  1. Curious how that works. Are all incentives counted towards the next year's cap or are some pre-allocated from this year?
  2. I'm guessing they moved up for a future starter on either side (2024?) but weren't in a position to move up for a 2023 starter so just pulled the trigger on a stop gap. With a late pick each year it's not very likely that we'll be in a position to draft an immediate starter so any transition is a 2-year process.
  3. I like the move, solid LT until injury and will look to bounce back in a contract year. Veach understands that his #1 job is to protect Mahomes and I guess he didn't like the options in the draft. Pretty sure the figures are inflated with incentives similar to Juju.
  4. Wouldn't mind an early 3rd day pick for him but I guess the market isn't very hot. Hopefully he turns it around this year and at least makes something out of his future in the NFL.
  5. Trent Williams by far, wouldn't mind Aaron Donald either but not really a very close second. One of the best RTs in the league paired with the best LT would mean a TD record by Mahomes and possibly another SB with relative ease.
  6. No reason to move Smith. He has been doing a great job at RG and should only focus on getting better there. Kinnard can try to become the LG and I'm guessing Alleggretti will still be in the mix as the replacement for Thuney whenever the time comes.
  7. Doubt it, veteran gets the full year regardless but next year could be a huge boost from day one.
  8. No reason to pencil in Niang as anyhing, this is basically camp battle move.
  9. This is the BPA day but I wouldn't mind seeing another OT in the mix.
  10. The best player in the NFL deserves the biggest contract but with the position of QB that means risking the GOAT status. Mahomes is very competitive but not sure which he would prefer but either way they'll keep him here for life.
  11. I see Wright climbing up the boards, would love to have him fall to us but doesn't seem likely.
  12. I've seen a couple mocks that send Miles Murphy to us which would make quite a bit of sense based on Spags' history at DE. A lighter option is always possible but that would mean somewhat of a minor scheme change.
  13. Definitely. I would much rather have a solid OT protect Mahomes then watch him get beaten up all day trying to throw to a pro bowl WR.
  14. I don't like the idea of giving up major draft capital to move up but wouldn't be surprised during a draft in KC. May be we are putting it too much emphasis but Hunt could make some splash to get people hyped.
  15. If they are high on the guy as a backup then I don't mind the 3rd day investment and if they can't flip him for a high pick we will have a solid backup in our hands assuming the reports are true.
  16. Whomever plays LT will likely get some boost from Thuney next to him but in the end I hope the contract doesn't force the Chiefs to force Taylor into LT if that's not the best value for the team. A decent LT with a great RT may be a very realistic goal this year.
  17. Media is the greatest motivator for this team. Let them bash us as much as they want, players are taking note of it.
  18. Makes more sense to pick a LT and keep him on the right side, otherwise where is the upgrade from OBJ? I guess they want to have some sort of flexibility during the draft.
  19. Not sure if he's even a worthy backup but must have learned some things from Brady at least. I guess Shane is out the door or just a camp body at this point 🤔
  20. Never really understood how the "experts" judge a draft class but getting a decent #2 WR in the second or third day is usually a win IMO. Not sure what the expectations and the reality of this class is but if some GMs jump on that bandwagon and reach for some prospects it's just a big win for teams like us.
  21. I think last year's class, especially at WR, got vastly overpaid and the market is trying to correct itself due to the cap. To be honest I think such a down year in terms of non-QB money was already expected with quite a bit of players making around 10% of the whole cap which makes no sense.
  22. DL and OL seem to be deep in this draft based on the same "experts". So there's a good chance that teams will reach for crappy players in shallow positions like WR leaving some studs on the first couple days in critical positions.
  23. Need to get it in the offseason when they usually have some decent discounts but the prices sure have been going up. We are basically paying a Mahomes-tax at this point 🥲
  24. So an ex-Bengals QB thinks their current QB is better than Mahomes 🥲
