  1. Like everyone else I have no idea what the draft holds in terms of punters. If there's the next Colquitt available we could use the extra money saved by letting Townsend leave but the kid is a decent punter and would be nice to keep around. I don't know about him as a holder, that part is for Toub to analyze but at least as a pure punter he earned an extension.
  2. Decent kid and looks quite humble. Will only get better and that'll be trouble for quite a lot of QBs. I like the fact that he's more than just a pure pass rusher, definitely held his ground against the run as well.
  3. Didn't he skip the rookie season with an injury? COVID was the official excuse but the talk was that he was injured and would already miss most of the season, if not all. I liked him better than Wylie in 2021 but also Wylie progressed quite well for a veteran. I still think Niang has better upside and should be able to overtake at RT if he actually improved but I'm not sure if the staff already trusts him to do so. I wouldn't mind if he ends up being a decent swing tackle, which is a critical need as well.
  4. Heard in bunch of places. The most recent is the KCSN podcast which is the source for the number. Never thought he would be worth so much and still don't believe it but I guess "experts" see something else in him.
  5. At least looking from outside Allen seems to be the most modest QB in the rest of AFC. He seems more respectful and understanding to the fact that Mahomes is the best. Sure he wants to overtake and become the guy but at least he looks like a nice guy with ambitions instead of a douche.
  6. From what I've seen everyone EB worked with as the RB coach is very happy with him. His tenure as the OC is the questionable one by the fans. However Shady is simply pissed at being a backup's backup in KC.
  7. Didn't follow Lewan's injury history but if healthy that would be a great signing. I can see him getting a lot of incentives in a new deal that will come rather soon. In terms of OBJ I don't see much of an impact as OBJ won't be resigned until much later.
  8. If the numbers mentioned are correct he probably packed up already. They are saying 8-10 million per year.
  9. I don't think they interviewed anyone before promoting EB but the rule changed rather recently. However I doubt NFL would want to complicate the appointment of a minority coach.
  10. I'm guessing he has more shot at incentives than a decent deal from day one. Needs to stay healthy and perform for a t least a full year before getting paid. I think KC will give him the same treatment they give other in-house WRs, test the market and come back cheap for a year if you can't find anything.
  11. I thought the promotions were an exception to the RR but then again mock interviews don't make the news a lot. Should do something among the staff I guess not to waste anyone's time.
  12. Great read, physical playcalling opened up the OL and Eagles were definitely not ready for it. I don't think any team could be in this pass-happy state of the NFL.
  13. It's just bad broadcasting assuming it wasn't intentional. There's an angel that puts the entire argument to bed but they don't show it but instead create controversy. A clear hold that nobody can argue against turns into a big help from the refs in the ignorant public eye.
  14. Need to draft a replacement that will start on the right side this year and take over after this one. OBJ is a guaranteed tag IMO and I don't see him staying beyond the tag. If he doesn't play nice with the tag the rookie may need to start earlier than expected. Not sure if there are any stop gap FAs available.
  15. Even last year's figures looked to be an overpay, I hope they don't do it this time around.
  16. I'm curious about what the asking price for OBJ would be in case of a tag & trade. I doubt any team would sign him outright after the non-exclusive tag but Veach would definitely be tempted with a decent offer/picks.
  17. I think we need to draft an OT regardless. RT is a mess and a decent swing tackle is a must. Don't know what Niang's status is or will be but we need someone reliable in the mix. I don't mind going OT twice in the first two days. Regarding OBJ, he only made money this year so could have the option to sign as late as possible but don't know if it helps his FA status at all. May be if a trade is on the table?
  18. Does assistant head coach mean anything in terms of the official role? If we get any picks out of this that would be sweet but not getting my hopes up. For now I'm glad we moved on, let others get a shot.
  19. In the end it comes down to whomever they think can be replaceable. Creed is a top OC as early as in his second season. I think he should remain with a top OC contract. The WR is much easier to replace but Juju is still useful and could be a decent option for the right amount. I think the only real debate is Brown who isn't a top LT but decent enough when there's no better option available in the market. So do they tag him for another year, if so that will determine what we do with some other FAs like Juju in terms of the finances. I believe Jones will be cheaper this year after signing an extension that will bring his cap number back up in a couple years when we have to worry about some OL extensions. I don't think guys like Hardman, Wylie, etc should stay. We have a bunch of players worth vet minimum deals but anything higher will just be overpaying. Should instead look to fill those spots through the draft.
  20. I believe we are already the front-runners for it. We don't have to lose anyone critical unless the staff wants to send someone packing and there's a bunch of decent picks to work with in the draft. The youngsters will only get better and Mahomes is Mahomes.
  21. Leaving with 2 SB rings, HOF coming up 😎 I was expecting Smith to be on the coaching staff by now but who knows may be Henne starts as early as this year. Based on Mahomes' comments about him in the past he's definitely a coaching material.
  22. NFL belongs to Mahomes and they need to pray for some alternative narratives.
  23. Would be a great match-up to kick things off but not sure if NFL will look to play that card so early in the season.
  24. Curious if any team ever made it to the SB with so many rookies starting.
