  1. Self awareness isn't strong there. This team just won the last two super bowls. That's a comment one could make after losing to the Dolphins or Bills, or literally any other "good" team that hasn't won anything. I understand being salty, but that's just a moronic statement.
  2. Feels like the Super Bowl was years ago. It’s finally football season. I’m making the trek to st Jo next Monday.
  3. I am late to this thread lol. Mecole, or as I've called him Mehcole, he does have a place and a purpose. I swear to god I was expecting him to drop that pass in the Super Bowl, but anyways... If he's a cheap contract #4 WR, that fits him, and I'm ok with that. A couple years ago when he was getting a lot more run at the top of the depth chart he was pretty much dogshit. Let him be a role player at a minimal contract and he's not a bad signing. That said, for the love of all that's holy, I don't ever want to see another jet sweep to him. 4th option in the progression, absolutely, because his speed puts pressure on a defense, especially against a nickle or dime back.
  4. If the get a facility like Vegas, we won't be able to do anything other than watch the games on tv, because tickets and PSL's will kill us average blue collar fans off. I really hope my state lures the Royals to go out by the track, and the Chiefs get the sports complex to themselves. If I understand the STAR bonds correctly, it's not county residents or anything like that who end up paying, there is a special sales tax in that business district that funds the loans. That means that everyone that shops at legends or goes to a game out there would be footing the bill. Personally, I like it, because it allows people who don't want to pay for it to opt out, if you don't go you aren't paying for it. I'm burnt the eff out on the "let the billionaires pay for their own stadiums" tag line coming from a lot of Kansas Republicans. It's a narrow minded view that's in opposition of how the world works, and I'm sure the same people saying it were in favor of Mars, Target, etc getting 25 year deals of no property taxes to build distribution centers south of Topeka. Inconsistent asshats are annoying af.
  5. Rice made a mistake with the street racing thing, but this latest thing is nothing. The Dallas News reported that two witnesses of the “assault” said there was no physical contact, just verbal arguing. Telling someone who is taking your picture when you don’t consent is justification for telling someone to fuck if in my book. In the quest of being first, internet warriors jumped the gun on the Rice situation. It was clickbait and got people riled up.
  6. Man, I always was against a dome but after sitting through that Miami playoff game my mind may have changed lol. As a season ticket holder, I selfishly don’t want them to move. It’s not that I care which of the state line they’re on, I just know a new stadium means PSL’s and the end of my tickets. Dragging arrowhead along as long as possible is the only way it stays affordable for us average schmucks.
  7. I was initially bothered by his low weight and how he’d respond to getting hit, then I remembered that the nfl neutered safeties years ago, and have basically removed hitting from the game. This dude is gonna be nasty. Wish I could get a jersey of him before draft fest Saturday.
  8. If it were me, I’d take another one tomorrow, then look at tight ends Saturday. Team will roster 6, maybe 7 receivers. One of Moore or Toney need to go. I’d like them both to go but I think bc they’re cheap we’ll keep one, so get that next guy to edge one out. Brown on a 1 year deal, our 2025 receivers would be set and cheap.
  9. He picked the correct school! And the dude has a really good chance of being a solid nfl player.
  10. The contract wouldn’t be big until after this upcoming season, where they are shedding a bunch of dead money. This year is transition for them.
  11. I think buffalo makes the most sense. They have the need, and he has one year left, so they can sweat out all that dead cap this year. I don’t think he’ll get a first tho.
  12. Getting him back at that number is a steal imo. A guy that can play inside and out, and seems to make plays at the right times. I couldn’t believe he was still on the market last week. 2 months ago I figured he’d get a nice contract from someone, for a lot more than the chiefs are paying. This is big positive for the defense.
  13. Kareem Hunt was released bc he lied to the chiefs about the incident. As an organization, and specifically Andy Reid, they are all about second chances. This has zero parallels to the Kareem Hunt situation.
  14. Government at its finest. My rural county in Kansas did the same thing to us, they “changed” the appraisal equation. The result? Your property appraisal skyrockets, which means property taxes do the same. Their response? The mill levy hasn’t changed so we didn’t raise your property taxes. Bullshit. Mine have doubled in 2 years. So I feel for the Jackson county residents on that front.
