  1. Seems like a late 1st early 2nd type of prospect, surprised but happy that he lasted so long. Getting a solid day one starter without packaging the pick is a home run.
  2. Brown - Thuney - Creed - LDT/Long - Niang. If Brown is extended we could have decent consistency for quite a while, pretty sure Mahomes will love it. I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Forsythe is the pick in 4th if he lasts until then. Veach showed that he wants to erase the SB line from history.
  3. Teams look for different things in a prospect and their needs/priorities lead to some unexpected decisions.
  4. This is definitely the smartest draft by Veach so far. Obviously we never know the production but he focused on the areas of need and took solid prospects instead of flashy positions/guys while doing so. Not sure if Humphrey starts from day one but wouldn't be surprised if he does and Bolton looks like everything Hitchens isn't. If Gay can pick up the defense as well we'll have a nice young duo going forward.
  5. Could be an interesting option if he makes it through camp but I wouldn't consider any guy a lock to take over someone at this point. Need as many bodies as we can find and let them battle it out.
  6. A bit out of context but when was the last time Chiefs had a decent OG and OT playing next to each other?
  7. They are all guys that we need but I would be the happiest with Meinerz and Tremble.
  8. I was hoping for another non-QB pick by the idiot duo
  9. They probably heard about Tebow's return. Heard somewhere that he's the only QB drafted by Broncos to win a playoff game for the team in quite a while. May be they are contemplating a reunion.
  10. Chiefs have only 2 linemen under contract for 2022 worth anything. It'll be 3 with Brown's extension in the summer or next offseason assuming he'll play ball. That leaves 2 spots open with OC being a major need already. The only reason we went 14-2 is Mahomes, and the only way to repeat last couple seasons is protecting Mahomes. Veach already showed that he's aware of the major need and will likely add linemen in the draft. Wouldn't be surprised if those guys come in the 2nd.
  11. I followed the picks online but there's really no incentive for me to watch with no Chiefs' pick. Never believed in the possibility of trading up to 1st but I'll probably go with NFL Network today.
  12. Not sure if anyone explicitly wants an OG and OC but I'm pretty sure everyone would be content with nothing but OL after last year's disaster.
  13. Dickerson is very intriguing but injuries are always scary, wouldn't mind going with another option. Frankly I consider Dickerson, Meinerz, Humphrey, Myers all viable options in 2nd and I think at least one would be available in 3rd if we decide to trade down.
  14. He could easily have DRob or Hardman, trust me there's nothing to pay for either of them. LJ has more interceptions than touchdowns when he matters and consistently keeps failing to take charge in the playoffs. It's much easier to maintain a misleading accuracy percentage when the guy is scared to actually let the ball go. Not to mention the 55% or something in the playoffs. LJ may end up being a smarter Vick but that would be him really overachieving and so far doesn't seem to be on the right track. That being said he definitely deserves at most 2% less than Mahomes, please pay him.
  15. Mobility is basically what's keeping LJ's passing game alive but he has neither the accuracy nor the arm strength to be an effective passer when it really matters. I see him leading the Ravens to the playoffs as long as he can stay healthy but nothing further. There's always the possibility of ending like RG3.
  16. I think it'll be more valuable than any pick this year as teams will actually get to scout players. This year any player might end up being a fluke.
  17. There's no draft capital to move to 1st unless we send a solid player packing but the draft itself is always fun to watch. Love to see some top prospects fall
  18. What's all this urge to find a winner? Trades aren't zero-sum games where one side wins only if the other side loses. Both sides had valid reasons to pull the trigger and got what they wanted. Obviously both sides would prefer to get more out of the deal but this is the middle ground they agreed upon.
  19. If I'm not mistaken he was playing hurt the whole time, injuries reflect on the performances of bigger guys more than others so nothing unexpected.
  20. Might as well take Hardman out of the equation and lower it to something like a 2022 4th 🙄
  21. The cap can always be managed, there seems to be infinite number of ways to find around it. However I'm not really sold on giving up picks for a guy that will still make some decent money. Instead of paying an aging Jones this much I would prefer to pay a guy like Juju 30 million over 3 years even though Jones has been much better when healthy. Thanks to Mahomes I think the Chiefs are in a position to get discount on older receivers without rings. Also what do the Falcons want?
  22. Could be going for an OT to kick someone else inside. Regardless if the draft class is actually as deep as advertised I think a 3rd day OT prospect to become the swing tackle after Remmers leaves is more likely. Anything before that would probably be a negative about Niang at this point.
