If he agrees to it I don't mind the 1-year deal but also if he's looking to go elsewhere for slightly less for that assurance I wouldn't mind giving him that. With somewhat of an established backfield I think we can benefit from playing the numbers game on the trenches during the draft.
I'm guessing he's waiting for a relatively bigger multi-year deal but wouldn't mind giving him a 2-3 million average over a couple years and let CEH leave for whatever we can get in a trade.
Yep, decent OT but a terrible 1st overall pick. Obviously I would want a better OT but realistically I don't see us finding someone better than Fisher in this draft with the last pick. Definitely the worst season to draft high and if I'm not mistaken Lane Johnson is the only prospect people knew about before the draft that worked out 🤔
Didn't know draft had so much entertainment concerns until I read this post. It's back to back picks with commentators barely talking about the latest pick in between, who needs concerts and such during the draft?
Yep, it was a team effort with pretty much everyone chipping in. Bell with his first TD, Williams turning into Barry Sanders, receivers catching everything coming their way, defense turning into the great wall, etc.
Nutritionists know what each body needs physically better than anyone else for sure. However there's the mental aspect of being in a team that they cannot cater. Smart move by Reid to stick to the tradition in such an environment.
Hill seems to think he's more important for the Chiefs than he really is. Great WR and most players in the organization like him but we have been over him for a while and I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that we got a huge win in that trade. He can talk all he wants but I, for one, don't really care about what he has to say in terms of a made up rivalry.
You find some cheap flight, book your hotel ready for a great Sunday at Arrowhead with a nice weekend planned in the city. Then with a month to go they flex the game to Thursday and all your plans go down the drain as well as any money you can't get back. Not sure if people can plan such trips anymore in this economy as they can't catch any early bargains.
Not sure how much of a difference the TNF makes in terms of TV money but such an unchecked greed will ruin the sport if it keeps up.
Wouldn't like to give any picks in the first two days for any WR, especially someone who'll want to be paid handsomely within a year. May be our late 3rd if they are up for it but still think that pick would be better utilized trading up for a LT or spent for the trenches on either side.
I don't consider anything other than OT the top priority but if we need to go another way for the pick I wouldn't prioritize any offensive position over defense. DL is a much bigger need and will have much bigger impact than any receiver we select.
He has been jumping up the draft boards since the senior bowl and apparently a very successful combine but interesting to see where he ends up. From what I've read he would be a great 1st round pick but his draft journey resembles Conklin quite a lot so we may not even be in a position to consider him but obviously we never know.
DMC had occasional big plays as an "offensive weapon" but vastly overrated in terms of potential. I feel like Hardman resembles him more than DAT who turned out to be a very small WR that wouldn't survive in the NFL.
Not really worried as I'm expecting more from Moore and Toney with an increased workload. Obviously the current situation isn't ideal as MVS seems to be the most reliable option out there but there will be more veterans released as the offseason continues. Mahomes will make any WR look better than they really are and quite a bit of vets will jump on board simply for that purpose. Trades are always possible as well.
Not sure about the #3 ranking though. Moore was regarded as a very solid prospect coming out last year and Toney is basically a poor man's Hill when healthy so I believe we might have 3 WR2s at hand which is perfectly fine since Kelce is really our #1 receiver.
We may be overthinking as this could just be a depth move for a reasonable price. He can contribute in multiple roles and LB has been a major weakness until the last couple years.
I'm fairly sure he could land a Geno-like situation if he doesn't want the big bucks. Don't really think he would be looking to revive a career at his age by sitting behind Mahomes for a couple years.
