Thursday night football is already terrible on its own, putting a meaningless game just makes is unbearable.

I don't expect this one to be easy but also Mahomes might be motivated after the worst statistical game of his career, which was a great day for most QBs. I think the defense shows up with better motivation but I don't see our offense doing that much with this OL. 24-20 Chiefs.

Let's just hope they are being cautious. Otherwise so many lingering back issues would point to bigger issues within the staff. The weird thing is we look for athletes rather than old fashioned fatties at the line but face as many injuries, if not more, in comparison.

I don't know if there's another level of it for athletes but normally a tight back should be taken care of rather soon.

Well we have a winner leading the team so it should be the norm for us. I wouldn't imagine Chiefs offending anyone but with all the sensitivity going on I cannot be sure. I love the name and will probably keep supporting the team if it decides to become a whole new franchise but I don't like the idea of changing a name that seems to be perfectly fine.

New NFL rules simply mean a star QB and the rest will be fine and we may have the best ever in that regard. As long as Mahomes is upright this team will be a force to be reckoned with regardless of how we do in other areas. Chiefs have failed to cover the spread in a lot of games while leading the NFL in point difference, that's how dominant Mahomes makes us, even when we are bad we are still favorites over everyone.

At this point I'm glad they are allowing fans but at this capacity I"m not sure how much they will charge for the tickets.

Is that enough or do they need some extra approvals afterwards? I imagine the county health department would be fine with social distancing making it like a 3rd of the capacity.

We are at the point of a franchise where top veterans will come in for pocket change just to get a ring. Need to take advantage of that.

Statistically Mahomes is still leading the pack and he's the #1 fantasy player which could be somewhat of an indicator even if not a definitive thing. However Rodgers has a really solid vibe backing him lately, which he deserves, so it likely comes down to making fewer mistakes going forward.

Steelers have been exposed so unless Big Ben has a monster game they aren't really contenders at this point, but he's the best QB out of the bunch and could impact any game. I think Bills are the best among all 4 in 2021 but right now they don't seem ready, still a tough game but Chiefs win that one. Titans looked to be better last year than this time around, I think we can handle them too but Henry can go off any time which is always a concern. Rivers is simply Rivers, he'll find a way to lose in the playoffs so not that big of a concern IMO. Houston looks like he was waiting to play in 4-3, I don't like him against Fisher as we could face quite a bit of issues there.

Would be great to keep Ogbah but definitely not realistic. I think Taco comes back, there won't be a decent market for him so another 1-year deal is very likely in a system he got to learn. I don't think anything changes this year, we can't even replace Reither with a relatively decent option so it's more of a futuristic discussion if I'm not missing anything.

It's all about the progress IMO. If we find a starting OC I'm fine with Danna being limited on some situations, can't really fix them all at once and OL is causing much more problems than the DL. We could still add some FAs and spend mid rounds picks but OL coaching seems to be terrible so far so we need more day one starters than any other position IMO.

Not saying there's any talk about moving Wharton but he looks like a solid option with his size and the ability to tackle. He might be able to do what Speaks was supposed to for the line. That being said we still need additions to the DL, I just don't think it's as critical as the OL. Mahomes has been running for his life a lot and we can't really allow him to get hit so often. Besides a solid OL will help us score and make average defensive ends look much better when the opposition has to go to the air.

Danna looks to be coming alone nicely and I wouldn't rule out Wharton moving there full time. DE might not be a priority but we definitely need depth at DL in mid rounds to replace the guys leaving. Don't know what the prospects are but I'm still in favor of 3 linemen with the first 3 picks with a starter at OC in 1st (assuming a top talent is available).

I think he'll win a few more especially after we fix the OL. Until then it'll always be a close call but not always possible due to scheduling and circumstantial sit outs (like the last game etc).

A decent player at RG will directly impact the RT. Wiz starting there will definitely be a boost but at some point we'll need the RT to stand his own.

I don't think Mahomes win the MVP after this game. Don't really care either but all other players will always have the edge over him as NFL is trying to look as if there's some competition. So whatever someone else does Mahomes needs to be clearly more dominant over them in all stats to actually win it.

I didn't like what I saw from Durant at all. I wouldn't mind looking for street FAs at this point or may be the raiding some practice squads. All the posts about Kilgore at OC are just too funny. Unless some of you guys are planning on kidnapping Reiter he's not going anywhere, we are stuck with him.

A realistic expectation would be a 3rd IMO but if we find a way to sweeten the deal a late 2nd is always a possibility but Fisher isn't making it easy for Veach. Nevertheless short term needs sometimes increase the price for a player and we might find the right team in that regard.

Exactly, I'm sure Hunt didn't pay Mahomes half a billion to be a punching bag and already told Veach his job this offseason. With a decent OL Mahomes will be making lame receivers look like stars for years to come and good ones hall of famers but we simply cannot let him run for his life every single down and get frustrated.
