  1. Reports are the Jets are open to trading anyone except Darnold and Q. Williams. Cowboys rumored to be making a huge push for Jamal Adams. A. Talib and a 5th to MIA for a future draft pick.
  2. You know the title of this thread is "Crazy" trade deadline deals, right??? 🤣
  3. There's value out there without having to give up 1st round picks. We could get another DL or LB for mid round value.
  4. The Jets have made Le'Veon Bell available for trade. If a player is traded I think it voids out their guarantees and KC could re-work the deal to be more team friendly. I bet the Jets wouldn't require much for Bell in a trade. We could always turn around and trade one of our RBs as well. Pittsburgh may be without Connor for a while and is down to 1 RB.
  5. To do what you're suggesting, which was take LB over Hardman, is drafting Jachai Polite instead. Polite couldn't even make the Jets roster, was cut in training camp, picked up by the Seahawks and released again by them. I've been critical of Veach's drafts specifically the 2018 class, but so far Hardman and Thornhill have been home runs. After Devin White and Devin Bush, there wasn't much to write home about at LB in the 2019 draft. Bush went at 10th overall and another LB wasn't even drafted until Polite was at #68.
  6. I agree. We would have our pick of coaches if we needed one.
  7. I'm fine if they don't get the 4th and 3. They weren't stopping the Packers either way. To win, they would've had to get the 4th and 3, score a TD and then I would've gone for 2
  8. Right, it's all frustrating as hell. For all the great things Reid did to put us in a position to win, 1 or 2 decisions cost us the game. You can't trust your defense to get that stop.
  9. Oh sure, I'm positive Packers fans today have a ton of questions. But, I'm not a Packers fan. I actually agree with what you're saying, most of my concerns and worries come with the defense and the innate ability to never make a key stop when we need it. Yes, I understand the injuries are a reason for that. However, even with everyone healthy this was and is still a legitimate concern until our defense proves on a consistent basis they can be relied upon.
  10. Part of me is glad we were able to play it close and didn't get embarrassed. Part of me is disappointed with Andy Reid being so conservative in a game with nothing really to lose. I don't understand why we punted at the end. These are the concerns we should have with Reid being kind of soft. I'm sure all the injuries played into it, but still. He just cannot manage a game. This includes his awful in game challenges. The completion Rodgers made on the first drive of the game was a dumb challenge. But, as usual with Reid...there were also some really creative , smart play calls and great execution of out the offense with a 3rd string QB and injury riddled OL. I thought the OL played well considering 2-3 starters ending up being out. I thought Matt Moore, Kelce, Hill and Hardman played great. However, we need better efforts out of McCoy and Watkins going forward. I don't understand why we can't find a LB that can cover, or at least change the scheme accordingly so we don't lose the game because of it. Is Dorian O'Daniel so bad he can't even get snaps over Niemann when it's clear he's not an NFL starter? The defense was Jekyl and Hyde last night. Played great for a stretch in the first half, then just disappeared in the 2nd half. Credit Rodgers I guess, but it's the same song and dance when facing a top QB. We just can't make a stop when needed. We're always left with saying "well, so and so is a top 5 QB so..." It's just so hard to see us doing much this year. Sure, they'll most likely win an awful AFCW and get a home playoff game. But, that doesn't mean anything anymore because or coach isn't aggressive at the right times, can never win a challenge and our defense can't make pivotal stops against top offenses. The Chiefs are now 1-3 at home which is unacceptable. Maybe getting healthy changes all that, I'm not sure or confident it will going forward especially with the defense. Everything just kinda seems up in the air right now. Season could turn for the worse, or it could turn for the better if the injuries get cleaned up.
  11. Wilson looks great on blitzes keep it up and get him out of coverage
  12. Please make an adjustment with wilson on jones on pass plays.
  13. Just tank the season we're not winning anything with this defense. We do the same dumb things leaving linebackers one on one with running backs and safeties on wide receivers
  14. I saw it's a neck injury for Clark? I did not see this during or after last week's game. Any idea what happened?
  15. Mahomes officially listed as OUT for Sunday. No surprise. Frank Clark is a surprise with a neck injury. I did not see this last week after the game.
  16. There's no way he plays, nor should he. I mean, unless this is somehow a miracle of God and he's 100% already I don't see this as anything more than showing off to try and throw the Packers off. It was obvious in that video he was moving with a limp. I'm surprised he's out there at all. I still think he's going to miss 2-3 games at a minimum. I just hope these guys aren't trying to rush him out of desperation and risk further, more serious injury.
  17. I think so too, but they're still weak against the run.
  18. The Chiefs need to continue to attack team's weaknesses like they did against the Broncos. Green Bay has issues stopping the run. They're 25th overall in rushing yards allowed. With all things considered, the Chiefs need to focus their offense on the run to eat clock and keep their defense fresh and off the field. The Chiefs have 3 capable running backs to do so with. On defense, I want to see them stay aggressive and try to bring as much pressure as possible.
  19. I don't think we can assume that so easily because our defense is still a question mark or at least an unknown. If we could count on a top 10 defense then I would smirk at this and tend to agree, but if the defense goes back to how bad it's been then we're probably screwed. I think with Matt Moore we could struggle to put up points so if our defense reverts back to it's old self, I think it will be hard for us to beat anyone without Mahomes. However, if what we saw from the defense was in fact a step in the right direction and we can expect them to hold their own, then .500 without Mahomes out is not unrealistic.
  20. I read he showed up to their TC embarrassingly out of shape and they cut him becuase of it.
  21. I'm glad to see this. I think I said it earlier but the next 12+ seasons are more important than this season if need be, let him take his tame and make 100% sure he is 100% ready to go. I'm not scared if this season goes for the worse. The worst case scenario for me is rushing Mahomes back and having another injury occur. I'd rather go 5-11 instead of trying to get him back to save an 8-8 season.
  22. No, but they at least they have a solid defense to lean on. If the Chiefs' defensive improvement against Denver is a sign of change, then we should be ok. If it was just a fluke or whatever, then we are probably screwed. IMO, we're going to have a hard time scoring even 20 points a game so we are going to need the defense to get better and fast. I will say though, it would be just like the Chiefs to get the defense playing lights out the minute Mahomes gets hurt lol But, even if that is the case, we would be impossible to beat once he comes back so we could end up being a 10-6/9-7 division winner that no one wants to face in the playoffs.
