  1. If Seahawks were still in AFC West or at least the AFC I would feel differently as wouldn't mind watching Chiefs without traveling but obviously the home field is way too valuable for both the team and the city. I didn't really feel like it for the last couple seasons but watching the crowd mess up the Broncos I think the home field is really back now.
  2. Honestly I couldn't care less. If we fix the offense and win throughout I think we'll get the #1 seed regardless of whomever plays. Not sure if it's realistic but I don't see any team losing any game creating a serious advantage to the Chiefs at this point as I consider most to be inferior.
  3. When you watch a team suck for so long you get to identify problems rather easily. Until Mahomes took over, I didn't know how to be happy watching your team play. Heck I didn't even know what a 1st round QB looked like in KC.
  4. I love how the defense seems to have found some identity. We still give up a lot on the ground but that only seems to be whenever the logical choice is a pass play. Once that's figured out as well I think we'll have a SB-caliber defense. Offense still needs to figure out this playcalling. We don't seem to be doing whatever has been working for us but that may simply be due to keeping conservative due to lack of opposition on the field. Need to be playing under center more often, this shotgun formation is pointless especially with such a decent line.
  5. They should make a compilation of Elway's face after each loss. Will be a long video but I promise I'll watch without blinking
  6. Watching the Ravens - Steelers game now, AFC is sure up for grabs by anyone at this point but definitely not Baltimore.
  7. Makes sense. The ST coach basically replaces the coin flip at the bottom of the roster to keep some guys around that you are unsure about and have to create something that works without utilizing the stars.
  8. As Reid explicitly stated anything that works is EB, anything that sucks is AR.
  9. Were we ever hoping that he wouldn't leave? Initially everyone wanted him around for sure but ever since the 2 3rds came into play I don't think anyone wanted him to stick around.
  10. We lost too many tiebreakers to get the #1 seed but it sure is up for grabs by anyone. LJ went back to his roots as things got serious and there's no way they survive some of the games down the road.
  11. I definitely do. The attitude of the team comes from being a singular unit and uniforms play a role in that.
  12. White on white needs some mud to get going, I think the classical approach of red on white is the safest bet. Red on red looks good IMO but we don't seem to play our best.
  13. It won't even be a close one, definitely a waste of "prime" television. Also I'm not sure if I like the idea of having just 2 noon games until the playoffs.
  14. Reminds me of the Charles days when he was basically a receiver while averaging the all-time NFL record.
  15. Seemed to be on a good trajectory prior to the injury. May be they give him a bigger workload after the bye. Regarding the "hate" I think it's a matter of investment vs turnout. Definitely not a CEH thing IMO but I understand people expecting more from a 1st round pick. However he can't do much unless the staff utilizes him.
  16. Brian Waters' belly combined with Jason Dunn's meanness
  17. Way off with this prediction I guess they were really confident in CEH's MCL.
  18. I agree 40-yard times don't say anything about the speed. CEH has a decent playing speed but definitely not a speedster that will rip a big one one out from time to time. He was always a "move the chains" type of prospect that would get the 1st down by getting the tough yards and falling forward. I like CEH's hands but he's not that much of a blocker so not really surprising to see him out of the passing game as opposed to previous RBs in Reid's system. There's also the rotational aspect as having a single guy do everything isn't that realistic in today's NFL unless that guy is the workhorse for the entire offense.
  19. Not sure why a team would pass the ball twice as much as the runs while leading the entire game and the run has been very effective. Reid/EB stumbled big time but defense came to play and won a tough one on paper. I think the offense returns to the basics and we ride the streak a bit further after the bye.
  20. Thanks to the crappy "WRs" we can get happy with a simple catch in the open field.
  21. Surprised to see so much RPO and CEH to start the game. Kelce pounding that TD with the line paving the way was just awesome.
