  1. Defense is running around like headless chicken. Mahomes will need to bring some magic in the second half.
  2. The thing about stud linemen is that you rarely hear about them unless there's a lot of buzz and when you hear a LT's name a lot that's mostly due to terrible performance.
  3. Good thing it wasn't a PAT Mahomes sure had some plans for Monday.
  4. Browns are much better than people give them credit for. Chiefs win 37 - 20
  5. I'm thinking 19-0 throughout the year and 0-1 in the last regular season game.
  6. I'm not sure. Schwartz needs to prove his health to the NFL if he wants to make a comeback and that means signing a cheap deal to showcase himself. I think he wouldn't mind doing that in a system where he's known to be the best in the NFL. I don't see him replacing Niang if the youngster plays well but I can see Schwartz being the next man up if something happens somewhere along the line.
  7. Tough to determine how starting from day one would impact Mahomes. More playing time would definitely be better to progress in certain areas but there's also the risk of certain issues becoming habits since it takes longer to correct them. Considering the weird offense in TT I think it was for the best to have Mahomes sit out his rookie season and focus entirely on his adjustment. Regarding Wilson I think he was a very poor man's Antonio Brown but he sure would be better than anything we have not named Hill at this point. Solid #3 who may have been a solid #2.
  8. Should have seen this coming with all the great camp reports. Pretty much a given for the Chiefs. One of those injuries that can linger throughout the year if not longer, hopefully he comes back 100%.
  9. Dieter is just a placeholder for a roster spot for Long or HB. I don't know why they picked him instead of some other guy with some value that could be protected but may be the rest aren't as good as we have thought.
  10. I always thought this offseason would be a huge step for Keyes but guess I was wrong to begin with. Other than that I think the players were way too close to each other to make correct predictions but I like the balance of youth and veteran presence on the roster.
  11. They probably value Henne's ability to come in and keep the system going as much as possible. No surprises there as he's more established and can easily handle NFL drives if needed. Once Buechele learns those he'll probably be a much better backup but that will take time and he'll also have to learn to play like the first half much more than the second.
  12. Moore already had an established NFL career some of which as a starter. He wasn't simply a street FA that came in out of nowhere. I think we may have Henne's replacement in Buechele but I don't think that's in 2021.
  13. As seen last year versatility is great but not enough in terms of depth. It's nice to have players that can play multiple positions but an OL that suffers so many injuries need to back up every single position. Adding another game to the schedule doesn't make it easier for trenches. Having 10 linemen makes a lot of sense for the Chiefs. Blythe has been a decent starter with veteran experience, that's worth a roster spot IMO.
  14. Surprised with the Durant move. Definitely looked like he was a good UDFA pick but didn't expect him to bring anything back in a trade. Getting picks right after one of the worst OL performances within a season is really rare
  15. Couldn't find anything about this as news so keeping my hopes up. However ILB may be a big need in the next draft as well if Gay keeps getting injured so often.
  16. I think Buechele sticks around at the PS but I don't really expect the Chiefs spending a roster spot to keep him around. Definitely had some nice throws but too raw to actually be a backup and as pointed out Henne's veteran presence is valuable.
  17. As long as Ravens do a good job of getting something out of picks in the future it may work out nicely for them. However giving up a 4th round player for a future 5th and a 7th isn't increasing value at all. Overall I think Ravens lost in terms of pick value. However if you believe you will get nothing out of a player even salvaging something down the line is a plus.
  18. Not sure what value Robinson has in a trade but if they are up for it I wouldn't even think twice. I don't know about LDT's plans, he may be contemplating retirement after his current contract but regardless they would be getting rid of a guaranteed rookie contract in favor of two serviceable options.
  19. WTF is Mahomes talking about? He was the only shining light in that lame offense. Not sure if he's delusional or simply trying to have others' back.
  20. Could be, media never really gave much info about his injury status as he was never established as a high profile player. I'm hoping the youngsters showed much more than Taco did to begin last season but lingering injury could always be the primary reason.
  21. He won't get another shot at a big contract after 2022 so he better be ready to bring his best. I think we have two solid guys ready to take over and will likely add at least one in next year's draft.
  22. Had high hopes for Taco this year but looks like he couldn't bounce back from the injury or the youngsters simply were better. Danna showed some nice upside last year, they might be considering him for a bigger role.
  23. If they are not always looking to upgrade at every position then the front office isn't doing their jobs.
