  1. I was expecting Hardman to be what DMC couldn't in the long run but he turned out to be a dumber version of DAT with much better speed. I think he'll be a career #4 but still needs to fix a lot of things to actually warrant such a role. Toub used to be a star but I don't get why he just brings these guys up so aggressive, the additional few yards aren't worth the risk with Mahomes around and the risks don't seem to be paying off very well in the last couple seasons.
  2. So far this year any game we have been nervous ended up being a walk in the park. Sort of a paradox but feeling nervous is very relaxing right now
  3. Forgot all about his toe, could be a big issue if he loses mobility. OL needs to step up today.
  4. There's always the possibility of missing out on the better candidate, because the guy doesn't want to join or other teams picks them up, etc. I don't understand how guys like Gase or Jackson regularly find gigs but availability seems to be "sexy" for some GMs/owners I guess.
  5. If Williams repeats last week's performance then Mahomes will torch the Bills. I expect a bigger margin than the regular season.
  6. It would lose way too much time for the bad teams that are trying to recover. NFL isn't in the business of fairness towards coaching candidates but rather getting TV money which means every team needs to have hope for competitiveness. If a team is willing to wait for a better candidate they can probably handle business until that guy becomes available as coaches rarely do scouting which is the critical thing this time of the year.
  7. Not sure how the injury is going but used to be a decent player. He's versatile enough to play any interior position but could end up being a nice stop gap at OC. If healthy I can see him being around and considering our injury status getting some starts in 2021.
  8. It's clear teams are simply skeptical about OC's role in KC due to Reid calling the shots. NFL really wants EB hired for some diversity among coaches and the public is trying to make it a race thing but we are talking about a guy who has been the OC for 2 seasons and has been in the spotlight even less so we may be seeing his hire more of a sure thing than it really should be.
  9. Schwartz restructured his deal last summer making it fully guaranteed except for a couple million for 2021.
  10. In the short term LJ provides great value to most teams. He can somehow move the chains and with a decent crew around him he can lead a team to the playoffs. However once in the playoffs there's not much he can really do. He'll also start struggling on his way to the playoffs as the team won't be able to surround him with a decent crew due to his cost. IMO a solid running QB like LJ is the perfect example of a 7 to 9 win guy every season throughout his veteran career.
  11. Forget Allegretti, who may or may not be better, Reid's loyalty is sitting Kilgore out who we all know to be better than Reiter within this lineup. Being a players' coach has some serious advantages but also has some downsides as we are currently suffering.
  12. Not sure if any of it makes a difference. Mahomes is in concussion protocol and if there's nothing wrong with him then he'll be able to clear the protocols by the Bills game, if there's something wrong then we are screwed regardless of the reasoning. I just wish the Chiefs were vocal about his status but I understand how they could want to leverage it against the Bills.
  13. If EB is staying Seattle might be too good for Kafka to pass up. A stud QB with some nice offensive weapons. I don't think Chiefs allow him to interview with the current QB situation and if EB is leaving he likely won't get to interview anywhere.
  14. Pretty much every player on the line had some stupid penalty and Reiter was a no show in some plays. They generally did well blocking up the field in some runs but other than that I thought it was the same crappy OL we have been watching all year long. I think the Browns DL being a one man show may have been misleading.
  15. Mahomes will likely play this week and we didn't lose the game with him out so this should simply be a great wake up call that helps the Chiefs both in the short and the long run assuming Mahomes doesn't have any lingering issues from the hit. Mahomes is very competitive and will do whatever it takes to win, which includes risking himself but we are always one play away from losing out and should remember that we might have the best QB but he's still human and has some physical limitations.
  16. A decent tackle with a guy like Dunn next to him is basically a guarantee in short runs.
  17. Robinson running towards the correct end zone is already a huge plus.
  18. You mean a guy throwing his 3rd pass ever in the playoffs
  19. Didn't Chiefs already allow EB to do interviews or are they referring to taking on the job right away?
  20. Jets don't really get a guy going on offense and Bell sure is rusty but with a decent offseason I think he can get back to his old self. Still not worth investing with just a promise.
  21. The scariest thread possible, yet we definitely need one.
  22. Did they introduce an exception to the PS to active roster rule?
  23. I think he would be an asset and the Chiefs would love to keep him around. He's a very talented player that can be a difference maker with the right tools around him. I just don't think it's a realistic chance for the Chiefs though as we don't have enough cap space to justify someone like him as pressing needs will divert any available cash to other positions.
  24. I don't see a scenario where Bell would want to stay in KC. He's here for a ring and a chance to showcase his skill for the next paycheck but it's clear that the ceiling for him is a committee guy for #2 RB behind CEH and there won't be money to justify it. Some GM will give Bell a decent 1-year deal to make him the top guy in the backfield and he'll leave.
