  1. If they think it's not going to lead anywhere then 2 years is enough time to look into a young replacement that can be groomed from the swing tackle role. The prices seem fair to just see how he progresses but honestly I think he gets the big deal next year if he performs consistently at a strong level throughout the season.
  2. Tough to find another JC, he was tailor-made for such an offense and such a line. At this point I see Jonathan Taylor being the closest thing but I don't mind a healthy McKinnon either. I don't care about the pure speed but we definitely need someone that can attack the holes rather fast with some agility.
  3. Mexico City and London will be destinations and may be they make up some in South America?
  4. I think this is the smart way to go. First of all if there's cap space for now there's no reason to waste time with your own guys as you can always look into details over the summer. More importantly I think Brown staying on the tag unless he wants a team friendly deal makes a bit more sense to me. He's definitely much better compared to the beginning of the season but it doesn't hurt to have him earn the big paycheck if he wants something closer to the top.
  5. Basically kicking off from what Damien got a couple years ago with I believe a much smaller sample set.
  6. Tough to be sure. 10 million over 3 years could be the market as he missed out on the most critical part of the season. If healthy that would be a steal though.
  7. I think he could be a sleeper in FA that makes some GM very happy with the investment. The only upside for us is that the sample size isn't enough to attract many GMs.
  8. TBH I think he earned that spot. May be a healthy McKinnon would throw him off but otherwise I don't see CEH challenging Williams in this offense. Obviously it all depends on the scheme we do on the ground but Williams seems to be the more consistent option in the backfield with extended role.
  9. Geoff Schwartz. I think he was a good signing for the Giants as well but got injured early
  10. Not a surprise but I expected him back as the OC. Hopefully he'll take over when EB is canned one of these days.
  11. Either EB sucks or he's irrelevant. At what point does Reid realize too much loyalty is hurting this team
  12. I definitely think we should be targetting a Juju or Williams type WR in FA. No doubt about that since it takes ages to develop WRs in this regime and we have bigger needs that can only be addressed with the earlier picks. Get a solid guy in FA and get some production right now. However I don't think we should be looking for a star WR that will cost over 15 million per year as that would be a very bad investment.
  13. The same is true for pretty much everyone on the roster and in that perspective the drop off between a back of the roster guy vs a street FA may actually be the least at RB and WR as opposed to other non-ST positions. We definitely need another receiver but can't really put it as the high priority to overpay someone with the assumption that someone is going to get injured. In terms of aging we still have a few years until both guys are off the roster so there is no urgency to pay someone now as opposed to finding the younger/better option in 2-3 years when the move will have a much more impact.
  14. The only thing that could influence the Clark situation is likely his trial. There may be some favorable cap situation for the Chiefs if he's found guilty of something based on his contract and that could push the move a bit further. Other than that every team has the right to name 1 player as a June 1 cut without actually waiting for the date so Clark is the likely receiver of that honor unless Veach doesn't want to push the cap hit back a year.
  15. I think he would be considered playing "well" if he was getting paid no more than half of what he got. In a realistic scenario I think Chiefs should just let HB, Dirty Dan, and Niemann find their path in FA and may be HB brings in a 4th or something.
  16. Not sure about an early draft option. Defense seems to be a higher priority on that front. I think a better approach might be a legitimate #2 option at TE in FA with some upside could make sense. With Kelce in town I doubt we'll be in a position to draft a TE in the first couple rounds unless we hit jackpot with most picks in a draft or two for more urgent needs.
  17. I wouldn't rule out a legitimate target at TE either. We already have issues in the middle of the field besides Kelce so having another considerable investment there could make a lot of sense. Obviously defense gets more attention but a solid WR and a solid TE could fix the offense for the next few years considering that we already have the OL in place with some decent rushers (assuming we keep the bunch).
  18. We need a WR and FA is the best place to find one but no reason to pay a guy 20 million a year in an offense that features Kelce and Hill. Basically we are looking for the #3 receiver. Best case scenario for a guy like Adams would be trading him after a season with a huge cap hit since he won't want to stay in this environment. I think the path to the SB is getting a 2nd tier WR and focusing on the defense.
  19. Good move, use that cap space on a position of need for an actual contributor. Next up Clark.
  20. It would be nice if the "experts" made their minds about the draft class Regarding Ingram I think he could sign with an OTA bonus or something just to be on the safe side himself as well.
  21. WR for sure. Assuming we keep Ingram around I would look for another decent DE, may be another guy over 30, or an Ogbah-type that's a decent 2nd tier performer. Other than that I think it's all up to the cap. Based on the draft reports Safety could be a shallow area so may be adding a free agent there could also be a good move.
  22. Tough to be in Bolton's shoes trying to surpass such a HOF performance for playing time.
  23. All that I know about Ridley is about his fantasy value as he was a consistent performer on my team as a keeper since he was a rookie. However never really watched the guy but his head is definitely a big concern with the lack of information about the whole thing. He becomes the #1 guy in the offense and decides to leave just when he was up for an extension so that's a really huge red flag about his mental status. Hopefully he is well and/or recovers soon but I wouldn't want the Chiefs to take that risk.
