No, there's no debate there. The cap situation and contract handling is much better. This next draft I just want to see the Chiefs stand pat and let the draft fall to them and if anything, trade down and pick up more chances at getting good players.

Oh i was fine with the Clark trade I was referring to trading up in the draft to get project players like Hardman and Speaks.

The only criticism I have of Veach or what's happened with him in the draft is the trading up for players that are projects. Maybe it's a Reid thing because they did it with KPass, but trading up for guys like Hardman and Speaks were a mistake. They coulda had other guys come in and do the same things by just standing pat and not giving up picks to move up.

This is my one criticism of Veach. He shouldn't be trading up for these players, especially for players that need alot of development like Speaks and Hardman. If anything you trade back for more picks or just let the draft fall to you. There was no need to trade up for Speaks or Hardman.

I heard an amazing stat yesterday in that the Chiefs haven't lost a game by more than 2 scores since week 4 of the 2016 season. It was a SNF game in Pittsburgh where we got blown out. I agree, it was a bad game with a ton of injuries. We weren't going 16-0 anyway so might as well get a reality check now and move forward. Good teams learn and get better.

He's literally played every game since he was drafted. Players get hurt, scraped up and injured and alot of it is luck, really. Trading him for this reason is pretty dumb TBH. I know people are upset with the loss today, but sheesh let's just take a step back here. I don't think the Chiefs are in any position or have the luxury of trading away the good players on defense they do have.

Turnovers but the KC defense in a bind. All 3 turnovers were in KC's own territory.

I'm not trying to make excuses but expecting this defense to be a top 10 unit isn't realistic. Even if they were on their way to that, we wouldn't be seeing it now. It's just too early. It's only been 4 weeks and 3 of those games were on the road. We do need CB help but I'm not worried about other guys like Clark and Honey Badger. They've been good players and there's no reason they won't be here.

Good come back win. Did not play well at all, all 3 phases were bad. Still put 34 points, with 3 turnovers, on the road and won the game. We still need help at CB. Hopefully DEN wins today and puts JAX in sell mode for Ramsey. We could really use it. Chiefs' coaches will use this game as motivation because we really didn't deserve to win. All 3 phases were bad today. Going forward every punt should be a fair catch. Risking a fumble and chance for Mahomes to score is just not worth it. Plus, most of the returns come back on holding anyway. Same with kick returns. Never return it unless caught at the 1 yard line. Offense was off today, timing with WRs and our run game was hit and miss. Defense was up and down as well. Made some plays then gave up plays. Biggest weakness on defense is still not making a play on 50/50 balls. 50/50 balls are completed 90% of the time against the Chiefs it seems. Overall, very glad we got the win, the Chiefs are a really good team. The TD drive to win the game was perfect and didn't leave DET much chance at the end although DET did get it to the 50 for a hail mary chance twice lol. I think the Chiefs' coaches will be all over the Chiefs' player's asses this week and we see a better game out of them next Sunday at home against the Colts who gave up 31 to the Raiders and lost. One last thing to ponder as well today is this was already our 3rd road game and things just aren't going to go your way every game on the road.

I'm hoping this is the game Spags unleashes his blitz packages. Stafford is a statue to begin with and will be even less mobile with that bad hip. If the Lions decide to go to a short passing attack KC will need to be ready to make the tackle.

From what I've seen out of DET, they've taken advantage of other team's mistakes. PHI and the Chargers shot themselves alot and DET took full advantage. Chiefs don't make a whole lot of mistakes and I expect that to continue. KC 34 DET 24 Something like that. Our games have been pretty much the same. KC builds a 2-3 score lead and the team scores at the end to make it look closer.
