  1. Matt Moore has 2 wins to keep the season alive.
  2. right, 1 more year. I meant his contract expires in March 2021
  3. This is a great post. I saw someone on Twitter joking about how free agency is only 6 weeks away. Like Lukas said, usually by now we are all invested into researching free agency and the draft by 3 or 4 weeks gearing up for the off-season but getting to the Super Bowl has shrunk that wait time considerably.
  4. Is Chris Jones really going to get $100 million? A few things to remember... 1) Mahomes DOES NOT have to be extended this off-season. KC can wait. The $ isn't a big deal. He would've been the highest paid player anyway and this gives KC another 12 months to prepare for it. 2) The Chiefs could franchise tag Jones as well and have him play under that for 1 season if they had to.
  5. Congrats everyone, I didn't get a chance to post until today and just wanted to say SUPER BOWL!!!!!!
  6. Get ready for people to start attacking Mahomes. We all did it with Brady and Manning so we have to be able to put up with it now lol
  7. Honestly, it's too early to know. We'll have to see what happens with Brady and who they get at QB instead IF they were even to move on from Brady at all.
  8. Yes, relax. The Chiefs take it slow with this type of thing so I think by week 8 or 9 next season he'll be a full 100% to go. Don't worry if he misses training camp, pre-season and the start of the season next year.
  9. I think Lucas is a FA after this season. EDIT: Jordan Lucas is a free agent after this season: https://overthecap.com/player/jordan-lucas/4917/ I'm not sure KC will bring him back, I would rather bring back Kendall Fuller. Dirty Dan will probably stay through his current deal which expires after the 2020 season.
  10. He made a solid tackle on one of the 4th downs that I thought had Gordon short of the sticks. The bye week will help Spags work out the loss of Thornhill. My guess is though Kendall Fuller will take Thorhills' FT FS role/spot.
  11. It's hard what to know is the right choice. You don't want to kill momentum by resting literally everyone but at the same time you don't want to risk injury.
  12. As of yesterday O'Brien was claiming they were going to play starters and win the game but we'll see if that ends up happening. KC isn't losing to the Chargers. They're done and do not care. I would be surprised if they even showed up emotionally.
  13. Baltimore is definitely stacked and you have to wonder why more teams don't try to do what the Chargers, Chiefs and Browns have done defensively to slow them down. I don't know how many people in here can recall Brad Smith at Mizzou who was a tremendous runner, but good teams like OU and Texas would just rush 3 upfront and basically play zone with 5 DBs to limit running lanes and it worked all the time. Media is downplaying the injury to Mark Ingram as well. If he's not 100% by the playoffs that's a major issue for them.
  14. That won't happen this year. If you look around the league or watch national media stuff they are just NOW picking up on our defense coming around and seemed shocked when they present stats from our defense even going back to 6 weeks ago until now. In the small chance this would happen even next year, I think the Chiefs are grooming Brendan Daly to be the next DC. You can see alot of what the Patriots do on defense in our defense now.
  15. Our offense is so good they can pick and choose what to do. In a shoot out and need 35+ points? Ok, we can do that. Defense making stops and only need 24-28 points while chewing clock? Ok, we can do that. I think what we're seeing from the offense right now is an approach teams took to beat them earlier in the season; pick up 1st downs and run clock, keeping the defense rested and ready to make plays. With our defense improving each week, there's really no need to show all of our cards on offense. We basically went up to Foxboro with half an offensive game plan and still won walking away. It would've been nice to embarrass the Pats, but let's save that for the playoffs. I mean, look at the Bears game, we put up 27 points and didn't even target Hardman once.
  16. I had a hunch KC was looking at QBs that year in the draft and was hopeful they would get Mahomes. I would've been happy with Watson but it was clear Mahomes had more upside. I didn't want Trubisky because he had only played like 11 games in his college career before getting drafted. Of course no one could predict/see Mahomes playing at a MVP level his first year starter, but you could see the athletic abilities shine in college and he was the one I wanted to take a shot on.
  17. details? lol actually, I think that Win by the Texans knocked them out
