  1. Never heard of him so don't know what to expect but might just be a stopgap in case our new OC pick isn't ready from day one.
  2. I would prefer TE2 to be the higher investment in the draft assuming Chiefs want to add a rookie receivers. We have nothing behind Kelce and a big guy in the middle would be a bigger addition than another WR we have to wait for years to do something.
  3. Definitely gets overlooked as there's a lot of time until TC but I'm curious about Wharton's role with Reed coming to town. Jones and Reed are the definite duo for obvious passing downs but Wharton showed a lot of promise to be overlooked. I wonder if he ends up rushing from the edge instead of Jones in some downs as Jones is very comfortable commanding double teams up the middle. Regardless this looks to be a scary unit for obvious passing downs and I imagine Clark can only get better after 2020 and Taco will definitely look to bounce back.
  4. Right now I'm leaning towards the best LT in 1st, someone like Myers in 2nd for OC and an OG in 4th at the latest. Pick a LB and a WR or TE with the 3rd and 4th and stack up on whomever is worth with the remaining 4 picks, assuming Chiefs hang on to them.
  5. Forgot all about Kpass, glad he's getting a multi-year deal. We sure wasted a couple years of his career in a weird system but had higher hopes for him after the switch to 4-3.
  6. That sucks. He would be an excellent mentor to the youngsters as well, who knows may be Hardman can learn to play WR watching him and I'm pretty sure Pringle would only get better with a guy like Fitz around.
  7. TBH I would really love to see Fitzgerald in KC, he's not as athletic as before but could be a very good possession receiver for Mahomes. I doubt he would be the definite #2 due to his age but he doesn't really miss games. I don't know what his health situations is but always liked Dede Westbrook as a smart version of Tate. If he didn't have a ring I imagine Brown could behave but not sure about right now. Goodwin is definitely worth a shot IMO but could want a long term deal.
  8. Don't know about specific names that would be targeted but there still seems to be some names worth a shot: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/ Goodwin, Brown, Tate all seem like viable options for short term deals but I'm sure there will be some new FAs coming in once the roster shuffling starts after the draft.
  9. Rather than just obvious passing downs I wouldn't be surprised if Jones ends up at DE on some not-definite passing downs as well. Could be a nice change of pace for opposing linemen.
  10. I think Chiefs will end up bringing in a FA as the #2 WR. We'll likely draft one as well but doubt he'll have a big role early on.
  11. Very weird and interesting signing. Reed is a stud and had a similar situation to Clark in Seattle in terms of long term deal but I wouldn't expect him to sign a 1-year deal as there would be a lot of buyers willing to give up something in the long term. I guess they really pissed him off and Veach moved in very quick but still a very surprising move.
  12. There's always hope of being a starter for any FA brought in so I'm not sure how high they are on him but he could definitely end up being a dark horse to start this year. LB corps has been a disaster for the Chiefs so any new blood could end up being an upgrade.
  13. If healthy Schwartz still has quite a bit of solid years in him, definitely the better OT. However Okung at LT might be very useful in the short term. To be honest I wouldn't mind both assuming Schwartz is healthy.
  14. Actually he seems to have gotten backup QB money 🤔
  15. The staff should get whomever they want at vet minimum, can always be cut if they find someone better in the draft or FA.
  16. Right now the only downside is a few guys that actually own enough to tank the value whenever they feel like it. Crypto is here to stay in the long run, and I bet the banks are trying to find a way in the whole thing as well.
  17. I bet that nickname is giving every DB some nightmares.
  18. Definitely, if we enter the draft with an immediate need at LT and OC we might end up using multiple picks for each position. There seems to be some nice talent at OT that won't be ready to start soon according to the "experts", would be nice to have the flexibility to go for the best option instead of the immediate guy.
  19. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/03/25/kansas-city-chiefs-2021-free-agency-left-tackle-russell-okung-interest/ At this point I think Okung would be a solid addition. 1-year stopgap but we still would need to draft LT early as his health is always a concern and we need someone to take over in 2022.
  20. We don't need a star receiver. Hill is already that and Kelce is the best in the business. We simply need a 2nd tier guy if we are going for a FA or a decent rookie who can contribute in the short term. Unless there's a veteran WR we could bring in for a 5th or later I wouldn't consider any trades at this point.
  21. I would much rather enter the draft with an obvious need at OC rather than pay Reiter even that much. Mack got around 5 million per year, I doubt any GM wants to pay Reiter even half that much.
  22. I'm fine with Breeland as long as he can learn to keep his hands in check and we offer him a modest amount.
  23. Obviously Hudson would have been the biggest pick up in FA if available but among the names that actually became FAs and Chiefs shown interest I think JuJu is the only player I would prefer to have in KC. The rest are good players as well but JuJu paired with Hill and Kelce in the middle would fix the receiving game for a while and would give us the flexibility to go for a TE in the draft.
  24. There sure is a lot of young talent but I wouldn't be surprised if Ward loses some playing time this year. If he bounces back to his 2019 form he'll be gold but I think 2020 was a better indication of his capabilities. Still he's a young player who can get better.
