherwise he's not that useful for us IMO.
Not sure if they were waiting up for Williams intentionally but seems like a good deal to enable further talks. CJ should be signed rather soon and get back to wrecking havoc by week 1.
We already need some veteran presence in the position and Dunlap did really well for us. No brainer IMO unless he's asking for more than some special amount that gives us one of those weird cap reliefs.
That's why a certain player that left the Chiefs for money did the right thing for himself as there's not that much of a post-NFL future for him in terms of money.
