  1. Good thing there are some moves Chiefs can make to relieve cap space but 182.5 is still too low IMO. Would love a setup where they keep it the same in expense of future raises.
  2. He needs to be on the field to get to "second tier" right now he's at "IR tier".
  3. There's like a week to start the new league year, GMs will need to cut/restructure guys pretty fast. Some surprise FAs could emerge all of a sudden.
  4. There seems to be quite a bit of money going around in the NFL, not sure if we can land any FAs unless some are dying to get rings.
  5. They talk about the cap being at least $180M but anything above that is set to be determined, not sure when they'll announce it but we are way over regardless.
  6. I'm fine with giving up the naming rights. More money to pay for coaches, facilities, stadium upgrades, etc.
  7. A great player that's extremely underused. Sad to see him leave but with the lack of decent role at FB throughout the NFL I guess this shouldn't be a surprise. May be they start utilizing a second TE as FB on some downs but I think a single RB will be the primary setup.
  8. I know he's written down as a RT but is that definitive? Also where does Niang end up at OT, if we already have our LT then a guy for the right side makes a lot of sense with #32. I would prioritize OC but wouldn't mind any OT in 1st.
  9. I think sudden death was more fun but taking out the FG in the first drive sure is more fair.
  10. Shouldn't take this long to confirm it but haven't heard anything yet. I think it'll be official one way or the other during the trial.
  11. With a permanent brain damage for the little girl I hope they go after the a$$hole. There's no excuse for DUI.
  12. True, there's not much a player can do behind this line and even if he does some decent work Reid can still ignore the run game any time.
  13. If there's a buyer willing to give up a solid pick/player I'm still on board but as long as he's around they'll use him as the featured back. Could have been different if Williams was in town last season but now I don't think there's going back.
  14. I remember Conklin jumping up the draft boards in the offseason and the combine. With such a hectic offseason we could land a similar prospect assuming the scouting group did their job well during the year under these circumstances.
  15. Williams would have been very exciting in 2020 after his playoff performance but not sure if he'll be back on the roster now with CEH well established. Definitely a solid guy to have around but saves a couple million if released. Hopefully Niang is everything already advertised and may be more. Need him to be solid from day one. LDT is a question mark as he won't be cut due to his dead money and the injuries we have to deal with but I wonder if he actually comes back if given another chance to sit out, also curious about his shape at that age away from football for a year dealing with the hectic medical schedule.
  16. Already done with Wylie in my head and I don't think sitting out a year will help an aging LDT at all. Definitely need to find some alternatives.
  17. Yep, IMO it's a matter of which one to draft first and which one second and that's basically up to whomever is available in what round.
  18. It's true that no all players peak at the same time and it seems to vary more for fatties. However players should be showing enough progress early on to warrant the future investment. Wylie has been terrible as a starter ever since he took over and I don't think progressed at all. Fisher is basically a classical 2nd 3rd round guy that became 1st overall due to a terrible draft class and his progression is in line with a 2nd day pick but even Fisher showed decent performances on the right side as a rookie. I think Wylie is a career backup at best but if he can actually show more somewhere that's simply good for him but I don't think he earns the label "future starter".
  19. Up to this year neither missed serious time with injuries and Niang looks like he was drafted to be a future starter. So 2020 may have just been a bad luck in terms of management, I don't think it lingers to 2021. Normally entering a season with the best RT in the NFL at age 30 and a decent LT at age 29 with a 3rd round pick hanging around as the swing tackle isn't a bad option. Obviously would have and should have gone a different route with earlier picks after what we know but that's just hindsight.
  20. After making so much money surprised to see him choose Arizona. I haven't read about any specific offers but expected him to leave some money on the table for a team like Packers or Bills over a definite long shot.
  21. Extension to HB is a no brainer, saves as much cap space as needed. Glad to hear Veach understand how consistently Wylie sucks, I don't want to contemplate the alternative.
  22. The only difference between #32 and #33 is the 5th year option which might be very important if you have a QB that needs time to develop before paying him. Otherwise any player selected around there is expected to be a decent starter so the value for the pick shouldn't be that much. It's more of a leverage thing IMO when trading down as some teams want that 5th year option. However the rounds themselves seem to have different meaning for some people. 1st and 2nd seem to be further apart than #32 and #33 when people are talking about it, so the round itself generally refers to something like a pick around the middle.
