  1. Another miss IMO is the possibility of 3-step & 5-step play options. In the shotgun defenses are expecting a throw right from the snap so there's no room for surprise.
  2. I miss the Vermeil balance as well. It's not really comparison of coaches as Reid is already capable of doing so as he showed with Smith in town as well and he had some decent mentality with Hunt too.
  3. Doesn't look like an answer at anything right now but probably has some talent. It's all up to the coaches to see if they can make something out of him. Always love such moves, raw talent that costs nothing.
  4. I wonder if this whole new formation is something that works in the NFL 🤔
  5. Curious about what was the issue with him in the first place but not makes him a viable option. IMO he made sense as a free agent signing but definitely don't want to give up a pick for him.
  6. Not sure if there's a generally accepted time but after some point every CB will get beat and from time to time even the best will get beat rather early. Overall I think the secondary is giving the front 7 enough time to get to the QB, it's the guys up front that are failing to do so.
  7. Could be. He might be trying to avoid injuries on his way out of the NFL if things are as bad as they look.
  8. It's all about the usage IMO. The way we have been utilizing him is nothing more than an UDFA. However in the right scheme I think he could have been a solid pick. He's definitely not worth a 1st in a draft that turns out has a much better options at RB.
  9. I think we are still in a very good shape to bounce back and make a push in the playoffs. There are lessons to be learned and if the staff do learn those I think this is still an unstoppable offense. Defense will eventually figure some things out and I think some corrections will light a fire under the entire group. I think we get rid of the RPO, no team can run the ball with it and it's restricting the offense too much.
  10. Sneed is solid and as long as he stays healthy and keeps playing I think Gay will become solid as well. Both Niang and Danna have nice potential but we need them to actually become decent players to be called solid. I think 2020 has potential and I like most of the picks but wouldn't call it a good draft without seeing the return.
  11. 3 solid players out of any draft is a huge win. I think 2021 draft was by far Veach's best, by comparison I think all others were simply bad or terrible. Hopefully he builds on this year, we need to get some solid rookies to win another one.
  12. IMO second tier guys, either due to talent or age, tend to build championship teams. Trying to go for stars in every position never works and leaves peanuts to find depth, aka whatever we have at the DL rotation. Not sure about Ingram as there was talk about his demands but I think Houston would be a very good fit for this line. Don't know if he wanted to be here but should have been a priority target IMO.
  13. Thuney is one of those guys that thrives on availability. Some are simply built differently with that extra will to be out there doing their best. However IMO that's an extra attribute rather than a general expectation from the player.
  14. The thing is so many fundamental or pure mental issues on the field generally point to active coaching issues. Even though I think otherwise, Britt Reid may not be the culprit but there are some major issues that start with Andy.
  15. I wouldn't play Jones with an injury as you can't get cute in the trenches and it may get worse with contact. Playing an injured guy makes no sense but if he's on the field he should be trying to make that tackle.
  16. I understand the offense's frustration with the defensive performance all year long but on Sunday it was the defense that showed some signs of life. Offense was dead lost from the first snap and there was literally 0 adjustments all game long. We were trying to do the same thing in the first drive as well as the last. Bolton in specific had more fire than the entire offense combined which is saying something considering the competitiveness of guys like Mahomes or Kelce.
  17. I think it's the #1 culprit. Reid hasn't been a decent coach ever since the incident and nobody around him was able to pick up the slack. I was hoping Reid would see football as a distraction but he clearly can't, I have no idea about his thoughts on the future but he may not have much of a career left in the NFL.
  18. I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of tests lined up for today.
  19. No run game, hence no play action. No slants whatsoever, I don't know why we have all these speedy WRs that are supposed to be built exactly for that. Seem to always be looking for the deep ball with no real fail-safe. Reid sure doesn't have his head in the game and has been messing things up quite often ever since his idiot son got the spotlight. We need a decent OC who'll take the load off from Reid and let him actually manage the team rather than play Madden with the offense.
  20. His salary is guaranteed for this year so Chiefs could be on the hook for very little if he goes to jail rather soon.
  21. He sure has been eyeing vet minimum if he can stay out of jail.
  22. Perfect ending, the offense had that special thing all game long.
  23. Good to see a WR playing tough, Pringle is carving out a role for himself.
  24. Good to see Clark putting the team first and helping us get out of that contract.
