  1. I don't see Mahomes playing that contract out but instead he'll likely sign an extension or two along the way. However the meaning of such a long deal that seems to have raised the average compensation for all other teams is a huge bonus to the Chiefs. Allen is a very good young QB with huge upside and I don't blame the Bills for that extension, in fact it was a smart move in the current scheme of things around the NFL. They were simply ruined by a massive contract to the best player.
  2. Curious about the 3 rookies on the line, probably won't get to learn much about the rest with all the shuffling around.
  3. If he can block I can see him winning one in KC.
  4. Hill losing a SB ring would be a great motivator, I hope he accepts the challenge Bolt ran a 4.22 at the combine in sneakers without actually preparing for it, Hill has no chance but to hope the injuries derail Bolt's capabilities. As the range gets longer Hill's little chance will diminish rather fast as there'll be fundamental factors like technique coming in and even guys running below 10 secs in the Olympics can't keep up with Bolt in that area.
  5. If there's the extra roster spots like last year I don't mind placing a couple guys on the protected PS to be on the safe side.
  6. Not sure if any team would give up something for LDT. Has been out a year and likely retires after this season and likely needs to get back to football shape after all those camp reports.
  7. Now that's scary Long's injury definitely messed up some plans.
  8. We might hear about Wylie a lot more than we hoped this year
  9. Still in KC and has good relations with the management. I doubt it was set in stone but bringing him back if he can recover in time might have been the plan all along.
  10. Looks like Remmers inherited Schwartz's back as well I hope he recovers soon, otherwise we should be on the market for a swing tackle and that sure isn't easy so late in the summer. I wonder how Schwartz is coming along in his recovery?
  11. Kids running around wild around the field get participation trophies. Not sure what else LJ needs to do before NFL gives him one 🤔
  12. Looking at the early WR production in this regime I don't expect anything else from Powell. I guess he'll likely learn over time and hopefully become a good option. Earlier is always better but that doesn't seem to be very realistic with all guys taking some time to adjust to Reid.
  13. CEH definitely didn't live up to the 1st round pick status but tough for any RB to live up to that with so little work. Overall I think he was a reach simply because Reid doesn't seem to have been planning to use him, upgrading the OL with that pick would have been much better. However I think he was a decent RB who'll likely get better with a full offseason.
  14. I trust him to find a very original way to mess things up yet again. Gotta give him credit, he's really consistent.
  15. Hardman showed talent in the last 2 years I hope he got his head straight and starts playing football but personally I need to see it in a real NFL game to believe. Too much disappointment over the years with "talent" at WR. Surprised no team took a shot at Key with that size. It's not easy to find relatively big corners that can tackle. Hopefully he's the real deal, the DBs sure have been performing beyond their draft status with Spags.
  16. He was an up & coming DE with double digit sacks for 3 years after his rookie season. Solid against the run, setting the edge well while getting to the QB quite often. It's not unusual to see players getting overpaid in FA if the GM is really high on them. I think Flowers' FA deal raised the market for worse and a stupid move by Detroit messed up the new deal. Seattle was forced to let him go for less but I'm not sure if some other team was raising the trade value back then but Clark basically got Khalil Mack treatment with prime picks and a huge deal.
  17. I hope so, even though hardened teams tend to do better in the SB an easy victory in the playoffs is good to get everyone healthy.
  18. If the better player can play on the left side, that should be the choice IMO. Obviously it's a different approach based on the need, a few downs in a single game vs multiple games should warrant different setups.
  19. Can't remember the last time I've heard that about our interior OL. I hope Brown's struggles were simply because Jones turned into a beast.
  20. Never heard of that nickname, has it ever been used beyond Baltimore?
  21. Hiccups are always a concern but if he ends up beating a healthy Remmers for the RT job I would be thrilled. Not sure how they would handle the backup LT situation but some shuffling could take care of that easily.
  22. Seems to be working both the slot and the outside. They might be trying to figure out where he belongs but I think the deciding factor will be whether or not Sneed sticks at outside. I like the young upside among the group. Both Baker and Hughes have talent as shown in their college years, if Spags can translate that into NFL we'll have a very young & decent secondary with cheap contracts for quite a while.
  23. Have been hearing a lot of Hughes at CB. Hopefully he's starting to live up to his 1st round status, could be a huge steal.
  24. It's all about the dead money after this year. Goes down by half which will be an interesting decision if Clark can actually bounce back.
