  1. Not sure about the market but after a solid performance in KC followed by two solid seasons in Miami there's a good chance that Ogbah will be looking for as much as he can get in his only major contract. I would be fine with something over 3-4 years that averages no more than 10 million but definitely skeptical to go over that.
  2. Great that defense didn't let him run backwards this time around.
  3. Just can't fail when running, good thing we don't do it often
  4. Two receivers fall with minimal contact in the same play. Need to stiffen up on offense.
  5. I think it would be a matter of who's available. In terms of the position TE doesn't have as much priority as most others, especially in 2022, due to Kelce being around and the expectations from Gray. It's not realistic to find a guy as polished as Kelce but if there's a guy that resembles a healthy Moeaki type in 4th or later I think that's when you pull the trigger and hope that he can be groomed into being the next Kelce.
  6. If you want to replace the top TE in the NFL that means spending a hight 1st which we'll hopefully never have. Chiefs need to develop Kelce's replacement and a mid round pick that can be coached up is as good as it gets to get started. Just keep picking a guy like Gray until the coaches like what they see and we'll go on from there.
  7. He would be in the mix for a major workload but he probably thought a huge contract would come his way in the offense he's used to with just a year to get rid of the limited cap. If he comes in I think Hill goes back to being the deep threat and the playmaker but Juju would change the entire offense as the solid possession receiver that can also go deep whenever needed. Let's see what the staff thinks about him now.
  8. No. 1 seed: 13-15 No. 2 seed: 6-8 No. 3 seed: 1-1 No. 4 seed: 4-3 No. 5 seed: 1-0 No. 6 seed: 2-0 The sample size is rather small but interesting to see that teams that get a bye have a losing record in the SB as opposed to the teams without a bye that have a winning record. Also the #1 seed has won only 8 out of last 31 SBs. The home team has a major advantage in the wild card and the championship game but those that walk the tougher path seem to be more successful in the SB once they reach the game.
  9. I don't know what kind of an algorithm determines this but looking at even the non-Chiefs comments it was a brutal officiating. They should disband the group but let's see if NFL keeps the band together.
  10. Probably wanted to go for a SB run with Big Ben before leaving instead of being the #3 receiver behind Hill and Kelce. However things probably changed a lot by now. I don't know how his injury goes but I doubt he gets the big money this offseason. I think the Chiefs make a similar offer to last season in the long term and if it's enough to lure him that would be great.
  11. I agree, would love to have the luxury to add an offensive weapon early in the draft but need to find a DE, possibly a DB and an OT rather early in the draft.
  12. Playing next to Thuney and Creed definitely seem to have worked out for Allegretti. I think he could end up sticking around for a while as a decent backup.
  13. Not to mention some of the players probably playing for an offseason paycheck as a losing team doesn't really inflate their value.
  14. I like to stick to the classics. The SB win and the wired video are a loop playing in the background from time to time.
  15. I like the Williams & Gore duo in the backfield. They compliment each other very well and both know how to stay up for those extra yards.
  16. We have all 3 together for at least 3 more seasons so the interior is definitely set in stone unless we have some injury issues. It's all about finding healthy OTs to finish off the line.
  17. It may not be a popular opinion but I think the prime time for NFL is Sunday noon. Can't blame them scheduling the game on Saturday as the stakes are as low as it gets compared to quite a few others around the league and definitely don't mind the extra rest day before the playoff game.
  18. Yep, I don't see Brown accepting a move to RT. It may be a temporary thing during the season if needed but he'll definitely want the extension as the LT and then consider other possibilities for the team.
  19. Forgot all about the Pringle return. Pointless penalty that took away a TD. We simply shot ourselves in the foot in every single aspect of the game.
  20. We definitely don't have enough Safeties on the roster even if HB is extended, at least one newcomer is a guarantee but I hope Dirty Dan doesn't come back. The new vet minimum is way too tricky for most teams as he doesn't cost as much as the money paid to him which sucks when you really want to get rid of a player that the staff likes.
  21. I don't mind him staying, in fact until this season he has been nothing but great on the field and those leadership qualities are just awesome extras. However I'm not sure about the cost of retaining him. We have been expecting a huge jump in salary cap but the pandemic is too unpredictable to commit to every single player. Even though I didn't hear Hunt talking about it and can't be certain about his demeanor, since it's Hunt saying that he'll stay I'm pretty sure they'll try to resign him but we'll see how the numbers come up. The last time I remember Hunt making such comments we made Berry the highest paid Safety in the NFL.
  22. True, we were still very close to just pencil this one as a win and move on. If we actually got a TD to end the first half I doubt Bengals have any heart to go on in 3rd and could have been over by then. Thornhill baffled me a bit, he's generally the smarter Safety but looked out of position quite a few times. There were receivers behind him more often than not and couple of them led to terrible TD plays. I love the aggressive defense and the blitz but felt like it was set in stone for us in that 3rd & 27 as if it actually mattered. We know that no QB will take a sack there and throwing it away still means a FG from that range. Making it easy for them to get the 1st was just the final blow to the terrible coaching mistakes we saw all game long.
  23. IMO the loss is fine. In fact if we clinched the bye I'm not sure playing the next real game in 3 weeks would be good for the team either. We could still win if Hill didn't drop two very easy passes and it would still be a questionable one for me. I would prefer to see the coaches try to adjust and fail for a loss rather than just do nothing and still lose the game. We have seen the same issue multiple times this season, lack of adjustment from coaches create substantiated worry for the playoffs considering that we lost to pretty much all the teams we'll be facing.
