  1. At 32 Jones is about to make the switch to the high priced former star if he hasn't done that already. I don't expect him to put up better numbers than 2nd tier FAs that warrant less money. May be he could make sense for some teams in 2021 but beyond that it's just an unnecessary risk with limited upside. Anything higher than a 3rd is overkill IMO and his contract may very well be a burden instead of an advantage depending on how the cap will turn out.
  2. Wouldn't mind if he gets a modest deal but I'm not going to keep my expectations high after the Bell experiment.
  3. I expected him to be the first contract to be taken care of as it saves tremendous money right away, considering the moves made it was a no brainer. However Veach waiting on this one means either HB is demanding a huge deal or they always planned on the moves they already made and HB was simply a summer issue.
  4. Right now seeing what he can do with a full year of predetermined role is probably much better than just giving him up for pennies as the risk will easily justify the return based on his current market value.
  5. At this point Hardman is actually playing to get a veteran contract as he hasn't shown anything more than a vet minimum so far. I would love to trade him for any second day pick if a team is willing to give us one and a 4th isn't a bad option either but with the WR depth we have in town I think hanging on to him for another year makes more sense unless we can land some decent options in FA over the summer. That being said I think he's closer to being cut than traded for most NFL GMs right now and not really a viable trade asset.
  6. Good question. In the past we knew what to expect from each game and one could invest accordingly if making a trip but now at least this year will be a lost one on that regard.
  7. As long as Fitzgerald is unemployed he's the best player to pick up for the Chiefs IMO. Mahomes and the chase for a ring will give him that extra physical boost for a year and he doesn't need anything else to contribute in KC. He could easily surpass and and possibly double his 2020 performance
  8. Wow, people really need the slightest bit of resemblance to get pissed off. It's good to see him mocking himself through past events, that's a good indicator of self awareness.
  9. Last attempt to fix things with Rodgers or veteran help for Love to ease the growing pains. Either way it makes a lot of sense for Packers under current circumstances.
  10. Can't really compare players in different positions. I don't think the list is outrageous, the top OG rankings seem legit and I wouldn't consider Creed anything without taking a snap in the NFL so I don't care about wherever he's ranked either. In terms of OT Schwartz topped the list in the past but he was an exceptional player in his position. There are some exceptional OTs that deserve high spots and Brown could penetrate that list rather soon but I'm not sure if I would consider his ranking low as there are some proven solid LTs that generally get the nod over guys like Brown.
  11. Looking at that numbers I would definitely prefer a long term deal with Juju that averages something like 12-13 million per year, assuming he was open to anything other than the 1-year deal.
  12. I don't know if there's a way around Hill's contract as he has something like 37-38 for 2 years that's somewhat evenly balanced. With 2 years to go they probably won't look into an extension due to injury risks and such. Mahomes' contract is the more likely source of cap space if they want to go that route.
  13. HB's contract is probably the key. Not only saves up a lot of cap but also locks down the position for quite a while. Due to his tweet a couple weeks back I'm not sure if it's going to happen but we'll see, might just be something to trigger Veach to start or speed up the talks. Without an extension to HB I don't know if Jones trade is possible without a whole new contract which could mean giving up less draft capital than Atlanta is looking for.
  14. First of all, f*** you! Not even sure if I need to censor it for such a title. Secondly great news, now that Mahomes has a healthy toe and something resembling a line in front of him another SB should be on the horizon. Hopefully against Brady, need to take revenge.
  15. All we can do is be optimistic with the lack of WR depth but Hardman better make us eat some crow this year.
  16. Takes a whole other level of talent on its own. May be this is the magic year we see Hardman turn into a WR, for some reason it's supposed to take a while in Reid's scheme.
  17. On paper he doesn't seem to be anything more than a camp body but you never know.
  18. Obviously not as much as Smith era but I think we have seen quite a bit of those check downs in 2020. Mahomes will always take the risks and Reid will call the trick plays but in general I think Chiefs were much more conservative as opposed to the previous 2 seasons with Mahomes.
  19. Unfortunately not all players with question marks pan out. However Chiefs have been more willing to take such risks by doing that extra homework. Houston was a great pick, Hill was a steal, the jury is up for the rest but there's a decent chance to get solid players out of a few of them. I would also add Foles to that list. Teams weren't willing to take the risk and his career looked all but over until Reid revived it in KC which led to a SB win. So in terms of the rehabilitation Chiefs may have a much better culture than others give credit for.
  20. That was a doomed season. If I'm not mistaken we lost Charles in the first few weeks as well against Denver.
  21. Looking at that list and the reports about him Smith is likely a star if his health issues don't become problematic. Obviously the doctors know the best but if he doesn't have a condition stopping him from playing I think we'll have a huge steal in our hands.
  22. Could be his body type but sure isn't one that inspires confidence. He could be a star lineman for all we know but due to some bad experiences with Chiefs rookies in the past I can't help but be skeptical about his shape. Until 2 years ago football life was full empty for me 🙄
  23. Not sure about how much his tits were bouncing in college, didn't really know he existed until we drafted him. However it's always better to be on the safe side, a rookie coming out of an injury with a big gut after over a year removed from football is always a question mark until he proves otherwise.
