  1. The "best" is always subjective as this is a team sport. There are exceptional situations but elite players can all be the "best" based on the perspective. I like Kelce a lot more than Gronk at TE but wouldn't say that Gronk isn't just as good. I like Kittle a lot too, especially during the mic'd of the SB win he showed to be a real classy guy and a solid teammate while putting up the numbers. In the end Kelce will get to the SB in the first ballot but everyone can consider anyone as the "best" for whatever reason they choose. Keep in mind that Mahomes was the worse QB on Sunday according to most of the media.
  2. He needs to stop slacking, we can't use his talents for about 50% of the game
  3. Great find Most microfracture surgeries simply but a halt in the career and start the decline to the abyss. We were extremely lucky that this one wasn't not only as major as most but also Kelce turned out to be even better than advertised.
  4. Even if it's not that critical for the motivation it would still help a lot with the focus. Players tend to feel a bit more relaxed until they are hit by the ugly truth in the game but focus at this point would help avoid that.
  5. 33 in FA. I don't mind signing him for a modest deal but if there's someone willing to pay him a stud starter money I would stay away from that.
  6. Both Clark and Ingram are basically playing for their next paycheck. I would assume they wreck havoc against a relatively lame OL in this one. Bengals won't have the refs bail them out so easily and the secondary won't be as useless so I think we'll see a much better defense. Still not sure if we stop them from scoring as Spags seem to turn into his predecessor, that I prefer not to name, and goes into the useless prevent mode lately.
  7. With the Chiefs fan perspective SB comeback against the 49ers was the best. However from a non-Chiefs fan perspective I can see this one remembered as the better game. 3 lead changes and a tie within the last 2 minutes all of which came in really tough situations. Hard to top that.
  8. This is the kind of outside the box thinking that I like to see. Too bad Spags mentality is "if you fail once, try again over and over and over". We had a rookie and a 2nd year receiver break records against us in the span of 3 weeks.
  9. That would be my single interview question to any candidate.
  10. For whatever reason we have been much better at finding those in FA as opposed to drafting them. I agree we need a big consistent guy against the run.
  11. At some point DRob was blocking two guys simultaneously. I wonder if that was the reason for the staff to keep him around as a "receiver" for so long. Hardman could very well be a decent gadget player eventually but that seems to be his ceiling. Wouldn't mind to have picked him up in FA as opposed to giving multiple picks because if he can take care of the ball protection we could see him hurt defenses consistently in Reid's offense.
  12. His play. He was a slam dunk in 2019 but afterwards his play never reached that level. He's still a very good player but doesn't really justify the big money we need to pay him. Giving a guy like Reed a short term deal to take DT off the needs list and moving Safety up in the draft makes more sense to me unless there's some FA that I'm missing.
  13. Can't stop looking at this, just like a Renaissance painting.
  14. I think it's different during the game and afterwards. Mahomes was also in concussion protocol during the Browns game but after the game it didn't turn out to be a concussion. I don't know what HB's situation is but he could be in a similar situation. That being said if he's on the protocol it's up to the doctor's to decide so we better be ready to suffer Dirty Dan at least one more game and hope HB comes back as early as this week.
  15. That's some serious foresight right here 😄
  16. I don't mind the game going on until there's a winner in the playoffs, if they are worried about the end time they can start the games at noon and afternoon. I'm sure there will be edge cases for every rule but I don't mind the OT played as full quarters until there's a winner. What I hate is the emphasis on the stupid OT rules after a game that showcased the greatest 2 minutes in NFL history. 2 comebacks one of which is with 13 seconds is overlooked quite a bit in the media.
  17. What's the story there, Chiefs are only here because they were lucky or aided by stupid rules and Burrow is the knight in shining armor to save football?
  18. Oddly enough Saturday ended up being rather forgettable and somewhat boring 😅
  19. I agree with all the moves. I'm tempted to bring HB back but I don't know if he'll be worth the price. Get a 3rd and move on.
  20. Media already started: https://sports.yahoo.com/overtime-rule-undermines-nfl-best-034115290.html https://www.foxsports.com.au/nfl/nfl-2022-overtime-rule-debate-patrick-mahomes-v-josh-allen-kansas-city-v-buffalo-bills-result-highlights-reaction/news-story/b1a7a744a1288f38dc57f3ce43b71f18 And a few other places. BTW I don't like the rule either I believe it should be a full quarter with no sudden death but they are acting like NFL made up the rule just before OT started.
  21. Great victory. I knew they were going to march on us and score as soon as Reid called that stupid play on 3rd and short which led to the FG. You don't get cute in the playoffs against a team that is focused entirely on you. That 13-second comeback was one of the greatest 13 seconds in NFL history and once that happened I knew we were going to win in the OT. Now it's time for revenge against the Bengals. I'm pretty sure NFL would love a cinderella story but the refs can't be as bad in KC so we definitely have some solid chances.
  22. If they think the guy will help them out they will pull the trigger. There's more to gain if the guy is a solid addition. Besides most of the interest seems to come from the NFC, who probably don't care about a couple extra picks we get.
