  1. 2019 7th round pick by the Colts. Pretty good pick up to give the Chiefs another project OL to develop with Allegreti.
  2. It was the wrong decision. They should've just suspended him and waited out NFL punishment. They did it with Tyreek Hill and that news was way worse. Everyone, including the Chiefs and myself, way overreacted to that video of Hunt. I don't care that he lied about or whatever the reason/justification the Chiefs had for cutting him was. We'd have him rested and healthy for the stretch run and could really use that right now.
  3. The Chiefs need to come into this game with some fire and focus. Emphasize stopping the run and pressuring Rivers. Rivers has been awful this year when pressured. If the Chiefs come out like the did against TEN and fiddle fart around with penalties and "Soft Zone Sutton" defense, they're going to lose and I'm going to be PISSED.
  4. No offense, but how can you or anyone else in here not see the similarities to the Chiefs' teams from the 90's under Schottenheimer? The only difference is we are now heavy on offense instead of defense back then. The same things happen every year. We have 2-3 mind boggling losses that cost us playoff seeding and then lose a close game in the playoffs. I understand we have Patrick Mahomes now but that's still not helping Reid manage the game or focus on defense.
  5. Look, I respect the opinion to keep Andy Reid but I want more playoff success and championships and after 19 seasons I think it's safe to say Reid can't get you there. If I end up wrong, great! But, up until now, you can't expect to win a Super Bowl with Reid because games like Sunday against TEN happen too often and happen in the playoffs as well. Just look at the dumb playoff losses we have with him already. It's not stupid to suggest moving on from him. Teams have done it with success in the past, just look within in the division at Denver or back in the day when TB fired Tony Dungy and then won it all next year with Gruden. Green Bay did it in 2009, PIT won a SB with Tomlin shortly after he was hired. This isn't a crazy off the wall notion.
  6. Dude, he cant win the big game. I dont care about division titles. We have done all that in the past. Winning in the playoffs and winning a super bowl is all that matters. Reid has been here 7 seasons and we've won 2 playoff games. Andy Reid is alao 1-5 in conference title games in his career. The Chiefs haven't won the Super Bowl in 50 years. With Patrick Mahomes its time to have a higher standard of winning.
  7. Andy Reid doesn't hold him accountable or things would change. Bob Sutton blew a 28 point lead in the playoffs and never had a good defense and it took Reid 6 years to fire him.
  8. We have Patrick Mahomes. We would have the pick of the litter for coaches and coordinators falling over themselves to coach him. Andy Reid and Schottenheimer are just good enough to get the playoffs and lose. It has nothing to do with my personal experience as a Chiefs fan, it's not my fault they cant win a super bowl. It's just the truth. And I'm not talking about just like 5 years coaching. Reid and Schottenheimer have coached for almost 20 years in the league without a championship. Theres a reason for it. I understand making a change would be hard and scary but its completely possible it would be the right move as well.
  9. I dont' disagree, but the video clearly shows there was no where for him to run with the ball.
  10. They had all the angles covered. Bell was right there as were all the defenders that knew it was coming.
  11. It made 0 sense. I thought after the last 3 games they'd use what worked in those games. I would've just treated them like the Broncos, stack the box and force the QB to make plays.
  12. Right, it worked then because we hadn't tried it before. I bet every team has practiced that scenario since and the Titans were ready for it. At 3rd and 2 you basically have 2 downs to get 2 yards and win the game. Run the damn ball. The Chiefs had just come off 3 straight run plays for 18 yards. It's not crazy they pick up 2-3 yards in 2 downs.
  13. No one knows. No reason was given. I mean I get they may still be trying things out and what works or not, but after the last 3 weeks how can you not just keep doing that?
  14. what about going 6-10 or 7-9 this year? I mean, it's not that crazy of a thing for that to have happen.
  15. It's 100% on Reid. He's the HC. I get some fans are scared of change in fear of getting worse, but Andy Reid's shortcomings never get changed. After failing to convert on a 4th and 17, the Titans had less than a 1% chance to win the game and won because Andy Reid can't manage the end of games. After taking over on downs, KC ran the ball for 10 yards and a 1st down. Then ran the ball twice for 8 yards setting up a 3rd and 2. The right call there is to run the ball and possibly even go for it on 4th down to seal the game. Getting cute and trying to fool the Titans with a play you've already ran this year was dumb. They recognized it immediately. Even with the FG being up 8 doesn't seal the game. The Titans still would have had a chance to win.
  16. This is his 19th season as a HC in the NFL and he has 0 Super Bowl wins. There's a reason for it and a good reason the Chiefs should move on. Again, the Broncos were the class of the division and after 2-3 years in a row of losing in the playoffs they fired John Fox and won the SB the next year. As fans we have the right to ask for better than where we are at. We've seen this from the Chiefs before, we need to be doing better and winning titles it's been way too long since we have. If Andy Reid, Brett Veach or whoever else can't get us there, move on and find the people that can.
  17. No, the Chiefs deactivated Mike Pennel and didn't play Ragland very much at all. They gave more snaps to Joey Ivie than Saunders and Nnadi. For whatever reasons, Spags went with a lighter defensive front against the Titans and it was completely the wrong decision.
  18. Uh no, Clark Hunt said over and over during Training Camp and the Pre-season this was a SB or bust season. If you watch "The Franchise" on YouTube put out by the Chiefs, in the first episode they showed Hunt talking to the team right before TC about how everyone in and around KC was stoked for the season and their 1 goal was to get to and win the Super Bowl, period. Andy Reid is just another Marty Schottenheimer. He's just good enough to get you to the playoffs and lose. He can't get us over the hump or we would have won a Super Bowl by now IMO.
  19. Fair question. But at this point in the season we wouldn't know who is available. Maybe at the end of the season we would have a better idea and could re-visit it then. I just think with Mahomes here the Chiefs would have their pick of the lot out of top NFL coaches, assistants and within CFB. The NFL is an offensive league and with Mahomes here we should be fine in scoring points and be fine finding an OC that we can score points with. We need a coach that can put together a defense and hold players and coaches accountable for their failures more than Reid will.
  20. Assuming the Chiefs don't win the Super Bowl, Clark Hunt needs to consider moving on from Reid. I know it's tough to think about, but with Mahomes the Chiefs would have their pick of top NFL and NCAA coaches. Just read and hear me out. The entire coaching staff was a disaster yesterday. All 3 phases were bad. That's on the HC. While at times the offense looked great yesterday, however, key penalties wiped out an easy TD that would have put KC up 14-0 and maybe the game changes from there? Penalties have been an issue this whole time with Reid. The offense also failed to salt the game away after they took over with like 1:50 left on the Titans' 40/35 yard line. Defense reverted back to it's conservative self. Spags' gameplan for the Titans was awful. I have no idea why they didn't carry over the the gamplans of the last 3 games to this one. Special Teams was a train wreck yet again. Penalties on returns and the 2 FG situations are completely unacceptable. I get Andy Reid is a great play designer and play caller(at times), but his game management is an issue. It's been 19 seasons and he hasn't won a Super Bowl. At what point do we move on from Andy Reid? He's been in KC since 2013 and we haven't gotten over the hump in those 7 seasons. We still see the same issues; conservative play-calling at the wrong times, poor clock/overall game management and stupid penalties. Remember, a few years back the Broncos kept coming up short with John Fox, fired him and won the Super Bowl the next season. This isn't unfathomable to suggest firing Reid.
  21. Spags didn't have the right defense for yesterday. I have no idea why, but the Chiefs looked to have come into the game more worried about their coverage packages than stopping the run. They were not stacking the box and had their LBs once again 5 yards off the LOS which gave Henry a chance to run downhill all game. It wasn't one particular player. IDK how Spags went from having a great 3 game stretch on defense to back to running Sutton's defense again. His defensive gameplan yesterday made 0 sense for the opponent.
  22. At this juncture in the game the Chiefs had a 99.4% chance to win and Reid blew it. I get that Winchester blew it on the FG snap and the next FG got blocked, but, even had we made the first FG being up 8 doesn't seal the game. I just wish Reid had lined up and ran it 2 times in a row if needed to seal the game with a 1st down. Being up 8 doesn't put the game away, it still gives them a chance.
  23. That's not true. I know where Lukas is going with the RB question, it was so nice to have Kareem Hunt but at the same time we can't spend high draft capital or $ on. RBs tend to fall in the draft so I would just keep rolling the dice on RBs 4th round on until you find the guy you can lean on.
