  1. With the move to Vegas they don't really feel like a rival football team any more. We should go up early and just chill out, something like 40-10 should be enough.
  2. Reid seems to be going rather conservative with the playcalling in some games. Not sure if he wants other areas to develop or keep some tricks for the playoffs but overall I'm expecting to see such offensive performances repeat this year unless Reid feels the urgency.
  3. Kelce is a special breed and an all around great player. The "GOAT" status seems to be thrown around quite often lately, not sure if Kelce is at that level yet but frankly I don't think we can actually know about that when a player is actively playing. I think it mostly relies on recognition of that greatness when the player is no longer around.
  4. NBA basically started in an extremely controlled environment with only a handful of guys missing. NFL is already under way with quite a few players already missing and not sure what will happen when they come back. Would they allow Cam to enter the "camp" after a quarantine? They can eventually opt to push forward no matter what but similar to NBA it won't be anywhere close to a real season experience.
  5. I still believe this season will be cancelled at some point. If not it'll be just a step up from a filler with quite a bit of critical names sitting out due to positive results.
  6. Never on paper but there were some brutal losses like the playoffs against NE with Smith at QB. Not sure if I can think of an example with Mahomes at QB though, even in losses Andy seems to come up with some competitive creativity that keeps it close.
  7. It's very clear that Hitchen's Dallas performance was a product of the system that really fooled us. Even if Gay turns out to be a solid starter at some point we still need to invest in the position with some decent cash or a high pick. We have been drafting mostly for potential but there should be some guys in there for immediate impact as well. Hopefully defense steps up with Pennel's return and we take some of the load from the LBs but overall this group is very dismal.
  8. Not sure if there were any reports/columns about that being a bad idea.
  9. If we simply force Jackson to play QB in the conventional game this might be a rather easy one, need to get ahead early on and keep on scoring.
  10. Chiefs have been the team to beat in AFC West for quite a while. We don't really observe the process a lot but all 3 teams enter the offseason with a single goal in mind, hence the tougher mindset.
  11. Chiefs simply underestimated the Chargers and almost paid the price, however it should be different against the Ravens. Pennel coming back will be a huge boost to the DL against the run and I'm guessing everyone will be much more motivated.
  12. Our front 7 just cannot tackle to save their lives. We need any sort of upgrade at LB, throw in street FAs if needed.
  13. I really like Holmes but not that realistic to see him go in, the same goes for Waters. He didn't bounce back at a top level after the all-pro line was dissolved. Realistically I don't see any Chiefs making it this year besides Allen but who knows.
  14. There's also no guarantee that it's due to going to the game but fear is much stronger than reason.
  15. Not that NFL is a lot of fun with a handful of fans it's still much better to have a few than none IMO after watching on Sunday. I hope this doesn't reflect bad on the decision to allow fans but it's very likely that NFL will mandate no fans in games at some point during this season.
  16. I think the end score will get closer at garbage time with Reid slowing down a bit and rotating players. 30-21 is my guess with most of those 21 points for Chargers coming in 4th.
  17. I think the primary thing about home field is playing in a geographical environment that the team got used to. Colder or higher altitude environments have been major issues to some teams.
  18. Mahomes really likes Robinson, and so does Reid. I'm guessing he's one of those guys that light it up in practice. However after the week 1 performances I'm expecting some of his role diminishing rather quickly. Overall Robinson has been considered more of a possession receiver while Hardman has been used like an outside threat as well as "offensive weapon" similar to DMC or DAT, I don't think their roles are interchangeable but we could see some changes in the scheme with Hardman getting more looks.
  19. He was never so vague about others as he was about Berry and we all know how that turned out. Also the bad case always gets precedence, because Chiefs.
  20. I'm guessing Mahomes loses some mobility by then but Chiefs put the best OL ever built in front of him so he can just stand in the pocket and launch rockets throughout the field. Mahomes at 50% arm strength will still be lethal and that's a long way from now.
