  1. A bit too optimistic for some players being available but this would be a great scenario if we add a couple DBs in FA.
  2. I think his only value would be straight up for a player or as part of a package. I don't see any other value either.
  3. I think it was more of a case of avoiding hits as opposed to not breaking tackles. Hill's definitely strong for his size but he's still a small guy, might have been trying to be smart about that fact but I also didn't like some of his runs out of bounds instead of trying to make a play.
  4. There was some RB who ended up being the team MVP, I think he might have helped a bit too.
  5. So I guess we should start looking at next year's QB class 🤔
  6. Don't mind the Belldozer signing as long as dumb & dumber go somewhere else.
  7. Yep, Hill creates quite a bit of separation before the throw. Also Hill is used less on the runs out of the backfield that count as passes as opposed Hardman which do provide some boost when there's some contact.
  8. Yep, Hardman has good pure speed but plays at an average speed due to the other aspects. He could turn into a deep threat but I'm worried that his ceiling may be an "offensive weapon" similar to DMC. Hopefully he makes a huge leap this year, we could use a shifty guy at WR.
  9. May be it's similar to the Juju signing, I don't mind giving big incentives to mediocre players to trigger that extra drive. We'll see once the details become public.
  10. Definitely, they can cover 1 or 2 players for sure but if we had more consistent guys out of the top 2 it would have been a whole other story. I think 2 or 3 worse than Hill but dependable options mean an instant upgrade to our receiving corps and this is a very good first step.
  11. I thought he would cost something like 20 million over 3 years at most but hopefully the guarantees aren't that much.
  12. 31 is a bit tricky in that sense. Will be his last big contract but he'll want something as if he's still 28-29. The final figures will depend on how much he realizes his true value at this point as a guy who'll start declining rather soon.
  13. Unmatched acceleration and much better agility. Hill can stop and start as if he has been resting for 10 minutes and can keep up the speed even while making some cuts to any direction.
  14. I haven't watched a lot of him but from what I've seen he has decent range but seems to be floating a lot of throws. Doesn't seem like he has enough strength to throw darts like Mahomes or Allen so Hill will likely have to adjust to a whole new QB.
  15. Pats did that with Brady and worked like a charm for almost 2 decades. As long as the WR2 type of guys are solid the defense can't cover them all and that may be much better for success as opposed to a single guy hoarding all the cap.
  16. Assuming we land Valdes-Scantling I would look to add another FA like Landry or TY Hilton (or both) and probably pick a WR on the second day to groom for 2023 while rotating this year. Use the picks in 1st to fix the defense (DE + CB). A WR rotation like Juju Valdes-Scantling Hardman Landry/Hilton Powell? Rookie With the money saved from Hill situation bringing back Ingram should be rather easy but they need to do that before TC otherwise the draft may look much different.
  17. Yep, no reason to give away draft picks so we can make someone extremely rich. I don't mind trading 3rd day picks for players but anything earlier should have solid justification.
  18. I agree with the most but not sure about taking a step back for 2022. For whatever reason WRs need to spend time learning this system but with a couple proven veterans added to the mix Chiefs can simply play the numbers game at receiver and may be we see more emphasis to the run which could elevate this offense immensely.
  19. Can't since he's on a rookie contract but obviously no team will give up picks without a new deal in place so doesn't make sense to pursue him if he wants something else.
  20. I wonder if Chiefs were contemplating such a situation and looked into the WR class in detail? I know teams scout for all positions but not all of them get the same attention.
  21. I think they use Hill a bit in the backfield as well. My guess is 1200 total yards with 6 scores as they don't really have anyone else to get him the occasional one on one.
  22. Would a 3rd packaged with something else get it done for Lockett? Not really high on spending draft capital to pay DK a huge load of money but Lockett will be much more reasonable.
